I once had to do this one night cause I stayed in the club too long and missed the bus by seconds when I was in campus then once with my then boyfriend still on nighttime escapades he didn't believe how fast i was and that i made him catch up it was such a moment, I kept telling him I used to sprint in school he thought i was joking 😂

As a Melbourne resident, here is my explanation to clear up any confusion: To travel on public transport in Melbourne Australia, you need a MYKI card, which you pre-load with funds. Whenever you board a tram or train, you tap your MYKI on the machine (as seen in the video), which deducts the correct fare from your MYKI. The single exception to this rule is the “free tram zone”. If you are only travelling within this zone, you don’t even need to tap your MYKI on the machine since your ride is free. But if any part of your trip ventures outside the zone, legally you must tap your MYKI (i.e. pay the fare). I see why this video is confusing to people who don’t know how and why this system works.
