I agree. Cagayan she was painfully ignorant GC she was boring af and WaW she basically was Amanda 2.0 and played with someone who for sure was gonna beat her in the end
Oh how I haaaated this tribal. It was literally infuriating to listen to Sarah act as if she's been valiantly fighting for women's rights her whole life 🥴 people didn't dislike her because she was a woman, they didn't like her because she sucks as a human 💀
I really dont like Sarah, shes a massive hypocrite. She constantly talks about how Tony betrayed their alliance in Cagayan yet theres footage of her talking about voting Tony off. She would've done the same thing in his position so i dont see why she acts like a victim.
Yeah like i was confused when Sarah brought up Tony "betraying" her in Cagayan despite the Cops R us alliance like... Weren't you both part of opposing alliances?
worst of all she is a huge MAGA Trump supporter, yet claims to be a hardcore feminist, and complains about bias against women!?!? The two together are not impossible. If you support Trump fine, but atleast don't look like a hypocritical idiot.
It's hard to determine intentions with Sarah's WaW speech about bias in the game towards women. Her statements are absolutely true, though I think Kass talking about it with Tony in Cagayan was more apt to the scenario she was in and had a greater impact to the viewer. It's hard to not feel like Jeff leans in to these types of talks at tribals as of late; it's hard to tell if it's genuine, related to his guilt for being prejudiced against certain types of players in the past, or just convenient. At any rate, I really do think Survivor has a history of baseline misogyny and unwelcome attitudes to poc and those who identify as anything but a cis white American. I think it's a good thing to have diversity. When these issues are talked about every single week it feels both self-congratulatory and an attempt to dissolve any social issues or biases with orchestrated monologues rather than organically in the game.
Very well put together. The "new" Jeff and CBS is purely for public relations and profits. Survivor is a show and money is ALWAYS the businesses goal, dont get fooled people.
Her statement is completely false lol, the most hated contestants for being liars are literally all cis white men. This anti white male propaganda on survivor is a joke and insulting to every real victim of racism/discrimination. Which you clearly are not.
I am laughing like an idiot for like 3 minutes at this. I get what he is trying to say, more cynical people cannot empathize until you ask them to imagine their loved ones being the ones that are wronged, but it still is hilarious to read it this. :))
@A Nigerian ninja I think Sarah was going to vote off Tony at 5 but he won immunity so I think she would've voted him out because he was the last jury threat
This is perfect. Saw a similar video of the clip where Jeff swears off saying "guys" and then says it about 30 times in season 41 lol. What a bunch of ridiculous posturing
this is pretty much total speculation but i 100% believe the whole not saying "guys" was jeff's idea to make the show seem more progressive but production coaxed ricard into bringing it up in case there was backlash (which there was) so the backlash wouldn't all be on jeff. like it's just the most performative thing ever especially since he keeps saying it lol
Her and J’Tia might be the only ones still to come off clean from that tribe. Kass of all people. Maybe David Samson bc he was such a good sport about being voted off.
Uh Danielle threatened to sue CBS after they almost let Amanda keep the reward advantage, so I understand his frustration with her, but Courtney did not deserve any of that. But Jeff has grown as a person and would never do that today.
I was cringing so fucking hard during the tribal with Kellee, because EARLIER THAT DAY all the women were together on the beach and the idea of an all women's alliance was brought up as a possibility. Then later that night they all act like it's the most offensive and unreasonable thing in the world for a man to consider the possibility...
I really would love to see all three of them play again! Especially the girls. the way Kelle was treated was disgusting and I hated seeing how Janet was treated as well.
1:34 Ben isn't being hypocritical here, he's right about Chrissy. Chrissy wanted and expected everyone to make decisions based on her will. Every time someone else didn't vote with Chrissy, Chrissy was an unnecessarily a prick about it that implied that other people can't play the game as they see fit.
Similar to Sarah, if he was genuine and actually knew wtf he was talking about, then he would actually own up to his previous misdeeds and say specific times where he had the bias but alas
Kass is eighth especially because at the time of 2014 the huge anti-feminism/incel movement started to gain traction and the comments she got was pretty disgusting. Meanwhile a lot of rude and sexist comments spencer made (specifically the playing with her estrogen) then were made out to be so funny by the fanboys, Kass made one comment about how college age men act like beasts and she was annihilated. I find it funny the amount of love someone like spencer gets when I think he has just as poor of social skills (second chances shows this) as her at times vs Kass. She makes a great point, yeah Kass can be a bit mean and lack self awareness but there is some truth to her point.
She made a similar disparaging comment to Spencer about guys, its literally 1:1 and later in Ponderosa said the it was sexism that didn't get her game recognized, lol, the delusion and hypocrisy in playing the sexism card after making sexist remarks. She was toxic as fuck with zero social game and kept backstabbing people. She was delusional to think she ever had a chance, Woo would have swooped her in FTC, thats how disliked she was by everyone on the jury. They didn't even talk with her when she was eliminated, everyone was ignoring her and I can guarantee you it had nothing to do with what was between her legs. But its up to par for other toxic accountability adverse people to pick her as their girl boss champion, I guess. I also find it funny the amount of love someone like Kass seems to get, see how it is? People can like what they like and find funny what they find funny, its only one that gets to play the victim card and its seen as brave and worthy of applause by society by acting like the victim and spoiler alert, its not Spencer.
I'm not sure I find it hypocritical. I know Sarah had her own biases in the past, but I feel like the reason she brought it up during Winners at War was because she had grown as a person in the years since she first played, and she realized those biases were wrong, not because she's a hypocrite :P
Personally I find it incredibly irritating cuz literally the entire game she's basically playing with Tony and is totally fine with going to the end with him even tho it's obvious af that he's gonna beat her and then when things don't go her way when Natalie tells her the Jury consensus from EoE she pulls a half hearted sjw speech and it leaves such a sour taste in my mouth.
If that's the case, I think it would have been great if she acknowledged her own biases in the past. It may be the way it was presented in the edit, but the episode makes it look like this is her putting down other people with these biases (likely in order to boost her chances of beating Tony in the end), rather than acknowledging her own biases and newfound growth.
@@eagerturtle4791 I haven't watched the episode in a while, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's how it was presented. I think it's just a tricky subject because I agree with Sarah's premise, but I certainly don't believe she deserved to win Winners At War. I still think she likely intended to point out bias in everyone, including herself, but I can see a world where she ignores her own biases based on arrogance. :P will have to rewatch to fully affirm my feelings on the matter

She hasn't changed shit, LOL! She is a huge Trump supporter and wore a MAGA hat at Ponderosa, AFTER this speech. This speech was full of shit and in no way conforms to any of her true beliefs. It was simply desperation since she was told Tony had the edge on her in a jury vote, and she wasn't willing to betray Tony due to their friendship.
Sarah got blindsided by Tony on Sophie vote out, got handed a resume by Ben, refused to split the votes at 6 like an idiot… arguably the most overrated player of the season
Also girls: "Shouldn't we be looking for idols or doing anything of value instead of sitting in the water?" "Nahhh let Tony do everything and say its sexism!"
I don’t agree with all the Tony examples. To ignore the possibility of a women’s alliance simply because it sounds sexist is silly and just wrong. Women’s alliances are a thing to worry about in the game of survivor and is a legitimate thing to watch out for just the same as men’s alliances. I’m sorry but I’m not going to simply disregard it because it might be considered sexist when $1 million is on the line.
Being honest and speaking facts turning into false and blind ass kissing isn’t a positive change lol it’s just a bunch of people being fake around each other. People just need to grow up and learn to take criticism without making it seem like someone is being biased towards them. That goes for both men and women. All genders are equal, doesn’t matter what you identify with. It’s about you as an individual and how you behave. But of course the actions of others like you can have an influence on others’ perceptions of you. That’s how everyone’s personalities are created lol. It’s all based on past experiences. And it’s also up to you to learn to perceive others based on how they behave and not how others did. It’s kinda complicated but it’s also pretty simple at the same time depending on how open or closed minded you are. Idc either way I just wanna see people playing great games and putting on a great show without having to hear any whining or complaining from anybody (men or women) about fair or unfair.
I mean Kass got an incredible amount of hate from basically everybody that season for trying to make moves. Idk if it’s because she’s a woman or not, but it makes sense that she’d think that.
Wait.. didn't Jeff say that if you looked back at everything he's said over years, surely you'd find some things wrong..? Lol that's literally the opposite of being a hypocrite. Did I misunderstand what he said?
Almost 7 years is the gap from where Sarah first played in Cagayan vs her speech in WaW. A lot can happen in 7 years which includes self reflection and giving more thought to things especially since you won a million dollars, it gives you more avenues to think outside what you really are. That aside, I still cringed lmao but the benefit of doubt is still there that hey, maybe she did change her thinking loool.
2:16 I have to be honest with you all, I'm not crazy about Kellee. She was the hero in the season, and she did do the right thing by standing up against Dan, but Janet and Jamal were also heroes and I preferred them by quite a bit. Has she seen Micronesia? All girls alliances were a thing and there's no reason to conclude that it couldn't happen again. Just because society is shifting doesn't mean there's no chance people won't temporarily choose to go back to the old way of doing things. I really respect her for speaking out against Dan, but I have to be honest, I think living on an island with her for 39 days would borderline intolerable. Janet and Jamal no issue whatsoever.
2:32-2:39 "The amount of fear that there's a women's alliance, outpaces the times that there's been a women's alliance". So you're still acknowledging they have existed though? That's like saying the amount of fear get paranoid about car crashes outpaces the number of times there are accidents...If Tony and Woo don't recognize the women's alliance might happen they probably don't get to the end of that game.
Sarah had changed after playing and seeing herself the first time. She criticized Tony for swearing on his badge, then played like him and game changers. She also became friends with Lass. Tony and Sarah were also enemies that became friends. Ben had a contentious relationship with Krissy in HHH, but he had very close friendships with Sophie, Sarah, and Denise in WaW. If the clips had been flash forwards instead of flashbacks, I’d say it was hypocritical, but as it stands, it looks like growth: often the reason that people play: aside from winning. But maybe the title is sarcasm like many other videos of yours. One instance of gender bias from Probst was from the MvG reunion when he criticized Figgy for having a showmance, but talked about how beautiful it was that Taylor had a new baby instead of criticizing him for getting a girl pregnant then having a showmance. One of the most hypocritical players ever: JT Thomas. He said never ever ever trust a woman when he was voted out of HvV. Um which woman did he trust? Sandra when she warned then about Russell? Cirie when he voted her out? Amanda when she didn’t want him to give away the idol? Candace when she showed a brain and he stirred up paranoia for her? In Tocancins, he worked with nerdy and not Uber macho Stephen, Taj- a woman, and Erin-a woman. He over cam a 2-1 numbers disadvantage and won by working with a nerdy city boy and two women. HvV he calls himself, Tom, Colby and James the good guys and gets beguiled by Uber macho southern guy Russell and screws up the games of all the heroes with his bias. Game Changers, he’s beguiled by Uber macho Southern guy Brad Culpepper and screws up Malcolm’s game. And Apparently he told people not to trust Cirie when he was the one that betrayed her. Ozzy actually worked with Cirie in Gamechangers and she had voted him out in Micronesia. There’s some hypocrisy. JT had the opposite of growth in his seasons.
@G R his working with the Uber macho guys alone would not have been a problem, but the fact that it blew up his game as well as the games of his Allies and he blamed women that he never actually trusted in the first place and the fact that he was the one to betray Cirie in HvV and told people not to trust her in Game Changers while he himself had been sketchy AF both of his previous seasons shows that he’s a chauvinist with his head up his own butt loving the smell of his own farts. Did you miss the part where I talked about Tony and Ben showing growth or did you just focus on the one sentence about JT?
There IS a bias, especially coming from Jeff, but this is such a wrong time. I think Sarah's Game Changers game was great, but Tony is the GOAT. Sometimes the best wins, if it's a man or a woman.
I don’t think Sarah was being hypocritical, per say. I think she has just changed as a person and grown as a Survivor player. I mean she had to right. I mean her first time around she was the merge boot, and then the second time around she won, and third time she made it to day 38 where if she made it to the end she probably would have won. Would it have been better if she maybe quoted on her words previously, probably and maybe made a public apology to Kass, but season 28 and season 40 are filmed many years apart, and a person can grow a lot in that time.
While it is easy to pull these clips out of context, we do have to remember that most of these people played for the first time over a decade before hand, in a very different social landscape. Sarah in specific in just her 2nd season talked about how the first time she played was like a cop. With integrity, honesty, and respect. And it got her nowhere. All of her old confessionals are extremely hypocritical *because* she learned how to play the game and grew as a person. And everyone there have clearly grown as players and as people. If being better than you were makes you a hypocrite, everyone should be one. It is okay to grow and evolve as a person, especially if it's correcting years of bad behavior.
I hate the argument "we have sisters, we have mothers, think of them and know that women are capable!" Maybe just respect women, regardless of whether or not you have a sister??
imo the most hypocritical FTC was the Phillippines. those people were SO bitter and didnt really have any real reason to be. very few of them were even betrayed or blindsided in the first place. furthermore pete/abi/artis had all gone out of their way after the merge to be antagonistic to the minority alliance that eventually went on to beat them fair and square. malcolm was literally mad at denise for convincing skupin to take her over him like she was supposed to accept defeat and not try to win
I just hate it when some women uses sexism as a way to navigate themselves from being seen as a horrible person. Kass is a horrible person and not just because she's playing a game. I don't think even Russell was as rude as her and Russell is consistently ranked among the most evil players ever. Meanwhile where is Kass right now? No one even remembers her anymore, while Russell is still hated to this day. She got away with being evil much more easier than Russell did and yet here she is playing the victim role. The majority of women aren't like that, but a pretty big percentage of them are. If you did something that wasn't nice. Own up to your faults. Its a game, tell people you did what you have to do, move on and if in the process you did something terrible, apologize. There is no need to play the victim card.
She voted for Trump and wore a MAGA hat to the final dinner at Ponderosa in Game Changers. Not sure how that aligns with her growth and her women's empowerment speech
@@MP-ef9yo Damn people are so obsessed with other peoples’ political views, it’s crazy. You do realize you can support Trump and be empowered as a woman, right? Or does your own political opinions cloud your judgement? It amazes me how much some fans despise contestants for their political beliefs. Some of my favorites are on the opposite spectrum of me and that’s fine.
Umm… I didn’t get all the way through this video, but is it *possible* that a person can say one thing and years later realize that their opinion was kind of shitty? I guess I keep forgetting that once you say one thing on camera, you have to commit to said idea until the day you die. Heaven forbid someone has a change of heart on anything or evolve as a human. I also say this as someone who never had Sarah amongst my favorites, but respect the hell out of her effectiveness as a player. I guess some viewers were expecting a formal apology to Kass during this TC for her words to have any merit/sincerity.
Oh please, your points would be correct overall as a general rule, but lets be real Sarah is one of the most self serving, hypocritical humans alive, and anyone who is familiar with her at all knows the last thing she would ever be is some pro woman feminist. And knows she was only serving up that argument in desperation, since she was told Tony had the edge on her in a jury vote, otherwise such a thing would never have come up. Which is fine, it is strategy, but lets also be real. And she can be a great Survivor player, and all that still be true.
While what Kass and Sarah are saying is correct, I don’t think it applies to them specifically. Kass’ game in Cagayan was cutthroat but unlike Tony, she had no social game at all. Tony was crazy and blunt too but he still had his close personal connections like with Woo and Trish. Kass didn’t try to make anyone like her, I mean she flipped off a juror on their way out at final 5. That shows immaturity and unnecessary pettiness in front of the entire rest of the jury, no matter what gender you are that’s an absolutely stupid move that displays your appalling lack of social awareness. If you want a real, hard hitting case of sexism in Survivor brutally affecting a well meaning female contestant, the best example you will find is Jerri Manthey and Colby Donaldson. Despite every other confessional from Colby being him shit talking and disrespecting everything about Jerris character, and despite every Jerri confessional being respectful towards Colby until he eventually backstabs her, the general viewing audience pegged her as the heartless villain and Colby as the great all american cowboy hero. The viewing audience saw Jerri as a manipulative, cold hearted bitch because she saw that Survivor is a game of alliances and numbers while Colby would say he’s here for the adventure and flash a pearly white smile to the cameras. Colby would later reveal he did all this purposefully to hopefully kickstart a hollywood acting or hosting career. Despite Colby being the one to backstab Jerri, not the other way around, this followed Jerri to all stars where yet again Colby disrespected her at every chance he got which ironically lead to her voting him out. She was booed out of the building at the reunion and at her next appearance was put on the Villains tribe with Colby on the Heroes. These attempts at using this issue to rewrite the narrative of their shortcomings by Kass and Sarah hurt the women who actually do fully experience this problem. The jurors didn’t respect Kass because she didn’t respect them or even attempt to pretend to, it wasn’t because she was a woman.
Yeah but if you listen to Sarah’s reasoning there is a clear gender bias. She starts off by saying kass is a mother and then calls her a liar, that’s clear gender bias and enforces the idea older women are supposed to be caring and loyal.
Let's be fair to Sarah. She said that stuff about lying in the game 6 years before she said the stuff about gender bias. Same with Tony. Calling someone a hypocrite for something they said in the past is just childish.

Not gonna lie I think this is a pretty rough video, you're pulling examples from years before this tribal. Can't they have changed since then? Even in this tribal they talked about how the culture has shifted and opinions changed.
Kass flipped the whole game because she was mad at Sarah. She then got into petty fights with Tasha, Morgan, and Spencer. Sarah was robotic to the point where she didn’t do anything out of malice. They were very different and Sarah’s speech made a lot more sense than when Kass tried to claim herself as a massive strategist. She just got mad at Sarah and Trish capatalized on it. She had a much better chance of winning if she didn’t.
The shit Sarah said at 0:15 was hypocritical as hell tho. She seemed mad that kass was a female mother that played deceptively, not just kass being a bitch

2) EoE only really works in this season because almost all the winners were popular so people wanted to see more, but its survivor jr really, there is no aspect that gets your voted out, you vote yourself out so there is no real danger to it, ontop of it you get to get launched into a ongoing survivor game where you have seen all the moves played, alliances drawn etc so you can see where to insert yourself (and most of the people who had the best odds in returning had an hidden immunity idol) so its a pretty safe bet if you run the odds that the person coming back gets to final
3) all of their achievements mean nothing because (as natalie pointed out) everyone knew who was the running the show and leaving him in the game was tandament to losing
4) while there isnt alot of social game on EoE it was noted that (especially near the end) people began to notice natalie sneaking off and distancing herself from key jurors like amber who had been their for a very long time and should have at least had some comradery with them
5) BUT THE KEY ISSUE is that ANYTHING NAT does is negated by her winning the challenge and then chickening out to avoid taking tony head to head... she honestly should have understood that anything other than tony being slain by her is a loss (sarah takes him out and she gets the credit for it netting her the win, michelle takes him out and she gets credit for the kill)
you can play the best game in the world but a dire mistake like that negates everything that player has does
Never really cared too much for Sarah. I thought she was overrated. Kass should’ve been on Game Changers instead of Sarah.

I like how much work you put in this video. It is equivalent to work of an actual archeologist.

I don’t like Tony or Sarah; they are both pigs and Sarah is a huge Trump supporter
worst of all she is a huge MAGA Trump supporter, yet claims to be a hardcore feminist, and complains about bias against women!?!? The two together are not impossible. If you support Trump fine, but atleast don't look like a hypocritical idiot.
3:02 Spencer's Tony impression is on point 🤣. I wish I had access to these DVD extras

This is SO true, I'm glad I'm not the only one who acknowledged this from Sarah.
Probst is the absolute worst at pandering and acting for self image rather than actually caring about issues which matter.
I couldn't agree more
3:00 Spencer's Tony impression is fcking hilarious 😂
Honestly I think it’s because she got to experience the other side of that bias because she got a lot of hate for how she played game changers.

10/10 flashing to Scotty from marketing!

GET EM TURTLE

I would buy this exact same speech a whole lot more if it came from Michele, ngl
@G R didn’t say that, did I?
Survivor Gender at War
Sarah nooooo baby no
I don’t think Sarah was being hypocritical, per say. I think she has just changed as a person and grown as a Survivor player. I mean she had to right. I mean her first time around she was the merge boot, and then the second time around she won, and third time she made it to day 38 where if she made it to the end she probably would have won. Would it have been better if she maybe quoted on her words previously, probably and maybe made a public apology to Kass, but season 28 and season 40 are filmed many years apart, and a person can grow a lot in that time.
theyre right tho.... just look at how they treat kass

Hahahahahha
I mean, she’s right, but someone else should have said it. It is super hypocritical coming from her. I don’t care for Sarah at all.
imo the most hypocritical FTC was the Phillippines. those people were SO bitter and didnt really have any real reason to be. very few of them were even betrayed or blindsided in the first place. furthermore pete/abi/artis had all gone out of their way after the merge to be antagonistic to the minority alliance that eventually went on to beat them fair and square. malcolm was literally mad at denise for convincing skupin to take her over him like she was supposed to accept defeat and not try to win
Lmao the scene that starts out on the walking stick and then moves to the girl they called anorexic. Horrible but comedic.
Okay 😂. In Lacina’s defense tho, it’s pretty obvious Lacina grew a lot in the span of 6 years both as a person as well as a player.
Not to mention she was actively pissed off at Kass for blindsiding her. It’s more likely that’s the reason she even said any of that

To be fair sarah kass are friends now lol

Kass didn’t do anything malicious that Tony didn’t do
The shit Sarah said at 0:15 was hypocritical as hell tho. She seemed mad that kass was a female mother that played deceptively, not just kass being a bitch
the only good people left at that point were natalie and michele
Tony: *fuck my game right?*
Tony too
Yikes
Tony is overrated as hell
@@kat8559 Oh yeah. A two-time winner that got 0 votes all season and orchestrated nearly every elimination on both seasons is "overrated as hell." Lmao, give me a break.
