Whenever I watch Japanese crane games and American claw games I am just in awe of how high quality the prizes in Japanese claw games are. In America you’d win a toy that you spent more to win than it did to make. In Japan you could win an anime figurine that would typically be seventy dollars online.
Japan has really interesting crane games. I've only seen a few of the different ones where I live but most of the strange/complicated/interesting looking ones aren't available here to my knowledge. They look like fun to play and it's nice to know some tricks to winning some of them.

I absolutely love the mochi ice cream plushie! That’s my favorite snack for the summer here in JP. I’ve tried to win the Baymax plushie so many times with no luck. I’m really good with the box games with the rods.
When I was in Japan, I *LOVED* the crane games! Every time I went to a arcade and tried the crane games, I’d win at least one prize! It was so good, in the UK its really rare to win a prize and so uncommon, but in Japan its so good!! I hope to go back there soon 🇯🇵💗

Me too. I saw CDaawgVA play UFO catcher with Joey the anime man and with Chris from Abroad in Japan and now I'm hooked on UFO catchers and want to be good at them and win cool prizes. I want to hurry and go to Japan and go to the Sega arcade and Taito game center. 😩 I think this a very educational video for those who want to learn to be good at the claw machine and UFO catcher.
I love Minori's patience and perseverance. That's what makes me enjoy her getting these prizes, but if not, I would go to the store because I'm jealous of all the cool things she got. (The ones she deserved!)

I played one of the online available crane games for a while, I kept trying for figurines but had no luck haha Buuut I got a buruboo boo plushie once! Gifted it to my friend's child and she loved it since it is so soft :3 Crane games have some charm to them but they can be a real money drainer, just like gambling, I think a lot of people fall into that trap

It's fun to watch someone who actually knows how to play these types of crane games. But I know the frustrating feeling of knowing when to walk away. Although the machines with the bars are my favorite. The heavy plushes that require pushing and tugging are the ones that I struggle with the most. I actually have two My Melody bento boxes(not tiered) won from crane games in my collection(it's specifically a My Melody collection). Edit: 11:56 I just noticed the Nuts plush chilling with the PPG.
It made me so happy going to an arcade in Japan when I went to visit, because I was actually able to win prizes.. unlike in America where most of the games are rigged 🙄😪
Even knowing what I know about claw games, I love claw games still, granted in a more realistic adult approach nowadays. I so wish we had cool claw games like these in the States, they'd get more of my money that way :3 Also loved the idea you had to grab that snack bucket so you could hold the coins, I'm curious what the snacks were, they seemed neat :)
