Rivian R1S spare tire installation and four tires rotation.

I decided to rotate my tires for the first time since ownership. It’s at 21k miles and it’s mostly road trip miles in conserve mode. The front tires started to get louder and rotating them reduced the noise…for now. While in the process, I just decided to install the spare to be familiar with how to do it if/when the real situation arises.

Wow, thank you so much. I've been looking for such a video for a long-time, this was very instructional.
Notably I had gotten super frustrated getting the tire out of the trunk due to that metal rod… turns out as you’ve pointed out it can just be removed. Facepalm 😂
1hr does sound painful on the side of the highway, but might still be better than getting a tow truck scratch your car.... TBD

@@Mentaloow thanks! I wanted to know exactly how to do it before I was in a tricky situation and don’t know what to do. Some places we go a tow truck won’t make it. Lol!

No offense, but it makes more sense to set the truck to the low setting before changing the tires, cause technically you don't need/want to go under the car to do the job. Lower the truck sits, easier/faster to jack up the truck. Going to try it when i need to rotate the tires on my R1T.

I guess that could be possible only if the suspension doesn’t extend while you jack it up…then you may have to jack it up the whole way if the wheels droop down. One way to find out!
