It’s not just the desperate migrants from countries they actively destabilise. There is also a persistent campaign to “offer” immigration facilitation in developing countries who are doing fairly well, to extract its best and most educated citizens and vacuum them to the West. If you’re a citizen of a western country, you should know this, and wonder why your governments do this instead of economic planning to provide for your rights and career prospects at all levels of the workforce.

@durango8882 we have been working on this, crossing references and such. I would think that is because the men walk across and the families surrender to border patrol at check points. To be process and then released until court dates and eventual deportation, barring any major reason or connection (i.e. daughters and sons reunited and such).

    My personal note:
While the oil boom in my country brought many riches, it brought with it widespread corruption and inequality. Government after government centered our economy on the oil industry at the expense of the development of manufacturing and agriculture. As a result, people from the countryside moved to the big cities in search of job opportunities and live in slums.
I mention this because it’s important not to conclude that Venezuela‘s problems and the recent wave of immigrants are only or mainly the result of US embargoes and political interventions. Surely they made things worse but our culture of corruption, deeply rooted in Venezuela’s society and idiosyncrasy, well one that pushed many of us to leave for the United States and other countries since the mid-90s. Unsurprisingly, today we are at the top of the list of the most corrupt countries in the world, and under Chavez, we became one of the most violent countries in terms of criminality. It was bad enough for me even before he came into power anyway. Never in the 28 years that I lived in my home country from the late '60s until the '90s, did we have this wave of political prisoners, jailed journalists, and judges threatened by the government for doing the right thing. Maduro and his circle are no doves for peace either and that includes the ever-corrupt, freeloader members of the military and their involvement in political affairs. I could keep going and going, but I’ll leave it at that.

And still no mention of the Koch brothers' influence in what happened to Venezuela; the refineries that processed Venezuelan crude were owned by subsidiaries of Koch Industries. When Chavez wanted to raise the price of Venezuelan crude to be in line with global prices, the Koch Brothers used their influence in Washington to enact the sanctions, leading to the situation of today.

Like the 'Sputnik Shock' of the late 1950s that hastened national security policies to grant working class families access to public colleges (for middle management positions), the geopolitical context of mass immigration is a shift toward *a war economy* (though Venezuelan petrol is a valuable strategic objective in that context as well, the US is an oil producer itself, especially when prices are high enough to sustain shale extraction).
In order to fight a Russian Federation in Europe and a People's Republic of China in the Pacific in _simultaneous_ large scale military conflicts, the US would need a recruitment pool of around *_a billion people_* ...
It is the same with corporate intersectionalism: _'women, queers and people of colour to the front_ !'
[if women labour had remained banned as achieved in the late 19th century by the workers movement, wages for men could sustain marriage and the raising of offspring - according to Marxist Richard David Wolff - since normalizing woman's labour in two world wars, however - and the offshoring of production to China in order to undermine trade unions - a *demographic decline* among the remaining labour pool of _working poor singles_ threatens sustained military recruitment, forcing a lift on virtually all US immigration control]...
The same goes for the politics of the European Commission since 2015, advocating a laissez-faire influx of Syrian refugees while the CIA invades their country with Iraqi mercenary terrorists - and populations are thus polarized along these policies, in fact preparing the psychological conditions of _civil war_ - with Western chauvinists, feminists and queers rooting for Transatlantic global supremacy: a _liberal empire_ , and _traditionalists_ around the planet praying for the _total_ dismantlement of 'enlightened' Western civilization, liberal or socialist (leaving 'Chinese characteristics' as the only model of mere nationalism within multi-polar international affairs).
Once this current _world war_ escalates into it's thermo-nuclear phase, a return to the baseline of civilization: _feudalism_ will be the 'progress' that modernity has ultimately achieved (with WW II as a foreshadowing of barbarism)...

The United States government has imposed a cruel embargo on Cuba for more than 60 years and then blames the Cuban government for the economic crises. Despite this, Cuba has survived and continues to maintain free healthcare and education for all its citizens. Cuba also maintains its solidarity with the world by sending doctors to any country that requests them. The politically motivated inclusion of Cuba on the United States list of sponsors of terrorism has also limited the purchase of basic items such as food, medicine, fuel, etc. Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua are sister nations that know the criminal tactics of the United States.
