This is John's contribution to the Queen Soundtrack for the movie Highlander. It is so beautiful, I can't imagine anyone not loving this song. John wrote good love songs. I believe this is a dance scene in the movie. The main character in the movie is immortal and his lady is not so the lyrics of this song really hit home with the theme of the movie.

Steve Gregory played the sax, who also played in Geroge Michael's Careless Whispers. Freddie had a distinctive voice, he exatly knew where to put the emphasizes and he sang with passion and uniqe dynamics, that's why he is the GOAT.
Good catch about the synthesizer. They did not use them in early albums. But began to experiment with them in later music like the magic album. Each member wrote a song for the movie Highlander. This was Deacon’s contribution. They were all incredibly talented songwriters. Each have been inducted in the songwriting hall of fame! Only band to have all 4 members write at least 3 hits!
A Queen (Freddie & John) take on R&B song. Read that Jihn played all instruments except the sax...but thought the strings were added from an orchestra, not a synth. But Freddie's vocals are truly beyond next level.
Have you seen the movie "The Highlander"?? This song, and several others were written as the soundtrack to the movie, about an immortal man and the struggles of watching your lover grow old and die and you don't... quite a concept... great movie, and outstanding music to accompany it, all written by the entire band!!
