I like the philosophical interludes in the video like " what is the opposite of love?" You should make that into a series. "Today we are debating whether one can objectively prove we exist while trying to tre flip over this gap."
I know I’m 5 months late, but why make the video without the proper sized trucks? If anything this is an entirely different video idea itself “skating a huge board with baby trucks” can’t really get the proper gauge of skating this board without the 10 inch trucks
My first "pro" board was the Santa Cruz reaper Corey O'Brien. 10,5 and about one or two inch pointy nose. Learned kickflips and nose slides on that board. The 80's were wild. You can skate whatever you have and even get used to it.
I've been watching yall for years since Gabe started, and it's just crazy seeing how yall are like dragon ball characters, but in skateboarding. Watching the progression of everyone is very intriguing. Much love 🙏✌️
As someone who regularly skates big boards a 10.5 is nothing. A friend of mine has a 13.75 board that I’ve done basically all my regular tricks on. I normally skate between 9-10in
Nice, Got to check out my VLOG Short me busting Nollie Hardflips Northstars over ball on my big boy, etc on my 10.75 , Zip Zogger, 54mm spitfire on my 215mm Indy trucks. Great on leg muscles and makes tricks alot funner and challenging. Cool Herion came out with one. NICE VLOG.
@@bovedliI can say other than switch hardflips and switch frontside flips I’ve landed every basic flip trick that you could do in the first 4 Tony hawk games. I’d say my favorite trick is just a regular old impossible.
I’m 6’9’ and 300 pounds and just started skating again at 44 yrs old, I’ve haven’t skated since I was 18 yrs old , this is the board I’m currently skating and I love it
Back in the 80s nearly all boards were that wide, my first was the classic Mike McGill skull & snake. Still have it. The size of those boards lends themselves to different skating styles and tricks. It's not so easy to kickflip or whatever on a huge board, but there are lots of tricks easier on them than popsicle sticks (and vice versa). So yeah, a cool thing to have around anyway depending on your mood.
Maybe do some more videos like this where you’re skating different sized and shaped boards…. Cool to watch you guys do tricks on the bigger ones…. Also btw…. In & Out is number one!
Definitely need wider trucks, or risers to avoid wheel bite. This width seems like the sort of width that was common in the 1980s. I may have had a Dog Town board that was 10" or wider.
11:19 Braille-osophy 101. Love it! Here's another thought for you, @rickyglaser: If we are fortunate, love is something that happens to us, but a mark of maturity in this world is understanding that love is often an action you need to intentionally take. 🙂❤
@braille Love is a verb, it's not a noun, it's not an emotion. Love is an action what you commonly misconstrue. As love is infatuation and infatuation is an emotion love. In fact, is an action.

Ricky and Gabe. My 2 cents of what's opposite of love. Opposite of love is selfishness. Love is all about giving and the others person. Selfishness is all yourself and yourself only.
Yo have you been to fort lauderdale bc surf shop because they set me up I got bones 54mm formula cs wheels and thunder trucks and bones reds bearings and today were leaving fort lauderdale and going home and my uncle brought home John Montessori skateboard for me I'm loving it .😊😊😊
The biggest deck i've ever skated was a Krooked deck and it was like.. an 8.75 or a 9.. it was a normal popsicle shape. I remember it being one of the most fun boards to shred on, loved doing spin tricks on it, but i really struggled with skating on windy days and doing spinning flip tricks(varial-flips, treflips etc) because the deck caught the air so well. I snapped it trying to cave man out of a tic-tac up a wall lmao.
I had the same Baja Fresh experience as Rick, went there because the lady ahead of me at Chipotle was ordering for an entire soccer team and Baja was across the street, it was astonishingly bad
Back when I skated in the late 90s-early 2000s, if you skated over a 7.5 you were a kook. It's cool how far the culture has come to let people just skate how they feel.
How did we skate those match sticks? They weren’t even freestyle decks. Getting back in to skating years later, even though I was getting in to the bigger 80’s dimensions, i was blown that people were skating 8.25. And that standard popsicles were typically 8-8.6. Im glad now I get to play around with shapes and sizes and setups from throughout history and mix em all up now.
Eggs are S tier- they’re used in a ton of stuff. - most anything baked is eggs with flour and butter. Sunny side up, runny in middle, scrambled. Can have at any meal.
id like to try a wider board. and im curious about the straight egg board with the hollows in it. it should be light youd think. has anyone tried one yet? i think its canadian.
I have the wide boy with 169 hollows and rat bones, it’s pretty heavy. I can kickflip it, But mostly just use it at the pump track and for cruising. It’s nice - like a boat
I mess with the food lists mang! How bout for the next ones, we get casual restaurants(one step above fast food, like Ike’s or Hawaiian bbq spots), and then a list for some fancy restaurants
Not gonna lie my favorite most fastest food of all time (more a snack) the jalapeño cream cheese rollers at 7/11 or circle K hit the spot no matter what time of day...
I was gonna say, you could probably Merlin that thing easier. I usually have issues with boards thinner than 8.5. I fail to wrap it properly but that thing looks like it would work pretty well.
firstly if you could Burt Slide game of Skate (so many banks) IF YOU STILL HAVE THE BOARD.. (the 2inches of riser possabliy) Surf skate adapter, Double king pin trucks, Large trick and Alterain
in and out is incredibly overhyped, and chipotle burritos are a different temp depending on where you bite. One side of it was hot, the other ice-cold.
joes steaks Front and Giraud, Philadelphia, PA. my first board was a skull and sword 10x30 . i dont like boards that swallow my feet like a surf board.
OMG! Seeing Purple brought the biggest smile to my face! Love seeing him shred.
I know it was funny i seen a dude air out and I'm like "is that purple?" And then Gabe said "have you ever seen a flying purple" 💀

Genuinely don’t know what I’d be doing rn if Braille didn’t exist
PURPLE SURPRISE!!! That doesn't sound like it did in my head ...

Great video once again chaps. 10" was standard in the '80s. I had an 11" Uncle Wiggley Tony Magnusson model at one point. :)
I did too, actually I grew up in the 70s as well, but grew up on wider boards, but as I've found, as I still have one from then, these are 2" shorter
1. Wendy's
2. Culver's
3. Subway
4. Burger King
5. Never skate boards over 9inch

Not sure if a board made out of eggs would be any lighter than a board made out of wood. Unless the eggs are dehydrated then maybe?
