I rate the tune. He may be crossing over or making a link from being an underground artist to the mainstream but that isn't a bad thing, its just more exposure for an artist that deserves it! I found this to be really quite tasteful. I love the heavily compressed hip hop drum beat mixed with the distorted rock guitars and the higher pitched samples reminiscent of UK Garage. Also, the vocals in the chorus seemed to have a hint of Jazz in the delivery. If this is selling out, why complain?
