That 499 Bane is swole AF! 💪🏽😤
Amen! love those Nightfall Bane covers
The art on the Robin comics was out of this world. The joker was just so nicely done 😢 brought tears to my eyes.
Dude you're so right, and thanks!
Someday, I would love to hear more about your Robin collection
Sadly it's GONE - the whole thing had to be sold when I was broke last year. Every single issue from vol I, II, III, and 4 and even the complete Nightwing and red robin runs. all annuals all everything. some slabs. Sold it all for only $1,000.
Thanks James for original content
That's always my plan! thanks for noticing man!
Great haul, some of these are, as you said, really personal keys and just some great issues all around
Indeed, these are for the DC 90s kids!
Awesome! Childhood right there! Huge superman fan here! Nice to see some DC love
Same here! 90s supes is the best supes
I just scored off eBay a Green Lantern vol. 3 54 with the DC Universe logo; it has a Ron Marz sig on it, so sending it off to CBCS, pretty happy for a $10 purchase
That's one of my favs! Kyle's girlfriend gets SUPER dead in that issue
Super cool to watch you open Robin 1 1. I bought this when it came out...and never opened it.Still have it. But have been so tempted. Thankyou. For that.
Keep it locked up! Haha
"For the right person, that is a key"
Oh man thats such a mood
I recently got the one comic i wanted when i started collecting comics again, it was the Third Eye Comics exclusive of Regular Show #1. Its not crazy rare, but i spent months keeping my eyes peeled for posts about it
exactly. like showcase '94 issue 10 is one of my favorite comics but no one's ever heard of it. But to me it's gold
For real. It’s what collecting is about. My unicorn is New Mutants #18. Yes, I could easily buy one online but finding one in the wild would be much more satisfying.
Whenever James uploads its a good day! 😁
That is the highest tier if compliment possible haha, thanks my man!!
The awesomeness abounds! I loved your comment about how, to the right person, these were keys. There are various books from my youth that I've gotten excited about when I've found them in my LCS's back issues that other collectors would wince at anybody spending money on. Collect what you love and you'll always love the hobby. Another great video, my man!
Exactly. Like I care about Shadow of the bat 45 - NO ONE else even knows about books like that haha
I love finding those DC Universe logo variants, I even have an Animaniacs one, thanks for the info and your books are beautiful brother.
Glad you like them! such a cool little clip in history
So @#$% fun watching you open these time capsules. Good luck with the grades sir!
That's what they are too! total time capsules - so awesome
I have about 40 DCuniverse issues in my personal collection. They are amongst my favorites.
Hell yeah that's awesome! all in good shape?
@@MintHunterComics About 25% of them in not the greatest shape.
Fun video. I really like the "opening" portion to see what you got. Great job. Keep one of those wedding albums for me. lol.
Thank you! Will do! One of them needs a small cleaning but that ain't no thing. Both should easily get the 9.8!
The two face had a beautiful cover to AHH
Oh Indeed
"The 90's were good to Superman except when they killed him". 🤣🤣🤣🤣
i love these unboxing videos
I'm glad you think so!
Seeing all these 90's books are nostalgic for me. I remember collecting the majority of what you unboxed. Awesome hook ups and finds from the community.
Hell yeah - I LOVE this community man
Nice! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Cheeze!
The GL box was awesome. I have the Robin II run And some of mine are autographed. Brings back so many memories. I'll have to look into finding some of these myself. Awesome show. 🤟
Oh wow - those are nice books to get autographed - lemme if you find any in the wild!
That was a cool video. Your content has been awesome recently!
That's the goal! Thanks for noticing!
Dude you came in clutch tonight thought I was about to sleep with a heart ache
Hahaha - what time zone are ya?
I'm from the Philippines man it's like 12 in the morning here but it's worth it staying up late to watch your vids man! Much love!
Man those are really cool. Making me wanna try and find some of those lol
Good luck! they're tough to find unopened!
Another 🔥 vid buddy! You and me with people packaging terribly, I mean how hard can it be.
Dude its so bad, I should make a sarcastic video about how to pack comics like a moron
“For the right person, it’s a key”
I feel that, my favorite childhood comic was Infinity Inc issue 43. I’ve been looking for a 9.8 forever now
Believe me, you didn't miss anything with that Damage Comic
Hahahaha - no good? lol
@@MintHunterComics I wouldn't bet my mortgage on it, lol
Cool Wonder Woman 90. It's Prime Time! Some day I'll get around to Zero Hour, my to read list is extremely ambitious. King Shark is a shark! Those Robin and Kyle covers are soo good!
Isn't that first Artemis gorgeous??!?
@@MintHunterComics I have some higher quality Artemis: Requiem comics on the way, eventually I plan on getting many more of her classic stories.
Awesome time this video haul.
Great video, thank you. I have a Green Lantern #48-50 (Emerald Twilight) three-pack with the DCU logo, still sealed. Some other loose issues as well. I can't recall which pack had my Action #700 -- I think it came from Toys R Us. Anyway, I had some luck with Half Price Books a couple of years back, they had a very nice loose copy of SM/Doomsday: Hunter Prey #3 with DCU on the back cover, just $1.50. Good luck everyone in your search, these do turn up at times.
For me personally the best places to find them are music/record shops that sell books and used book stores. I usually find stacks of them for $1 each. That's how I filled a short box of dcu's
Half Price Books is worth a look, if you have one in your area.
What is the exact name of these packs? Maybe I keep missing it, idk, but I tried looking on ebay and Craigslist for the knightfall collection. I see the two packs. Im not so interested in trying to find the rare prints as the box sets themselves. I found a reign of Superman in a collection I bought but I'm a Batman collector and would love to get my hands on these Knightfall boxsets. Just need to know the right words for the search. Another awesome video!
Type in "DC Collector Sets" but be careful of the ones not in any cardboard as they tend to never have the DC Universe logo - always get ones that have the cardboard covers
Great vid man! Congrats on 5k subs, you deserve it! best comic videos on yt
Damn man thank you! you've been a very active follower so thank you for commenting so frequently!
@@MintHunterComics Np man, im just happy to support such a great channel!
Your at 5,000 so excited for the give away!!!
I've been trying to contact the winner for days! he's gone dark on me! hahaha
@@MintHunterComics 😂hopefully he responds
Thanks for doing this video! I'm a Marvel guy, so I had no idea about the DC Universe logo. I just checked my copy of Superman 18 that I bought at a thrift store a couple years ago...and it's a DC Universe logo! Not high grade, needs a press, but that's still super cool! Keep up the good work making your videos, man!
These are fun videos, just because the idea that these books haven't been touched in around 30 years.
Hell yeah! they're like time capsules!
As someone who has been hunting these logos for awhile now a lot of these are actually pretty common. Especially the #1's and most of the Aquaman's, Robin's, Superboy's and Supergirl's. But the rarest of the DC Universe logos are easily the most hard to find comics ever made. Not sure if you've already seen it but CBSI did a pretty good write up on them a couple of years ago. It has gaps and isn't conclusive but it's worth checking out of you haven't.
Indeed indeed - I still wouldn't say they're "common" by any means but I do notice that when I do find them. -yes they tend to be Aqua, and Robin as well as Superboy. I like looking for the green lantern ones personally
I want some of these so bad!!
Maybe I'll sell em once they get back from CGC!
Haha I just finished watching now haha you have a whole bunch. Those are rare
Based on the last video I looked for one of the sets. I was able to purchase the set that has the first appearance of Doomsday. Still waiting on it to arrive in the mail.
Bro that's AWESOME! Hoping yours is in great condition! let's hope it's the rare 5th print as well!
@@MintHunterComics thanks man. I hope I get the good stuff too. It’s supposed to be here Thursday. I’ll let you know.
I GOT IT!!! DC universe logo and Roman numeral V!!! It does need a press but it can definitely make a 9.8 after. Thanks for the video without it I doubt I would have found this.
90s Superman rocks !!!!
Don't discount the bat logo, zero hour logo, or DC Bullet logos in the UPC box...those are just as good as the DC Universe logo.
I gotta do some research on those, im assuming they're special
@@MintHunterComics Any info you can share about those other variants is appreciated. Came across a bunch of the DC Bullet logos in my collection recently, alongside other DC Universe logos. Thanks!
From all the times I heard you say "I'll be sending this one out" in this video I just wanted to take this time and pray for your wallet
I have to wait at least a few months before I move these - I need CGC to already give me my books back so I can afford future submissions!
I feel so special
xoxoxoxo
I so need the contagion packs
Apparently those were pretty rare -
I can't wait to see the perfect grades they'll fetch!
Those are some awesome Knightfall sets. Where did you find something like that? I found that I had a few DC logo variant comics in my collection after watching this video. As always, great content man. Keep it coming!
The one from last week's video I bought, and the one I opened for this video I also bought - but a fan actually gave me another (third) set which I am not planning on opening! so crazy because they're so hard to find and I've now had three haha
Today my wife found us two unopened packs and several reader copies with the DC Universe.
Huh, didn't know 497 with the half cover thing was rare. I bought a set someone had on eBay for the whole knightfall collection and it had that. Might have to check it out
They all have the half cover, the third print has slightly different color lettering
@@MintHunterComics huh. I'll have to check that out. Cool
@@MintHunterComics The newsstand 497 did not have the extra cover (actually sort of a 1.5 out of 2 size cover on the Directs).
Some sweet issues in those!
Man wish i have a dc universe logo hahaha
I'll sell em to ya once they get back from grading!
Nice video keep it up
Thanks Nomack!
That Robin 0 is underrated to me. 1st time nightwing is Batman.
Oh indeed
Yes, the covers back then are much better quality then today's. I hate that the covers now are so thin and wavey, not to mention what I call "spine peal" where the paper is literally pealing off at the cover fold at Staples. And believe it or not cgc will still give them a 9.8 if nothing else is wrong with it.
Very cool video and one heck of a haul. So, are any of issues in those boxes first prints or are they all second and third prints?
Mostly first, but some nice 2 and 3 prints (and thats where the rarity is at!)
I got a green lantern#51 first Kyle in costume with the DC logo.
Watching this a year later. So I am going through a bunch of $1 I bought in the dollar bin a few months ago and I have a few of the rare logos. That’s exciting :)
That's super exciting! Nice haul!
Man I don't think I've stepped in a toys r us for comics back then, coulda woulda shoulda🤷♂️
superman adv 1 had it logo on the back
I musta missed that! Ayyyy!!
I always wondered what was with the DC Universe label.
If your still looking for DC logo variants I have Green Lantern #51, steel #1 and superboy#5(I think is the issue not home to check)
I may just be! but primarily extremely high grade 9.8 candidates only
@@MintHunterComics yea probably not 9.8s... I noticed ya only look for 9.8 candidates as I watched more of the video haha but great content man I quickly subscribed!!!
I looked into my collection, and I realized that I have a couple of the DC Universe Logo variants.
Nice Travis!
I’ve been searching for these things... can’t find.
They're tough to find! Took a long time
i came acorrs that same superman adventures 1, guess we can call it second print since it has no upc. did cgc add notes on the label or grade it as regular
What if the DC UNIVERSE logo is on the top right of a comic is that also a DC UNIVERSE logo that's worth holding or collecting
It can be, unless it's from the "Zero hour" arc
Seen quite a handful on facebook
No $%&^ really? send me a link! haha
@@MintHunterComics ok, let me find the link
@@MintHunterComics facebook.com/marketplace/item/312462990464380/
@@rubixcubecomics420 Ah so those are collectors sets but you need the toys r us and Walmart ones that came in cardboard - these won't have the DC universe logos
@@MintHunterComics ah. Ok then. Good to know
Have you hunted for any Zero Hour variant logos? I have a few of them, harder to find I think.
I think I have one of the rarest if not rarest DC books of all time. It’s Batman Adventures 26 with the bat logo in the upc. I couldn’t find one other listing or even a reference to it anywhere. Is this worth something, has anyone ever seen one?
That was part of these packs - I've seen those before
Are you sure those trading cards aren't worth money?
Acrually I'm not sure, I'm holding on to em just in case
@@MintHunterComicsTrading cards from the '90's have the potential to help finance your collection vastly, there's been some GemMint 10.0's Marvel cards put up on ebay for $100,000 this year.
Even if your cards are only worth a few hundred-a few thou$and.....that would be sweet.
I know several of the Marvel value packs from Toys'R'Us had trading cards(don't know which ones?) but it was news to me they also added cards to the DC Universe packs.
*$10,000-$100,000
FOUND. THE DC LOGO ON ALL OF THE. O HOUR BOOKS
I have some!!!! I got them at toys r us!!! 25 years ago, Help lol I have atleast 30 of them 😅
Message me on Instagram! Hahaha

I’m going to meet someone today with many of those dc variant covers . multiple copies. Batman’s Superman. First Parallax. Like over 50 comics . Do you think I should take them all?
YES.
@@MintHunterComics got like 7 copies of flash 92 the first appearance of impulse upc label like over 60 comics of upcs and the JCPenney variants
Comics tom just put out a video on this..
Sweet!
Where are you finding these?
5 of these were gifts from FANS!
@@MintHunterComics for the most part, the comic collecting community is a great community.
@@roywatson7916 98 percent of the time this is the best extended family there is!
first lot from ebay are terrible packing!
Is it just me or do you bag and board incorrectly?
No - I bag and board with the upper lip in the back instead of the front because it is easier for CGC to take the books out without having to remove tape or flip the lip forward. this is how a submitter bags and boards haha! also no tape ever. never tape lol
@@MintHunterComics lol had a feeling it would have something to do with CGC
Zero Hour box are more rare than the DCU logo.
That is not accurate
Oh I thought they would've been since zero hour was so short as compared to the years they made DCU logos. I know in the DCU logo variants there some beyond rare and some that are thought to be out there but as of yet unconfirmed.
