Gerardo, I was at that fight, ringside. I can't believe it has been 30 years. You were a strong fighter with a great showing that afternoon. Orlando was really strong/skillful against the ropes. He is the greatest Bantamweight of all time. Props to you for taking that fight.
I just learnt of Canizales like 5 or 6 months ago and came here as a fan of his but you put up an amazing and really posed a lot of problems for him. You could tell the pressure was getting to him at some points. Amazing fight! 💪
Its a crime how Orlando isnt even talked about enough. Some of the best defense and offense all around, awesome stamina, awesome footwork, awesome countering, 70% ko ratio, never got knocked out, and a record 15 title defenses. One of my all time greats

Orlando Canizales is one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of gloves. If you want to learn the art of boxing, you have to study his fights.
