In this tutorial we have read about how to copy instance to other region by AMI(Amazon Machine Image)
1. create an instance in region1 and keep their .pem password
2. Again go to instance page action pane and create image. and check in left side IMAGES pane "AMI"
3. Delete region1's instance(It's not necessary but only for testing that region1 instance are fully copy of region1's image )
4. Go to Image pane AMI and copy AMI to region2.
5. Go to Region2 instance pane and here you can show your Region1's image.
6. Here select that image and create an instance . Login with Region1's password
7. Finally you will find here all the same data which you have created on Region1's instance.
want to create this ec2 using amazon-linux then what will be the steps

I performed this lab also , I tried from Mumbai to London and was unable to do RDP successfully to London region, later I checked the comments and tried to copy the ami and create and instance in Singapore..I was successfully able to do it.. is it like this .. that we need to follow the creation of instance from ami from the perspective at the continent level ? Because even in ur video u have taken Virginia and ohio which lies in US East and I also when tried mumbai and Singapore , they were in Asia Pacific ..probably might be the case .. can u confirm on it ?

thnk for you valuable contents,, one doubt--- If while launching an Copy image in virgina or different reason, we only require a passrod which was create at ohio or a source region then ..what is the use of create a new pair in virgina reason while launching ec2 instance / image ?

Dear sir fist of all thank you so much for making these video. You said in this lec that when we launch our AMI my instance also connect with new key. But you said it didn't work
Great lecture . Just have a doubt if we have multiple AMI created and we have to create and launch a new nstance from AMI , how do you do that to create anew instance from a particular AMI ? In this example you have one AMI and launched instance from the only AMI available ( i.e root and 8GB EBS storage )

Yes the public IP gets change and if you dont want the IP to get change you have to allocate the elastic IP to it. Hope this help

One question if we are doing same thing on linux server in that we dont use password for opening a instance instead we use ppk key file. So in this case when we try to login second server created from image of first when which key we shall use . The key of first server or the second one ?? Please clarify

Created file on desktop and deleted root file system then after recovering how it's show on desktop?

For data backup we are using snapshot & if we need the same configuration ec2 in same or different regions then we can use AMI.
Difficult to understand difference between AMI and snapshot.both r servings same purpose.
Yes, both are the same for backup purpose. Through AMI we can launch ec2 directly in shacpshot first we neeed to make image the we do.For data backup we are using snapshot & if we need the same configuration ec2 in same or different regions then we can use AMI.
for me it's showing the password is incorrect while connecting with copy server in another region
