      1. Continue to max out Roth IRA.
      2. Save up for an apartment with my gf(first, last, security deposit, furniture is no joke).
      3. Pay down last bit of debt I have($3800)
      4. Flesh out emergency fund(not expecting it to be fully funded in '25)
      5. If all goes well towards the tail end of the year would like to begin helping my gf pay down her student loans.

    Yes, health = wealth. The money you invest in staying healthy is probably a lot less than when you get sick and need treatment. Taking care of my health (physically and mentally) is a permanent goal for me. 😃

      Soo true! It’s truly an investment that pays off by reducing spending later!

    Thank you so much for your videos. I hope you continue producing content!
    I want to let you know that I really appreciate what you have said regarding health budgets or the mindset towards spending money on bettering ourselves. This has resonated with me on a level that I cannot even articulate. Wanting to be better for your kids, yourself and even your future self. I love it. I think when you have low self-esteem then any money spent soley on yourself or healthier choices seem like a waste of money. I could go on and on about how this has just helped me but I will run out of character spaces.
    Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

      So happy you left this comment! Thanks for much for letting me know. And honestly the self-esteem part is right. I struggle a lot with that and it leads me to spend less on myself or delay spending I should do. I'm trying to overcome that and my 2025 goals are health & confidence. I'll definitely keep making videos, so thanks for watching!

    Mary - I love this mindset. I'm sorry to hear about your family members, but you're taking the right messages from this. ❤️ You really got me when you said "I'm done with spending as little as possible." - spending it in the RIGHT ways is so much more important than just stopling spending

    I have seen a RUclipsr who makes a lot on Etsy and I think its because her videos show her using her trackers and saving challenges all the time. People see you using your products, gives them ideas on how to also use them in their lives and they'll probably buy them. Just a thought...

    My 2025 goals are to push myself to new heights in saving and investing by putting away 70% of my income. This year, I did 40% so I should be able to hit 70% in 2025. I am transitioning from a saver to a spender as I increase my cashflow through paying off rentals

    • @PenniesNotPerfection
      @PenniesNotPerfection  Месяц назад

      Wow 70% is an incredible savings rate! How much are you earning to make that work? Also encouraging to hear the rentals will be paid off and giving more cash flow.. what a dream!

  • @Madison-i3h

    Agree you need to focus on health. However, I don’t agree with your perspective of spending whatever’s necessary. I’m healthy. I have a planet fitness membership (they have group classes), cut calories, choose healthy foods from Aldi and go to the doctor regularly. I don’t think buying organic produce and spending a bunch of money would change anything…you can and can’t prevent cancer or other diseases. More money and investments decreases stress overall which will help your health. It has to be a mental shift as well. No fast food etc. I used to do yoga, barre, and Pilates heavily. It gets very expensive and you don’t need it. That spending can spiral out of control very quickly. Your mind will make allowances and tell you it’s ok. That money can go to your down payment.

    • @PenniesNotPerfection
      @PenniesNotPerfection  21 день назад

      Different things work for different people. What works for you doesn't mean it's the right or only way to do things. Maybe you don't need something but I do? Maybe someone else doesn't need to save for a down payment and is happy renting? Personal finance is very personal and finding what works for you is important.

    • @Madison-i3h
      @Madison-i3h 21 день назад

      @@PenniesNotPerfection missing the entire point of what I was trying to say, and instead got defensive and of course, I predicted that you would be stubborn in regards to what I said, but you are providing information and advice to an entire RUclips community. You Also mentioned in this video, saving for a down payment. in what world is investing in fitness class imore important than saving for a growing asset and investment?

    • @PenniesNotPerfection
      @PenniesNotPerfection  21 день назад

      I don't feel defensive or stubborn and I can disagree without insulting the other person. Personally, we invest every single month, we're happy with our net worth, and having money has already allowed me to stress less. I'm choosing to put my money towards things that I will actually use and will improve my health overall. I have tried the cheap gyms near me and they were wasted money because I never went.. but I will show up multiple times a week for pilates or yoga. That works for me. And I'm happy you found what works for you!
      Sharing my personal goals isn't providing advice to an entire community because plenty of people who watch my videos do NOT have the same goals. Quite. a lot don't want to own a house and definitely don't want to be landlords. Sharing personal experiences are not meant to be universal advice and when someone like you shares their personal experience... I don't take it as advice.
