The bottle rack might be a good idea in terms of size but if you were to put wine there it would be subject to constant variation of temperature because obviously the dishwasher heats up when in use. Maybe someone at the hardware store (or your dad, he seemed to be quite crafty and creative) can create something like a tiny version of a pantry pull-out where you could store any item you need for the dishwasher like tabs, salt and rinse aid. That way this space does not go to waste.
@@veronicarose6986 Yes!!! Cookie sheets would be great because I was about to write that storing any food or chemical near a hot surface would not be advisable. Bakeware or anything else that is temperature-proof would be ideal.
Don’t put a bottle rack next to the dishwasher. It omits heat when you use it and that’s not a ideal storage condition for any bottle of drink. My suggestion is to move the dishwasher in the middle and simply add two narrow boards on each side in the same color as the cabinets to blend it in. I’m sure you’ve got a ton of leftover scrap wood.
Freddy I’m an ex architect and I just thought I’d suggest this- paint the cornices the colour of the wall, not the ceiling if you want the room to look bigger. If you colour it the same as the ceiling it’ll appear that it’s lower than it is. Visually if it’s the colour of the wall then it’ll appear higher. Well done on your renovations! Looking great
My parents had a gap like your dishwasher had and they commissioned someone to make a rolling cutting table to create more counter space for the kitchen!
Yeah that would be a really smart thing to do however, Freddy if you do, then I would suggest not designing the "pull out tray rack" too close or fitting to the washing/drying machine because it might cause mold problems next to your appliances. Hope that helps ♡
I’d just like to say something! When I was out shopping I saw a gorgeous blouse and I was like wow that’s so Freddy! Then it hit me. I want to be like you one day and be so iconic and fabulous that when people see an item of clothing in my style they’d be able to say wow that’s so Emily! Love you Freddy and congrats on your new flat it’s looking gorgeous, best wishes everyone 🙏🏼
I love this series 😍😍😍. For the gap next to the dishwasher: I would not put food, condiments, spices... there, because of the temperature. But maybe you can put a pull out pole in there for dishtowels. You will probably always need a towel for the dishes anyway, so that might be a good place. Sorry for not knowing the official name if it has one, I'm from Germany😅😊
My grandma had a gap by her dishwasher and used to put a metal thing that you could pull out which had all her tea towels on, and that ment they serre tucked out the way which was nice x
For the dishwasher gap maybe a really long pole to hang a teatowel on would work? Something you could pull out? Idk it might work. Your flat looks beautiful!
I’ve been LOVING these vlogs, everything looks wonderful in your flat. You’ve inspired me to pay a bit more attention to detail and fix up a few things in my own apartment. Also, I’ve heard your time lapse music so many times in these videos but I love it every time!
Been absolutely obsessed with this series, I find something so satisfied about decorating and renovating. Also, this definitely helps me understand what I would want my future flat to look like. Love you Freddy💕!
Things are coming together so beautifully! I’m thoroughly loving these videos! Thank you so much for taking us along on this exciting journey! As far as your gap by the dishwasher, I would think your talented dad could build you a little roll-out storage pantry (there are numerous types pinned on Pinterest, if you need ideas or a starting point)! However, I would be hesitant to put the usual food items, spices or drinks that close to the temperature changes of the dishwasher. But what a great place to store dishwasher soap, cleaning supplies, hang some scrub brushes, etc. and perhaps add some clips to hang your dish towels to dry overnight, and it all will be neat and tidy and out of sight. Finish the outside like the rest of the cabinetry, add a matching knob and you’ll be set! But I really love the idea of taking advantage of every bit of potential storage space, no matter how you choose to make it function well for you! Architectural details are the best thing ever! Love the addition of the coving/crown molding and dado rail/chair rail! You just can’t go wrong and it makes such a huge transformational difference (for the better!!! 😉🥰😍). Because each room is painted different colors, something I like to do when trying to create visual flow throughout my home is to try and carry some of the adjoining color into the next room. Perhaps get some throw cushions in a color very similar to Nutmeg White for your sofa, or find some upholstered chairs in a similar tone, you could even paint the matting to match when you have artwork framed... so many little ways to tie things together to make your home feel cohesive! Perhaps find a “hero fabric” with colors in your living room, the kitchen and the hallway and make some throw cushions for your sofa and/or chairs. The possibilities are endless! Just have fun and know you have plenty of time to add things as you live there! Another unsolicited suggestion... instead of just changing out the smoke detector at the top of the landing, next to what will be a gorgeous statement light I’m sure, have your electrician move it over next to the wall where the railing is attached, as not to spoil the magnificence of the light fixture area. Smoke will rise to all areas of that ceiling if there is a fire! If it would be an issue to hardwire it there, maybe go for one with batteries that can be placed anywhere. Just remember to change the batteries every 6 months without fail. I do mine every time we do those silly time changes and have to set all of our clocks! I can’t wait for the next installment! You’re getting so close to move-in condition, and then you can take care of those few tweaks after you get settled! Your dreams are coming true right before your eyes! I couldn’t be happier for you! Woo Hoo with a big ol’ side of Yay! 🎉🍾🥂
@@OWB-ml2ux Thanks. I love being encouraging, as well as sharing thoughts, ideas and my experiences... and I tend to go on about subjects I enjoy! I just get excited about so much, I feel like I’m often writing a thesis! 😉😊😆 However, if some think I write a bit much, because indeed I do, I guess they aren’t forced to read it. It’s just so hard for me to be concise when so much fabulousness is going on!!! 😍🥰😍 Happy you enjoyed my two or three cents worth! 😄🥰😃
I love watching your flat makeover videos! I always really, really look foreward to them. It just gets me so excited for when I have my own flat to beautify one day.
All of your selections are beautiful, but most importantly they are so you and bring you joy! Your Dad seems talented enough that he could make you a roll out spice cabinet, roll out towel holders cabinet, or you can center the dishwasher and he can make a filler on either side and on the top. And you just paint any of those with the same paint used on all of the cabinetry. So lovely that your mom, Dad, and boyfriend are all working with you on this project! Love the sing alongs! And your commentary is always priceless! I would love a “what would Freddy say?” T-shirt! What a sweet, fun, and talented group you all are!
Freddy, I bought my first apartment too and your videos are so helpful! I am super thankful for tip on Oracdecor, I was struggling to find the right skirting and moulding in my country. Greetings from Czechia!
Been watching this makeover and I am absolutely hooked!! You and your family have put so much dedication and hard work into making this flat so beautiful it’s truly inspiring and amazing to watch. Plus you have such a gorgeous voice!! I really hope you record some songs soon!!! Sending you love 💕🌟☺️
It could also be a pullout to hold trash bags, aluminum foil (if she usese it), prchment paper, etc., or a pull out shelf for cookie shetts, pizza pans, flat things like that.
Really love the sofa and goes so well in the living room. Perfect size, shape and colour. Also the colours you have chosen for the hallway and landing. Well done on all the hard work!
Finally the episode I’ve seen waiting for. Looks absolutely amazing Freddy ❤️ Thank you for recording and taking us along on this journey with you. Was so fun watching you and your family build your dream apartment together. The couch you chose is absolutely stunning, couldn’t be more you! Lyyy 💕
Fab Freddy 😍🏡 your so right to get the flat perfect before you move in! It's so difficult to get all those jobs done when your trying to live in it! Cannot wait to see the finished product 😍 how exciting x
to go in the gap where the dishwasher is you could have a tea towel rail that pulls out? so it doesn’t completely fill the gap but it still uses the space and it’s tucked away because they are normally quite ugly so you don’t have to see unless you are actually using it!
We had a gap near our cooker and we added a vertivle drawer where we keep oven gloves and olive oil. You could also put your spices in there or something like that
I think a spice drawer looks pretty to fit in the gap! A bottle rack sounds like a good idea too, but I'm imagining that it looks more practical and more pretty if it were a cute and narrow drawer to fill in your spices or anything else!♥️
With the gap next to the dishwasher you could see if ikea or maybe build a slim line shelf on a roller to store things there, maybe some cleaning stuff, spices etc
So where the massive gap is beside the washer, they make really nice roll out cart that would fit perfectly in that spot. A lot of the time they sell them in the laundry departments.
For that gap you could build a rack that rolls out. You can find DIY instructions all over Pinterest and you could store things like spices or cleaning products

Wow wee!! I already can’t wait for Christmas with Freddy’s 🎄I am sure it will be magical in BreakfastatFreddy’s ♥️ Thank you, Freddy this is amazing!! It was worth the wait!! 💖
You could put a tiny pull out spice cupboard in the tiny gap in the kitchen, or maybe a little nook for chopping boards? Make it look like it was supposed to be there 😂

Brilliant idea 👏👏
It also might be a great space for cookie sheets. A piece of wood and a thin cabinet door and you have easy vertical storage for your bake wear. 😊
@@veronicarose6986 Yes!!! Cookie sheets would be great because I was about to write that storing any food or chemical near a hot surface would not be advisable. Bakeware or anything else that is temperature-proof would be ideal.
@@ania5038 I didn’t think it would do any harm to dishwasher supplies but you might have a point here!
Maybe tea trays or cutting boards would stack there nicely?
As someone who has moved before, I would just like to say that Freddy and her family are amazing for doing so much of the work themselves
It seems her dad has some contractor experience - that’s always a big help.
You pick the best music!
@@teambeining I think he does too. I wouldn’t want my family helping 😂 it would look awful lol

Wonderful idea! 😊 or Freddy's Dad can try to make the cabinet next to the dishwasher just a little bigger.
This is the best idea or do pull out to store baking sheets and cutting boards.

Now that's a very good idea! b/c then Freddy could feature a local carpenter.
maybe you can add a custom-made "pull-out" spice-rack/drawer in the gap between your cupboards and dishwasher
Great idea!
Yeah that would be a really smart thing to do however, Freddy if you do, then I would suggest not designing the "pull out tray rack" too close or fitting to the washing/drying machine because it might cause mold problems next to your appliances. Hope that helps ♡
@@hxneylove3847 Also you should storage your spices in even temperature, not in dishwasher heat. Stays fresher longer.
Yeah i was just thinking about that
Hey Fred’s at the end of every episode could you just walk through the whole apartment to give the idea of what it currently looks? 😛
You could put a cute curtain or door over the dishwasher so it looks hidden/part of the cabinet!
That's a great idea! 😊
this is a great suggestion
Your efforts have clearly paid off! The flat looks phenomenal

pull out vertical towel rack. xx
Yep I was going to suggest the same, especially as she has no where else it seems to hang tea towels, or dish cloths to dry. There are pull out poles.
I‘m also from Germany!😂
That sofa is…WELL… chic, classic, elegant, glamourous, extravagent, feminine, classy, cute, sophisticated, polished and Freddy.

For the dishwasher gap maybe a really long pole to hang a teatowel on would work? Something you could pull out? Idk it might work. Your flat looks beautiful!
I think a spice rack would be good there in between the dishwasher and cabinet
Yes! Like one of those pull out ones. Could even be custom built to match the rest of the cabinetry so it would blend in.

Omg. Me too. My heart was in my mouth when she put her foot on the banister just wearing socks which could be slippy.
I can't believe how you didn't fall down the stairs when you were leaning over it painting above it. I'm impressed.

Can we just talk about how Freddy's style and her father's is so different.
Yes he looks like a rock star!! Also Coco is the spitting image of her father!
I agree and her mom’s style looks very different from her as well.
