I don’t believe anyone “LOVES” to work. I think the best practical advice I heard when it comes to choosing a career is “find something you somewhat enjoy doing & don’t mind the monotony of the job at hand; and is in range of the income to work ratio you can tolerate”

Totally get what you’re saying, but I love my job, dreamed of it since I was a little kid. It’s not who I am, but it certainly is a big part of what I enjoy!

The best advice i’ve had is to look for a balance between what you like (interests), what you’re good at (aptitude), what pays well and what the world needs

When Ali talked about content creation being the "hamster wheel", what I also thought about was academic science and medicine.
That is, doing more and more papers, presentations, and attending colloquia for the sake of your university or institution. The administration coming down on you. "Okay, that's great you did 5 papers this year. Can you do a sixth?" Like some sort of auctioneer of research. The worst part about it is that many of the papers, like some daily creators, can just be scientific rubbish. A grind that does not end nor wants it to end. And thus, not creating enough quality in the presentation and creating more atmosphere for burnout.

Before watching the video, here's my speculation:
At some point once they're making hundreds of thousands of dollars or more per year, it's very easy to put a large amount of that into investments and then never have to do any type of work again.
My wife and I live off less than 100k/year right now. I've done the math, we could retire with a bit more than a million dollars (probably need more than that for real with this bullshit inflation).
There are RUclipsrs breaking down how much they make, some make millions. It's really not far fetched to think they could just put millions away for a while then do fuck all for the rest of their lives.

too bad everything is an act of balance and Yin and Yang even my mom's 4 cats are - cutesy fluff balls of happiness but energetic fluff balls create lots of furniture damage and fur is everywhere. Same with raising kids - rewarding because it's challenging. Same with stress levels if something is not stressful enough it is not engaging etc. Same with character traits someone's nice but can be too flaccid. Creative jobs? great outlet for ideas but what if u don't have any atm? idk if I make sense lol I am so high on my orange multivitamin.
