And this was with the fact that they were already in conflict with other Republic forces in other solar systems. It was only because of the members who wanted to draw out the suffering did they retreat. They could have massacred them then and there. The mere fact that they did this without resorting to the methods Palpatine used shows their sheer power and strategic intelligence.

Like come on, The Sith empire completely demolished the old republic but was defeated by a small resistance and a handful of jedi. The Empire did the same thing, demolished the Jedi Order and was somehow defeated by a group of rebels with a handful of Jedi. But what I liked about the old republic is the absence of the superweapons that can destroy worlds in a blink of an eye, only pure massive naval battles, armies of Jedi and Sith clashing, Generals outsmarting each other, countless planets became massive trench systems as both equal armies fight in and no clear results are shown. I mean the original trilogy is good, but I sometimes like wars where both sides are as good as each other making each battle unpredictable, close, and intense. The original trilogy did come to that point too, when New Republic had to face the imperial remnants which sadly only happened in Legends. No offense to disney but Legends made more sense in almost anything, especially in battles, tactics, and characters.
goku Medina Lord of the Rings was live action. A 3D rendered movie takes longer and is more expensive. The people who animated the trailers (Blur Studio) have a small team as well and they lack the equipment to make a full fledged movie or even short film

This time it happened because most of the Jedi and the military were off at a peace summit with the leaders of the Sith when Malgus attacked so they were severely understaffed and most of the powerful Jedi were not there. In the Prequels it was the Clones, the Jedi had been fighting with them for years at that point so of course they didn't expect them to start shooting at them.
play the game then, it is actually an amazing experience with 8 fully voiced and animated class stories which are honestly better than ANY Star Wars movie, each planet has it's own planetary arc and shitload of side quests, heroic quests, all fully voiced and animated. After you are done with the base stories, you move on to Dread Masters stories, Rise of the Hutt Cartel, Shadow of Revan and the Knights of the... Expansions, which are really good despite what people may say. Plus, most of the game can be played for free!

i've been playing this game on and off for years. There are 8 separate stories for each class up to about level 52 then you get into the expansions. they stories are amazing and are completely voice acted. graphics and gameplay are pretty much just like WOW.
the planets get painfully repetitive though. Ive loved the story so far (ive finished Knight, Consular and Warrior; Almost Smuggler) but damn i am sick of Alderaan and Nar Shaddaa

A lot of people felt that KOTFE AND KOTET went off the rails and that it didn't feel Star Wars. It's like they don't realize that Star Wars can be Star Wars without Sith, Jedi, Republic, and Empires. The galaxy is a much larger place than what we're allowed to see in the games, books, and movies. Plus, anything that can expand lore and freshen up the themes of its world building is much appreciated...
This was the first trailer they released for the game and the moment I saw it I was hooked. Even now every couple of months I will go back and play through one of the storylines.

Secondly, the trailers tell a story in sequence where Malgus is an apprentice (in "Return,") gets horribly injured fighting on Alderan (in "Hope,") and is now a Sith Lord wearing life support gear due to his injuries (in "Deceived.") The events pictured in, "Deceived," don't start the war between the Old Republic and the Sith Empire, they end it. The attack on the Jedi Temple on Coruscant proves to the Republic that continuing to fight the war is a losing scenario, and they negotiate a truce. That agreement then leads to a sort of Cold War situation. The game itself takes place about 20 or 30 years after the truce, with many of the characters from the trailers appearing much older and now in senior positions within their respective factions.

I still play this game. Fair warning, it's story driven. Playing a class story is like watching an interactive 8 season Star Wars TV series...and there are 4 classes for each side.

One of the coolest bits (in my opinion) is that you can be a light side Sith or a dark side Jedi. The Sith Warrior has a story arc where, if you're light side, you frustrate a Jedi Master into turning to the dark side by being too nice. I do also like how they show the Sith Warrior getting Vette to safety when things get hairy.

The Jedi Malgus killed at the end was Battlemaster Ven Zallow, in charge of temple security.
Finally a channel that loves the Sith as much as I do. Every time I watch a reaction to SWTOR cinematics they are always crying around when the jedi die, while I get all giddy and hop around clapping. Awesome, new subber for sure.

this is the best one of the 3 in my opinion. this is what is referred to in game as the "the sacking of coruscant", what the empire did right after the treaty was signed. you can do that on a Sith Juggernaut in game by the way, throw you lightsaber and force push something away.
YEP! The Bounty Hunter's a Mandalorian named Shae Vizla, a very cool character that we get to meet and work with in the Bounty Hunter Class Story. I actually have her as a companion, but sadly, isn't openly available for recruitment. The ability to recruit her was locked behind an event in Knights Of The Fallen Empire.
This is still the greatest lightsaber fight in Star Wars content history Clone Wars and the Prequels are the only ones who have gotten close in the movies

I remember watching this trailer on G4TVs E3 coverage when it first came out and it literally built so much hype for this game. Everyone was shocked at the end of it. Such a crazy time. Never got into it bc mmorpgs aren’t my thing but the trailers are a masterclass. Way ahead of their time

this is the best one of the 3 in my opinion. this is what is referred to in game as the "the sacking of coruscant", what the empire did right after the treaty was signed. you can do that on a Sith Juggernaut in game by the way, throw you lightsaber and force push something away.
YEP! The Bounty Hunter's a Mandalorian named Shae Vizla, a very cool character that we get to meet and work with in the Bounty Hunter Class Story. I actually have her as a companion, but sadly, isn't openly available for recruitment. The ability to recruit her was locked behind an event in Knights Of The Fallen Empire.

What I love about the temple in the game is after the sacking if you play as Republic character you discover, not only did the sith destroy the temple they also left a company of stealth troopers in side it to fuck with the republic
