You missed the most important fact. It hurts intensely like someone is stabbing you with an ice pick, especially if you’re hairy. I’m a relatively fair skinned Indian girl with dark hair. I went to 2 sessions and realized I just couldn’t handle the pain anymore. And I’ve done multiple treatments like Dermarolling, Morpheus8 etc etc. so I’m not new to pain.
Right...no one told me that every increasing session they increase the intensity.. I did only 6 and the last one hurt like hell even though I barely have any growth over my body
Do not go for the cheap ones. Try the advanced sophronic laser. Its available at a few places in india. It hurts less. Also make sure not to use any exfoliation or retinoids 1 week before the session
@@keerthanamaheshbabu5023 ummm I went to one of the very well reputed clinics in the US. I know the pain is of a similar scale in Indian high end clinics as well.
Yag doesn't hurt. Yes a bit of a sting during a Brazilian maybe but not unbearable and better than a wax.. The hair does need to be shaved tho. Maybe the type of laser used on you was harsh.

Exactly every point is important. Don’t pluck your hair because they want their roots. Dark color get less result and much more pain. You know that darker part in body.Well it is so pain full for everyone. Even after numbing. When salon says it is permanent. Then they add just come for maintenance session which is from six months to one year. And that lead to many years. I am in my 6th year of maintenance . But now yearly.
People misunderstood this concept basically at first it was for abnormal hair growth like if it is on your chin neck etc or upper lips if they are excess it was not for vagina and armpits because this are normal place for hair but cosmetic company made it for everything so they can make money
Laser works well on African American skin but the YAG laser MUST be used. Ive done my lower face and underarms. I initially did 7 sessions once every 4-5 weeks. Now I rarely have to go in for touch ups. Maybe once or twice a year but Ive skipped an entire year b4 with only a few hairs here and there. Well worth the investment.
Didn't you review an IPL machine in the past?? I vaguely remember the same. I also do remember when you were promoting laser treatments too. What's up?
She isn't saying Lasers dont work...they do but it causes reduction..not complete removal of hair.. the hair you get is really fine and depending upon your growth it shows up.. She had mentioned the same in her laser video
Detailed video on chemical peeling people are opting these days where in after the treatment skin sheds. Is it good or bad? How many sessions, side effects etc etc😊

You mentioned something about colour... I didn't quite get it. Do you mean that, for example, if laser is done on underarms then it'll darken my underarms??
No she meant if our skin is naturally dark then the mechanism through which laser triggers might not work quite the same. The same applies to light hair like blondes or red heads for example the hair colour being light it might go undetected by the gadget. So lighter skin acts as a canvas against dark hair. Although there are many new versions of machines which can detect under any condition but they are not quite widely used yet.
Doctor explains everthing before the procedure and precautions too. So nothing to worry about. Im happy that i did laser. I had ingrown hair and it caused bumps eveything i shaved. I cannot handle the pain of tweezers 😅. So this has been a life saver😊
The growth u get later is really fine.. barely shows but again depends on your natural growth. And if you wax later it basically reverses the whole procedure.. u need to shift to shaving
Is LHR worth it then? If its not permanent cant one just go for waxing instead? Does it have some health complications. Will 10 years down the line we will be told skin cancer in Indian women is increasing due to LHR?
If you are not hirsute about 4-6 sessions should get rid of the hair. Then you do a touch up once a year. IpL works, but if you are skin type C5>, be careful . Its can remove hyperpigmentation at higher freqs and does depilation at the same time.
I'm a medical student... yes hormones 💯 impact the results, laser only affects the topical hair growth, not it's root causes and if hormones are kept unchecked, hair will continue to grow thicker as per their natural cycle.
Hey.. laser back fired and I have more faicial hair than before!! I am done with my sessions, but I could still see hair growing and started shaving.. it's been worse!! I literally shave every single day and it doesn't feel good.. Please help if you have any suggestions on how to tackle this
Don't do it. Looks awful, like a bad tattoo. The same whether it's been in Korea, Brazil or New York. And it affects the hair follicles on the brow. Just use makeup. And a teeny bit of oil or Vaseline at night.
In Mumbai, it's generally 60k - 2 lakhs. I found a really good clinic though that charged 40k for one person and 35k if you bring a friend along. It was for 14 full body sessions. This was last year. Things have ofc changed since then.
I have a very fine and very less body hair. And it takes around 2 weeks to grow back noticable hair after waxing and since my body hair is fine, it doesn't sting.
i'm a light balck american male i disagree you said stay around from the sun because my hair loves the sun the sun actually help with my hair growth i think the sun is good for us it's not bad to us i don't believe that the sun is bad to us at all and everyone hair is difference what may work for most people may not work for someone else the sun is not for everyone hair type but the sun if for some of us that some people hair loves the sunlight and some people hair don't like the sun light but i do agree most say that our hair is like a plant that it needs both some water and some little bit of sunlight everyday i do agree don't give our hair too much sunlight and water everyday that can cause hair breakage
For some, lasers can backfire and produce more hair growth. It's called paradoxical hypertrichosis. I ended up having that. So when I shave, the rest of body hair grows much much slower than my face. My hair is much more thicker on my face post laser treatment. I had 8 sessions only to have a beard better than my husband 😢

@@ridahtahira3 I wax/shave/tweeze my facial hair. That's the only solution I have been using. Wax makes the hair come after a week or 1.5 week. I tweeze after that. If I am lazy I shave but the hair grows back in 3-4 days. I hope to get more suggestions if anyone has any?
@ridahtahira7723 Unfortunately for many, shaving is the safest option. Some opt for waxing, but it tends to irritate the skin, leaving with rashes and pimples. Some use ipl as well. Again, this can too much for sensitive skin, flat out not work if you are tanned there. Try using single blade shaving. This is much sharper and gives a closer finish. That said, this method requires proper prep and cannot be done in a hurry.
You should not wax and tweeze even otherwise , you are stimulating the follicle by doing that which laser is trying to work on. It is not Permanent does not mean it can be compared to waxing that your hair will return like they do with waxing. Your hormones play a major role with effectiveness of laser treatment and hair regrowth. It depends -who does the laser treatment for you because I have been a laser tech in the past. If they use really low settings after testing your skin, it may not be as effective for you.
Girl this happened to me too but the lady that was doing the treatment didn't do it properly I changed the place and within 1 Sesh all hair fell right off...please watch vids on how it's done n stuff..It might help.

Better to consult a dermatologist who can provide you guidance in detail.

Is it safe for face n neck?
It reduces the hair thickness n defers the growth?

What if I just want to do for my underarms should I go for it
What about grey hair ...if not laser then what's the alternative treatment
Is there any other methods for facial hair
For permanent hair removal? You can try electrolysis. But it’s very outdated.
Can laser hair removal be maintained long-term by using IPL at home or would you still have to go for maintenance sessions periodically?
After laser hair removal, how to take care of underarm odor & pigmentation??
Ive never waxed or shaved in my life, and i have as much hair on my hand as yours
