Hello @stitch16261, the section you are referring to will run from the freeway interchange with I-40 to existing I-74 as project U-2579AA. Construction is slated to begin next year.

How are they going to connect I 74 from High Point to the rest of I-74? and when will that be open?

yes it would go connect to Rural Hall. maybe finish by 2023 or 2024 probably.
