Brilliant video. Like others, I moved into a house with this and didn't have a clue how to use it. This video is a perfect example of how a tutorial should be presented. Clear and concise. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much, I had worked out some details but unsure on others. One part that I really puzzled over was A, F or AF setting. Will use the F setting as recommended.
My thermostat just quickly flips between program times (morning, away, etc) when I hold down the program button to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Did it get updated or something? Edit: I do have an update version it looks like. I gave the physical on up switch and a work setting as well as a sun and moon. The F/A settings as well as Fahrenheit to C are not the same.
One thing. You show the power symbol and say that it shows that the unit is on, however it isn't mentioned again during the tutorial. In the handbook it says to be selected to power the unit off. Should the symbol be showing to show that the unit is working? Sorry if that's a stupid question, but my floor doesn't appear to be working.
@@Kiwiash1 glad yu clarified that -- I found that particular section confusing -- but the rest of the video is brilliant -- had the system for 3 years and not really looked at it - but had to move my husbands bedroom to my office in the ground floor and I have had to move my office to the conservatory -- where this system has been installed -- so it is a necessity to be able to control it with winter not far away -- I thank you from my now comfortable office space ;-)
Great tutorial. Thought I had set everything correctly but I find even though I have set the timer to come on at programmed times the heating comes on before these times. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for the great tutorial! Could you please explain how I can turn it permanently off? I don’t think this was mentioned in the video. Thank you!
Go to the video at: ruclips.net/video/Z7NSZaTW90A/видео.html Then go time line 11.34 to 12.25 and it talks about Frost Protection. This is the closest thing to an off that this unit has. It puts a new icon in the top left corner but only shows up when the Mode button is pushed. The arrow does not show beside the this icon but the icon will flash 3 times and then the thermostat will shut down.
My unit shows period 4 in the house, the moon symbol, and 5 bars of power being used.Temperature is showing 21. I thought your excellent video had explained everything, but I’m still puzzled.
Hi your help is much needed. i have made the settings as suggested in video,i can still see the heating symbol on screen but neither the automatic nor manual setup is not working.can you suggest something.
What model is yours, is it the TH132 or the TH232. If its the TH232 turn it off and see if the heating symbol goes away, if not the thermostat is broken. If does go away you may not be setting the temperatures correctly.
When I use the floor sensor as suggested the temp reading is so high it wont turn on. Saying its 26 degrees when its actually cold. Heating wont come on at all now in any sensor mode or in manual. Any ideas? Thanks
Fantastic tutorial. I struggled so much with "translating" the manufacturers user guide into user-speak. Their instructions are appalling. They obviously NEVER tested the manual with real end-users. This tutorial, however, is bang on the button. This video was so easy to follow. Well done. Top marks from me.
This video makes the paper instructions look like a bad joke! Now I've learnt a bit more about these units, but I still have two issues. Last night, I was reprogramming the switch times for these (I have one in each room) and in the morning I discovered the heating had been on all night!!! Looking at the display at about 06:30, I found them all stuck on Period 3 when logically they should have been on Period 4, since the start times were set to 07:00. After 7 o'clock I was more than pleased to see them all switch to Period 1 - great! Question: what happened to Period 4? Are we going to have another repeat of all-night heating tonight? I sincerely hope not. Next issue: when I attempted to use the F (Floor) sensors, as recommended, I got two dashes '- -' when I *know* I had sensors fitted under the floor! So have they all failed? (This job's about 8 years old). I'm not going to rip up the tiled floor for sure. Let's hope my bills don't skyrocket.
Ooops! Found I'd made a programming error, ie, 0700~0900 and 0500~2200 instead of 0700~0900 and 1700~2200. This would explain the "stuck on Period 3" symptom. But not the "- -" Floor Sensor readings. Anyone out there with an explanation for me?
Push the SUN button once and make sure the temperature is 26, if it shows 26 then maybe the heating source is faulty.? Make sure the heating SYMBOL is shown on the screen.
there should be a socket with just a switch and fuse access in the room where the thermostat is fitted (uk by law ) --- also if you press the on/off symbol and the symbol shows on the display on the unit then it is switched off
Make sure its on, hold Program button for at least 5 seconds so the screen changes to a new screen, use up or down buttons to select F or C them push mode to reset.
@@Kiwiash1 tried 3 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, no new menu comes up , maybe it's an older model. Also there is no option to change from air or floor sensor. I'm getting my underfloor heating serviced soon, so maybe they can sort it out. Might just need a new thermostat panel.
You have explained so much details but haven't told the most important thing, how to completely switch off the system. Unfortunately the turn on/off button doesn't work somehow and have no idea why.
There must always be a master switch positioned a feet or two above the stat to shut the system down, certainly so in the UK. This will be the switch to turn it off totally. If there isn't one then get an electrician in to do it according to local standards. I turn mine off totally in Spring and on again in autumn.
Anyone have issues with energy consumption when using these? Since the days got shorter here in Scotland, our Electric bill has more than tripled (70/80 pm - over 250!!)... Obviously use the lights a bit more, but we have gas central heating so besides what else is usually using the electric, the only think I can think of is the underfloor heating - we have these in front and back porch - which I turned on in October... I leave it set on manual with floor temp at 20 degrees, so nothing crazy. Just seems ridiculously excessive, thinking of getting rid.
I had them on for around 6 months straight, was probably costing me around £250-300. Last year we finally had our woodburner in before the winter and haven't turned the heated floor on since. Electric bill went from £420 a month to £120 a month (even during the winter lol). I also don't have gas at my house BTW 😁
Hola no sabrás como funciona el modelo Aube TH136 termostato programable Gracias Hello, you will not know how the Aube TH136 programmable thermostat works. Thanks
Thank you for explanation. I must say, this aube thermostat is the most irritating user NOT friendly I ever encounter in my life. Life is simple. Switch on and switch off. You want it fancy, program to switch on at this time and off at this time. Too much unnecessary confusing with comfort temperature, economic temperature, manual, program 1 to 4.
By far the best and easiest controller to use, even my mother-in-law has changed hers to these and loves them. Total common sense, and this guy makes it even easier and clearer.
Thankyou. At last, after 10 years, I can understand my thermostat.

Thank you, for an awesome walkthrough, as someone who just started using these I appreciate the great breakdown on how to operate them.
This video has been an absolute life saver.
Thanks so much! I moved into a house without the manual and this video is a life saver!
Thank you! Excellent step by step explanation and follow-along to program our thermostat
Well done. A somewhat complicated program made easy by this video, VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
Wow thank you just moved into an apartment and it’s real cold, couldn’t figure out how to use my thermostats lol this video is great!
Thank you so much. At long last a clear and straightforward set of instructions :)
Great video - had these for years and now I understand how to use it. Thanks

Very clear instructions. Well done
Simple straightforward.
Only problem is mine keeps clicking on and off. Hopefully it will work now.
Thanks so much for this! Had to set the temp each time before.
Cheers for the video!! Awesome and clear.
I wish I'd looked for this video sooner. The instructions are incomprehensible. Just trying find out why the power heating element isn't displaying

I have this thermostat and although I ask for heat I hear the click asking for a connection but no heat on the floor.
It would sound like the element has failed or the temperature may need to be turned up more.

I have got mine set up to go by floor temp but can’t work out how to set it to floor and air temp.
It depends on the model you have, some you push and hold the CLEAR button and change it there with the up and down arrows.
@@Kiwiash1 don't work but thanks
Thanks!!
After 6 years I sitll can't programme my thermostat. Have to take out the fuse to turn it completely off. Gas bill was rocketing.
how do you turn it off? there is no on and off button
Hi, this is the video for the TH232 model which has an off button as described in the video.
I’ve set the comfort temperature to 26, the hand is shown on screen. But the temp on screen is 22 why?
Push the SUN button once and make sure the temperature is 26, if it shows 26 then maybe the heating source is faulty.? Make sure the heating SYMBOL is shown on the screen.
Great
Thank you
Hey, I’m pressing clear and I can’t change the sensors
Have you the TH132 AF or the TH232 AF? I have the TH132 AF model and like you cannot change sensors. Maybe its a feature if TH232 only?
How do I know when it is off, without heating anything?
When the OFF symbol is on the screen.
Did anyone find out how to completely turn it off?
Waiting for that also!
Same here

Any idea how to simply turn off the system please ?
If you have the TH232 it has an off/on button. If you have the TH132 push the suitcase button.
