Well, the music is set up so that through each phase every phase has its own theme, and when, let's say, you beat the first phase, the next phase starts and so does the music for said phase.

Speulcher and the Brothers have had a significant change, but Scal herself hasn't changed almost at all since this version. aside from the resprites, her AI remained almost identical. even the Brimstone Orbs recently got changed to be one big vortex. Wonder what's kept her the same all these years?

All the murder and genocide she committed, by herself and in Yharim's name, is really hard to overlook. And I'd only consider it because we don't get to befriend the Siren or the Brimstone Elemental(well, there is the Rose accessory that summons her, but...).

if you get hit by more than three or four of those flames in the very beginning of the fight, you're dead. even with max health, max armor, everything. death mode is absolutely brutal.

calamity has changed a lot, im not familiar with recent version though, but in my understanding of calamity you dont have much choice, for ervery class there is only one or two weapon thats effective, for armor and accesories, you just use those that combined a lot of items and crafted with late game material

I would recommend u auric Tesla set since it has lots of armor abilities. For accessories u need celestial tracers, the community, the sponge, core of blood god, affliction (optional), asgardian aegis, astrum arcanum, and depending on what class u play, equip one specific endgame accessory for that specific class and u should be set

This mod has no story as the only thing happening is that you defeat bosses, get stronger gear and move to more bosses. Also, what is the story in the lore? The only thing I get from it (I've read all of it) is "There was an evil guy and he did this and this and also this and he did that because he was evil oh and he also had a dragon and a witch slave because dragons and witches are cool I guess".
