Shark Fishing off the Rocks in South Africa 🇿🇦

- In this episode of This is Africa Outdoors we try our luck at catching sharks off the Eastern Capes's beautiful coastline. The goal was to catch a ragged tooth shark of over 50 kg. It was a tough day but persistence pays off!
Closest to some sort of biltong now is shark biltong.
But I'm not so sure about adding coriander as spice....
Maybe turmeric. Ginger. Garlic. Carnip ................
Will have to try it one day!

yes those Grays can certainly stretch a line, and at the price of Braid nowadays it's very unpleasant when they smoke you

Hi Winston! Thanks for the comment as usual 😊 the reason I don’t mention the exact spot is because I don’t want to attack too much fishing pressure to these more remote areas, also I’ve got in the bad books with the locals for showing locations, so I’m not going to be doing that again 🤣. Yes I would hate to get spooled by a bigger shark, would be very expensive 🤣.
You don't have to tell me naming a spot down here on the south coast can get you hung that's not what I meant I wanted to know if you still in East London or if you are fishing in another town South Africa

those 'school' or 'tope' sharks you have down there are 'soupfin' sharks here.. we have bigger soupfin than the school sharks you have there or the tope they have in the UK.. come here late fall through spring to SoCalifornia and I will get you onto some fatties.. lol

It would be nice to know what part of sa coast you are fishing from not... your location... be more information and histry and educational.....like why is it so secretive west .north nearest town ????????
