Boycott those corporations
I ordered Anya's new book " Corporate Coup," yesterday. I can't wait to digest her factual based intellectual rigor on Venezuela. Bravo to Anya and the Grayzone! - Joe Frisina, BA Pitt, anti-war protester since 1969.
“It’s eating itself from the inside.”… No truer words have been spoken. Thank you Anya!!!
The system may collapse but the billion who run it will always be just fine.
Anya is really stepping up the game!!
Thank you all so much!
It's the same old story.. I am tempted to read the book.
Thank you Anya, Thank you Grayzone.
So glad to be privileged to hear this reporting.
Thank you Anya. Independent journalists with journalistic integrity are the heroes of our time.
Heroes of our time. Yes, well pasted. Hooray.
Yes, yes, yes ! Finally someone tells the truth !
Most of us don't know the truth and would never know if it wern't for Anya....
@urrywest well there are many who are telling the truth or would speak up but are banned or shut up or dismissed or eliminated !!!! Just in the communism I would say
Excellent reporting again, thank you 👏
Fully in agreement with you. Venezuela 🇻🇪 has great resources and is a beautiful country.
Being good at making money does not necessarily mean a person is a good person or will make the best decisions
It is just the opposite in fact. Wealth is a metric that measures one thing, the amount of harm that you (and your ancestors, if inherited wealth) have caused on this planet.
The US doctrine is smart people are rich, poor people are stupid. I was explained this fact during my short lived stint at US call center, questioning why we where only calling the poorest of the poor to sell a 'credit repair' program.
@@anonuser6867 To general statement in my opinion, while it seems to be mostly true that behind any great wealth lies a big crime.
Thank you Anya!!!!!
It’s not just the desperate migrants from countries they actively destabilise. There is also a persistent campaign to “offer” immigration facilitation in developing countries who are doing fairly well, to extract its best and most educated citizens and vacuum them to the West. If you’re a citizen of a western country, you should know this, and wonder why your governments do this instead of economic planning to provide for your rights and career prospects at all levels of the workforce.
He says the immigrants are mostly families; no one else says that. All the border people say most of the immigrants are NOT families, but are single, military-aged men.
I lived near El Paso it was mostly women and children but past 6 years that has changed drastically to men.
Who is "all the border people"?
Send them to Tel Aviv
@durango8882 we have been working on this, crossing references and such. I would think that is because the men walk across and the families surrender to border patrol at check points. To be process and then released until court dates and eventual deportation, barring any major reason or connection (i.e. daughters and sons reunited and such).
This is such a nefarious term - military-aged. Most men ARE military-aged. Of course healthy and young men go first, not kids or elderly.
Venezuela actively supports Belt and Road cooperation and backs the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping

My personal note:
While the oil boom in my country brought many riches, it brought with it widespread corruption and inequality. Government after government centered our economy on the oil industry at the expense of the development of manufacturing and agriculture. As a result, people from the countryside moved to the big cities in search of job opportunities and live in slums.
I mention this because it’s important not to conclude that Venezuela‘s problems and the recent wave of immigrants are only or mainly the result of US embargoes and political interventions. Surely they made things worse but our culture of corruption, deeply rooted in Venezuela’s society and idiosyncrasy, well one that pushed many of us to leave for the United States and other countries since the mid-90s. Unsurprisingly, today we are at the top of the list of the most corrupt countries in the world, and under Chavez, we became one of the most violent countries in terms of criminality. It was bad enough for me even before he came into power anyway. Never in the 28 years that I lived in my home country from the late '60s until the '90s, did we have this wave of political prisoners, jailed journalists, and judges threatened by the government for doing the right thing. Maduro and his circle are no doves for peace either and that includes the ever-corrupt, freeloader members of the military and their involvement in political affairs. I could keep going and going, but I’ll leave it at that.
theyre blamming the US i lived in colombia my whole life Venezulans left their country way before trump cause Maduro and his politicians are all corrupt !!! Just look at El Salvador a non corrupt President vs a corrupt One Maduro !! the problem is their Politicians and Biden wants as many Future Democrat voters by mass paroling millions !!! ding ding !! theyll blame everyone but themselves !!!
Thanks!
Pembajakan/ perampokan di zaman modern, seperti itulah sanksi itu. " US Sanction".
The theft of Venezuelans, Libya and Ukraine's gold smells of desperation. The confiscation of foreigners bank assets is another sign of latter day Empire.
Why isn't anyone going down there along the route to talk to immigrants? I want to know their perspectives
Venezuela needs to join BRICS and finally realize its potential so the people can truly flourish.
How would that benefit BRICS?
It would be awesome for the US if Venezuala joined BRICS because it would drag down the value of BRICS.
@@CandiceMMartinezhow do you figure? Venezuela’s oil reserves alone would benefit both BRICS and Venezuela…. They sit on nearly 20% of total global oil reserves
It is basically already happening. They just cannot declare it or else, ground invasion.
Shahid Bolsen uses the phrase OCGFC...owners & controllers of global financial capital.
Just call them capitalists.
1% will do.
I wrote about all these facts years ago. F**k! I would love to work for The Grayzone. 😢
BRAVO !!
The new wave is from the policy of the southern border opening up since the Venezuelan economic collapse was 2018 and before. Oh you bring it up at 9:30 nevermind. Gastown went to heck in the new Mad Max movie in about 7+ years too after the worse warlord took over. Thanks for sharing Anya, very interesting interview!
And still no mention of the Koch brothers' influence in what happened to Venezuela; the refineries that processed Venezuelan crude were owned by subsidiaries of Koch Industries. When Chavez wanted to raise the price of Venezuelan crude to be in line with global prices, the Koch Brothers used their influence in Washington to enact the sanctions, leading to the situation of today.
For the algo
@@Placid_Catthanks yo!
Excelente
It's great to hear the narrative in Hispanic English. Please a version in Spanish voice over also. Kudos GZ team
It's propaganda aimed for US citizens. They're trying to convince to accept Biden's migrant invasion because it's our fault somehow
Ask Europe, how much American regime changes and wars in Middle East, Iraq, Afganistan, Syria, Libya, etc have already cost those countries and then Europe. I heard only RFK jr even mentions that.
Well duh
Sanction EQUAL keep them poor 😢
Everyone already knows that
😂 what is the title of that intro piece, “Getting Dressed For the Funeral?” Venezuela is not falling all over themselves to join Brics, because they don’t want to be invaded.
Interviewer: All I would say is listen to the answer and react to it rather than just ask the next question.
Not hating. Good interview.
Like the 'Sputnik Shock' of the late 1950s that hastened national security policies to grant working class families access to public colleges (for middle management positions), the geopolitical context of mass immigration is a shift toward *a war economy* (though Venezuelan petrol is a valuable strategic objective in that context as well, the US is an oil producer itself, especially when prices are high enough to sustain shale extraction).
In order to fight a Russian Federation in Europe and a People's Republic of China in the Pacific in _simultaneous_ large scale military conflicts, the US would need a recruitment pool of around *_a billion people_* ...
It is the same with corporate intersectionalism: _'women, queers and people of colour to the front_ !'
[if women labour had remained banned as achieved in the late 19th century by the workers movement, wages for men could sustain marriage and the raising of offspring - according to Marxist Richard David Wolff - since normalizing woman's labour in two world wars, however - and the offshoring of production to China in order to undermine trade unions - a *demographic decline* among the remaining labour pool of _working poor singles_ threatens sustained military recruitment, forcing a lift on virtually all US immigration control]...
The same goes for the politics of the European Commission since 2015, advocating a laissez-faire influx of Syrian refugees while the CIA invades their country with Iraqi mercenary terrorists - and populations are thus polarized along these policies, in fact preparing the psychological conditions of _civil war_ - with Western chauvinists, feminists and queers rooting for Transatlantic global supremacy: a _liberal empire_ , and _traditionalists_ around the planet praying for the _total_ dismantlement of 'enlightened' Western civilization, liberal or socialist (leaving 'Chinese characteristics' as the only model of mere nationalism within multi-polar international affairs).
Once this current _world war_ escalates into it's thermo-nuclear phase, a return to the baseline of civilization: _feudalism_ will be the 'progress' that modernity has ultimately achieved (with WW II as a foreshadowing of barbarism)...
SMH, damn
What does Anya think about the likelihood of future US created regime change, now that secrecy is difficult?

It's amazing how Qatar also has sanctions for the Saudia. Yet, Qatar is one of the wealthiest countries in the world.
Qatar doesn't have socialist policies.
Are you aware that Qatar's oil is controlled by the state? 70% of its revenue...
I was supposed to incure a lifetime of debt (Mortgage) for a (Home Owner) social status derived from the descendants of genocidal thieves, but I didn't do that stupid💩
17:44 could turnabout be Fairplay?
Greater Israel is to blame for migration waves
This is what sanctions does to a country.
God forbid Maduro and his politicians weren't corrupt !! the severe problem with Venezuelas economic problem happened way before trump in 2016 millions of Venezuelans left to Colombia and i lived there so i know !! it wasn't trump !!! speaking facts that you dont know just makes you look like a clown ! just look at el slavador went from the most dangerous to the safest currently and just look at the differences between Nayib Bukele a non corrupt and look at maduro a dictator and a corrupt !!!
Done on purpose to empty countries from younger generations, weaken economies, destabilise societies and cause poverty and crimes ...... And in the end the West enter those countries as savours for people ....but in reality the West don't want to see third world countries develop and thrive and live in peace ....
Sanctions, which are what the Ukraine war was about, give a big boost to Russia.
When Trump imposed a "total economic embargo " on Venezuela, he condemned the people to starvation. Few in US understand 1. Venezuela possesses the largest known fossil fuel resources on Earth, and 2. the legal definition of a total economic embargo is a "Declaration of War ".
Trump is a tool by Oil firms, wall street and arm manufacturers to impose sanctions to bring governments down to their knees and beg US oil firms to take Oil in 70/30 share (70% would go to US firms)! ... That's how it's done in Gulf states ...
Venezuela tanked their own economy before Trump's sanctions. Even before Obama's sanctions.
All Trump and Obama did was kick them while they were down.
@@NeoFreshair That makes no sense. Trump wants to drill our own oil, which I am not 100% on board because I don't want places like Alaska destroyed.
If Trump wanted to destroy someone else's environment for oil, it wouldn't bother me so much. I still wouldn't like it though.
Trump is too worried about our own oil.
The United States government has imposed a cruel embargo on Cuba for more than 60 years and then blames the Cuban government for the economic crises. Despite this, Cuba has survived and continues to maintain free healthcare and education for all its citizens. Cuba also maintains its solidarity with the world by sending doctors to any country that requests them. The politically motivated inclusion of Cuba on the United States list of sponsors of terrorism has also limited the purchase of basic items such as food, medicine, fuel, etc. Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua are sister nations that know the criminal tactics of the United States.
you probably forgot why because of the Cuban missile crisis they had Russians under their wing and God forbid be blame their corrupt politicians !!clown !!
Guatemala, Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Mexico, Honduras, Suriname and the United States are corrupt countries with human rights abuses with potential political violence, police brutality and war crimes in the Americas.
Thank you for sharing. My ignorance is gladly being informed. My brain boggles with the incredulous actions of the American govts over the years. I look forward to its decline.
This is so true, when US mess up their own back yard and the hen has come back to roost as a result of their actions. If S America has stable governments and decent economy, the migration would not happen and the world is at peace.
I don't think it is so much that they 'mess up' as they destroy the competition, to remain the cleanest dirty shirt in the basket. Living condition in US is going down, and imagine the embarrassment if the migrant flow where going the other way i.e. out of the US. That would make the failure of Empire obvious to the naked eye without much reflection.
Same with Mid East and Africa
Guatemala, Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Mexico, Honduras, Suriname and the United States are corrupt countries with human rights abuses with potential political violence, police brutality and war crimes in the Americas.
Please post this show with Spanish voice over too so that people in South American can understand it.
It's propaganda meant to convince US citizens that the Venezuelan criminals are our fault.
Have a good week-end? Only the entitled get to "play."
Now explain how US sanctions on Russia drastically improved their economy.
Thank you. A cynical person (such as I have been turned into by the actions of my own government over the past several decades) might believe that the bank won't transfer Venezuela's Gold to them because it has already been stolen by the banksters.
Wow! Very eye opening!!! Thank you!!!!
❤️💯🙏👍🤘👌👋
I don't understand why people are so awful towards immigrants
Well, ok, Anya, that describes the "push" aspect of this migration. But there's another aspect, a "pull" aspect, described in JJ Carroll's documentary "Treason", whereby this migration seems to be incredibly organised by the US government. You say families, but it seems to be mostly young men, many coming from China and the Middle East. I am sure you are a good journalist, but I'm having a problem putting 2 and 2 together.
Why would they come at a time when America economy is about to collapse and the environment is about to go in to civil conflicts and ww3 drafts
I've already ordered mine, hope to get it on 11.07.
I bought her book and got it yesterday
Love her work!!
👌
Immigrants(legal or illegal), Migrants(legal or illegal) & Refugees(real or fake) are three completely different things. Never conflate them.

Not TRIGGERED!. You should do more research
