This is an episode of The Joker's Wild. The original airdate is Sept. 21, 1972. The show ends with a cliffhanger, and no I don't have the episode that immediately follows.
i used to love this show as a kid. at one time in the early 70's a young college student named bob chinicello (chin-a-cello) was briefly the biggest winner in game show history. he told a story about calling his mom and telling her of all of his winnings. she replied 'are you drunk?' all these years later i still remember his name. my cousins and i would watch the show everyday at our grandmother's house and cheer him on.
Aha! The game where Nancy points out the answer to her question at 4:23 is on the Annual Events category wheel. But I think B&E have learned their lesson from the scandals.
Syndication started during the 1977-1978 season after vacationing for two seasons for other game shows like "Double Cross", "We Got Your Number", and "Break the Bank".
These 60s and 70s ladies....Nancy if you are still 'round, you rock.
It would be nice to hear a clean version of that alternate version of the opening theme and those prize cues. Lots of great Moog.
Originally the theme was from 1969.
Thanks for sharing this. Loved this show. So much better than the crap on these days

This was during Jack Barry's 13 week probationary period with CBS, due to his involvement in the quiz show scandals in the 1950's.
Love The Joker’s Wild!
That was definitely a Groundhog! The sun was in the background and it was casting a shadow.
Is there anyway to know who won the match?

Wow! What a cliffhanger to end the show. Why didn't Jack go to a commercial before the last spin?
