@bryce909 - It wouldn't work on dead bolts (maybe it will destroy them and work) because lock cylinders are attached differently. There are 2 screws holding in the lock cylinders of deadbolts, not clips like in the nobs.
This does not destroy the cylinder. This forces the clips in a bit to release the cylinder. You are suppose to use a tool from the opposite end to release the cylinder. It does have the potential to damage the lock though. When it forces it out it scratches the insides where the clips rest to keep the cylinder retained. It is possible for it to be too warn to keep the cylinder in there. I've used a professional version of this tool about 5 times and haven't had a problem of it damaging it. I was told that it can damage it too much and I have noticed the insides were badly scratched each time I've used it.
Pretty sweet 👌 I was wondering if it works on deadbolts as well
Can you make a homemade core puller for deadbolts?

Am I assuming correctly that this destroys the cylinder, or can it be replaced afterwards?
