A mom who cannot calmly handle kids situation! Your caption was as if something terrible happened. Understandable that child is sick, but your way of Omg dramatic behavior and expressions is what is more sick!! Kids get ear infections left and right!!! It’s very common.
Of course your kiddo is sick, but don’t make a fuss out of it. Be thankful that its only ear infection.
You don’t know what parents go through with real sick kids with diseases.
Using no help reason 24*7! We also live in the US. After so many years you still cannot manage on your own is a shame. You are a mom with two kids, 40 plus women. Grow up and learn to be calm and manage just home if you are not working!
Really then who managed did you come and help me or did I take help from anyone and ear infection don’t happen right and left . Giving lecture is very easy and by the way who told that I am not working. I earn that much atleast I am afford a BMW for myself.

Keep calm payal. Take some effort and make some friends who can help you in such unforseen situations. All of us are alone here.. friends are our family here... Come of of the zone where you constantly think that your world is just 4 people... Think about the time when your daughter will leave home for studies, keep you anxiety level low.. This will keep on repeating until he reaches a good immunity level...
Really how you know I have anxiety and I leave in very white community where everyone is busy . Like seriously did you see me getting anxious and I think any mother will get anxious if they see that their baby is half conscious like you are acting as if people don’t get nervous and scared

@@SimpleLivingWiseThinking Hi Payal, please don’t take all comments as negative - you can patiently think once and see if next time you can make few things easy for you. Definitely situation was difficult and in the heat of the moment difficult to think about solutions. From next time since your husband is always busy with work and if Sid is sick you can think of booking an Uber for Rai for pick up and drop to school in case no one of Rai’s friends parents can help in situations like this. Uber is very safe, you can track it on your phone and she has a phone and she is grown up and school is nearby. You can keep this as backup till she starts driving on her own.
Ear infections can happen within 24 hours after a doctor checks the patient.
Got nothing to do with routine checkups.
Please update your knowledge regarding Toddlers healthcare and how to manage their sickness.
Once the kids start going to daycare, this is ongoing situation till the ear canal develops fully.
Talk to the pediatrician to learn about how to manage and get timely help.
Including sick visits during the week and weekends.
Rai was there as support that is good.
But parents need to be in control of the situation.
There is “ NO SPECIAL AWARD “ for being an over anxious parent!!!!
The most important duty as a parent is to have a plan ready to handle these situations.

An accident, car crash, fire hazard, theft, etc. A sick toddler with readily available medical resources and antibiotics already started, is not “things went horrible suddenly “. Kids usually go lethargic and sleepy in fever and infection. And it takes antibiotics some time to start showing results. I am sorry you are facing a backlash, but you should think about it. You can have a few jealous people but not everyone here is jealous of you. I watch your videos for so many reasons. I felt compelled to comment for a reason. Please use your titles very carefully, those who like your content will still watch your videos even with plain titles. You are very blessed, 😇.

Talk to pediatrician.This is just the first time. You will see many events . This is all part of growing up. Nothing out of norm is happening.

It's quite common that kids getsick but when hubby is out of station it's obviously a panicky situation n it's quite natural so payal pplwill tell so many thing n may even laugh at us but I can personally relate myself touas I get very panicky even though pplr round me too

Life happens. You are programming Rai also to be like you instead of making her capable and strong. That is more important than any GPA. I have three girls who were all honor students and everything in life is not GPA related. You need to involve her in more housework and childcare of her younger sibling. Real life training is important. Most of us are alone here and have to go through all kinds of emergencies. Some worse than what you went through. She is very codependent and naive and needs counseling. Her situation can change in a heartbeat. No one plans on being a single parent. Nothing will change till she changes her mentality. Daughter's learn from the example set by mother's.
For all those who are calling her drama and over acting.. you all are pathetic and feed on negativity. Isme kya drama or over acting hain?? She was all by herself with a sick child and in the USA it’s not like we can get up and go straight to our Dr. or hospital here they have after hour phone service and if anything goes out of control then you have to take your sick child straight to the emergency all by yourself. So in situations like this for someone who has not seen their child severely ill, it is evident to react like this.
So many things went right for you which could have gone wrong easily. Just imazine if you had to have 'real' job and this week you just could not take off, Rai is also a toddler and in your care, not having good insurance plan, not having a reliable car, husband on an international trip, a diagnosis that may require hospitalization, you also are sick etc. etc. -- the list goes on and on. You had a situation and you had all the resources to handle the situation. Your situation is not unique, not tough at all. There are so many incidences where the we have no control over the situation. There is a vlogger who has cancer and she vlogs, now she has it tough!!! Pray to universe that it gives you only so much that you can bear. Ear infection is a common thing.
I hope so when you face the same situation you think like this …… really like I am sure nobody I. This world think about other people when they are in worst situation and we all don’t have the same life like I can’t compare my life to a homeless person right .

Ear infections actually can happen overnight. I’m surprised you don’t know that.
The thing with kids that small, ear infections can happen very fast. A child could be fit and fine today, but tomorrow, he/she may catch an infection, be it the ears or anything else.
This has nothing to do with cleaning the ears.
As far as I know, we, who are not medically trained, cannot check ears of infants or adults for infections. Only doctors/pediatricians are qualified to do that check/control.
We can only do cleaning and that too on the outside. If you need a thorough cleaning of the ears, only a doctor can do that with the right tools.
I know because my son’s doctor always cleaned his ears with a special tool for deep cleaning before checking his ears.

Payal trust me it is hard to see your child like this but this is how his body will develop immunity, he has been lethargic because his body needs all that energy to fight the infection. Only thing to remember is to keep him hydrated, he won’t eat much and it’s fine Dr. say that. Push fluids and let him rest that’s the key. Also, his appetite will be down for sometime but that’s ok he will catch up. Also, once the antibiotics course is complete (make sure you do complete it even if he is feeling better) then do give him prebiotic because that will help replenish his gut microbe.

Children go through ear infections with a cycle of antibiotics for 10 days, 10 days gap and then it starts all over again.
I have been through this till my child was 5 years old.

Hi Payal, I can under your situation because this happened with me when I was home alone with my 9 month old and he had a fever and I panicked too. But one thing I will tell you since I have 2 kids and I have this experience of them getting extremely sick, if your child is sleeping then it is a good sign because that way his body is putting all the energy in fighting the infection, yes it is very scary to see your child is this condition but when we are sick we also feel like sitting down and taking rest. I really am not a fan of day cares because kids usually pick infections quite often. My daughter used to go to daycare and trust me she had the same situations. But remember kids do sleep a lot when they are sick so it is not a bad thing but they must be kept hydrated.

When kids start school ear infection is very normal . It’s kind of part of the deal . Both my kids went through the phase .

Yes it’s very scary when kids suddenly fall sick and just sleep. Next time you take him for a regular check up, you yourself ask the doctor to check his ears too. It’s good that Sid has recovered now. Antibiotics cause nausea and vomiting so if possible try to mix it with his favourite food. Boiled potatoes with a pinch of salt is also comforting when one is sick. You can also enquire at pharmacy if there are any over the counter ear drops which you can keep at home. Ear infection is a recurring problem. It is more difficult before kids can learn to speak and tell us where it hurts and if they are feeling sick.

I have 3 kids with older two 17 mths apart, like twins. I had been through hell when they were babies and looking back still can't believe how I did it. I was taking care of them by myself, no daycare and with husband working all day and he also gone on work trips for a week at a time.

Really this matter is tiny I had no idea dear . I had not a single person to help . I took my sick child while he was mostly like unconscious to bring my daughter from school as that day she had last exam . Things look very easy when you never face the situation yourself .

Hey Payal, I must say that you managed the emergency very well. Managing a medical emergency single handedly is very brave. But this is the difference between India and abroad. Payal, just calm down! I too had faced this situation when my husband was abroad and i was alone in delhi( belong to hyd) with absolutely no help. And Both my babies and myself sick. I had to take them to doctor by rickshaw in delhi winters. I still feel traumatized thinking about that situation. Recently too ,during covid ,my dad had a heart attack and I had to rush him to the hospital at midnight all alone leaving my kids at home. My husband was travelling again! I had to manage for 48 hrs in the hospital leaving my kids alone at home. Life happens ! We have to learn from experiences. We r all alone at some point dealing with unexpected situations. When u feel anxious, sit down for a few moments and chart out a next plan of action. Positive thing is Rai is grown up and she was a great help. All blessings to Sid. TC

Hi I always watch ur vlog since many many years . I am a Bengali I live in Mumbai with my husband with two small kids . We both are doctors . I could really feel ur pain when u were showing those videos of Sid I had tears in my eyes . It is very difficult to raise children without family support. My in laws stays with me so I can leave me kids with them and whole day get busy with patients and surgery . Family support is very important. I would also feel helpless like u if something like this happened to me inspite of being a gynaecologist myslef . U r very very brave . God bless you and ur family

Hi Payal! I hope you all are fine, and I hope Sid is feeling better now. I want to tell you something, please stop giving Sid a bottle because it often causes ear infections in children. I live in Seattle, and my daughter also had an ear infection. Our doctor immediately advised against giving her a bottle, so now I give her milk using a straw in a glass. I have gone through the same situation and i felt the same .Please give it a try and see if it helps.God bless you all😊.

Hey Payal .. Thank God 🙏🏻Sid is well now .. u can wash pillow in washing machine.. and it will dry perfectly in dryer. Yes u can replace them too .. ❤..
My daughter has had 3 ear infections in less than 4 months. Unfortunately this is a common occurence in kids and everything what you described and it will most likely happen again .I've seen in both my kids . Main thing like you said is to keep them hydrated.. The viruses in the U.S are very extreme..
This all happens when husbands are away...mere sath yeh humesha hota tha in my daughter' childhood. Bohot darr lagta he bhai.mujhe bhi.

I have been in a similar situation with two children. At the time one was 6 and one was 2...and my husband was out of town. I had to rely on friends for a ride to and back from the clinic. It was so stressful for me as I was alone.
Ppl r just there to judge...if you can't say anything good then better you all not comment. Unless you have been in certain situation, you won't understand.
Only a parent know what they go through when their kid is sick n down . And every one have their own experience especially in a different country . My kid also sufferd same situation 3 days before… if fever did not go dwn put onion juce on foot nd hands..fever will drop fast…and also do thandi patti

Feel so relieved seeing him back and Sid back to his active self. Yes, ear infections can be painful and fever inducing.. Until a child is old enough to communicate, it's tricky for parents to figure out the issue.

I can understand payal this happens to my daughter when she was eleven months..she had very bad stomach infection..25 potty in 24 hrs...with blood in stool ..dr said please give water ...and she was peeing ...kids fall sick.. 😢😢 abhi hum pareshan ho jate hai...
