I started one person with a backpack, for Party inventory management. My group handles things similarly, love Cairn for the chaos it allows players to unfurl! The things your boys come up with makes me chuckle every time 😂
Enjoyed your video! I'm putting together a Cairn campaign now that includes some elements from Index Card RPG, Lots of good ideas for designing encounters with quick drawn Index cards (some disposable, some reusable).
@Entreri84 I'm thinking of adding the fury dice, and the resistance roll. Also like the bit about using a die as a timer to get players on edge as they watch the die go down round by round!
@@SoloBattles I use a little timer, A 1 minute (hour) glass that the kids got from the dentist so they would brush long enough. Fury/rage die and effort die are both things I have incorporated to great effect in cairn.
They were lucky it was a Cairn boar and not a Shadowdark one. In my new SD campaign, two boars from a random encounter almost made a total party kill. They are crazy dangerous.
an alternative to rolling 3 d 6 for Traits roll 2 d 6 and add 6 this will an 8 to 18 spread. some times some gamers think 18 is to high roll 2d6 and add 5 will give 7 to 17 or 2d6 and add 4 for a 6 to 16 spread.
The weather i would change to a 2d6 kind, for a better bell curve. Having almost the same chance of a extreme and nice chance is way close chance to me
Pain Band should be petty. I'll fix it.
Also the letter is petty as it says, it doesn't take up a slot.
Oh and the crystal prism lol
Great video!
Just one thing! Those petty items don't take any slots! You were right the way you ruled it! Or am I wrong? I'll have to double check it.
You are right.
I missed the relevance of "petty" in my speed-read through the rules lol, good catch!
haha I feel like I’m seeing my players ! It’s a very good advertisement for the game anyway!
one 1gp/day hireling pushing a handcart and suddenly your inventory is much larger!!
"Petty items do not take up any slots"
🤣 This was fun to watch. I cannot wait to hear more adventures from your players too.
Sounds awesome! Would love to hear some more of your campaign!

Totally great! I wonder though, how'd you do your character illustrations?
I use the HeroForge site to brainstorm ideas of what characters would look like
Every character we created in Cairn 1e started with 10 gear, it was frustrating so we ended up cheating the system and doubled up small things
Elon Tusk is cannon now.

How many players do you need
