Being a mom is hard. It's a Neverending job. And yes we deserve breaks even though we hate to ask for them. Teenage years are confusing and hormonal. They're trying to figure themselves out, fit in, and some more stuff. As a mom of 2 girls I can honestly say that at 15yrs old they both started to mellow out. They were more open and honest. My oldest told me 1 day she was just tired of sneaking and lying. They were never really terrible kids it was always the smallest things. I'm here to encourage you and to let you know that it does get better. I'm glad you're seeking help for the both of you. You're an awesome mom. Give yourself some Grace. Being a mom is hard. It's a Neverending job. And yes we deserve breaks even though we hate to ask for them. Teenage years are confusing and hormonal. They're trying to figure themselves out, fit in, and some more stuff. As a mom of 2 girls I can honestly say that at 15yrs old they both started to mellow out. They were more open and honest. My oldest told me 1 day she was just tired of sneaking and lying. They were never really terrible kids it was always the smallest things. I'm here to encourage you and to let you know that it does get better. I'm glad you're seeking help for the both of you. You're an awesome mom. Give yourself some Grace. And, she can even be disrespectful at times. I do know teenagers go through things that can cause a change in their behavior. Stay encouraged because parenting doesn't come with a manual so as long as you are continuing to try, show up, and being the best version of yourself you get an A+ in my book....but sometimes being the best version of yourself requires you taking a break and filling up your cup so don't feel bad!
