My wife of 15 years of marriage and 18 years of knowing each other just passed away suddenly 18 days ago. She had several medical problems and she passed in her sleep. I know she isn't in any pain no more but I'm lost, broken, in so much pain and I don't know how much I have left in me. I'm trying to keep it together for our 4 boys but this is so hard. She was my everything. We here like Ying and yang. I knew her inside and out. She knew me better then I knew myself. My faith is shaken quite a bit. I'm really trying to see God's plan in this one. I'm really getting tested here and I was never good on tests. I know she is with me because of the crazy things that has been happening around here. I keep praying for the strength to keep going on but this pain is on another level. This has taught me one thing so far. My wife was only 38 and life is really too short.
I am 51 and have been battling drug addiction since I was 9years old along with depression. My dad did not understand where all my anger came from towards him, he was never home. He got me arrested.not let me come back home until i stopped using drugs which sent me to York PA. My post traumatic stress after working in health care got so bad from not addressing it and not having ANYONE to understand It wasn't till I started listening to Brian Welch that I understood what needed to do to heal from my past and live in the now, because we can't change the past it is gone so live for today. One night several years ago I was in a really sad time in my life and I cried out to Jesus and he spoke back to me saying only this. I Love You My Son. I instantly stopped sobbing and could take a full breath and I just smiled because I have always known that the Holy trinity is real and God is absolutely good and always faithful. I grew up having a very strong relationship with Jesus since I was 4 thanks to my amazing mother who taught me about Jesus. I hear people say they don't believe because they haven't seen or experienced anything for themselves personally so they don't believe anything. They instantly say they aren't religious. I say me either, I just have a amazing relationship with Jesus to light that curiosity spark in them to hear what I have to say next. The cool point to this, is it doesn't matter who you are or where you are in this world, Jesus has your location and is working in your life constantly. God Loves us just the way we are, but he refuses to leave us that way, because he wants us to be just like Jesus. Christlike. Hallelujah.
I'd rather spend the rest of my life pleasing and serving God, Him not exist, and I lose nothing than not serving and pleasing Him, He exist, and I lose everything. NOT worth the risks! If anything he was kind of against organized religion. Probably why many Jews didn't like what he was saying and voted to put him to death. I just finished your book Save Me from Myself and I’m working on another book, listening to your audiobook of With My Eyes Wide Open, and I gotta say WOW what a powerful testimony….I have had very similar spiritual experiences to what you have in my own walk with the Lord, so I gotta say you are so right, and we can’t go by what such and such preacher says but we have to find out for ourselves, and it’s not impossible! The experience is why I believe in the Bible, not the other way around. Your first book I have to say is one of the most powerful testimonies I’ve ever heard. It really helped me to put my life in perspective because I wanted to be a musician myself and I am one but I struggled with that so much of my life, so it was good to know that all of that just doesn’t compare to a real relationship with Christ. If I can write a little music here and there to worship my Lord, then that’s good. It’s a gift. But Jesus is the real gift. God bless you brother. I love you, and take care of yourself!

I have a bit of a different fear and has nothing to do with war or what is going on in Europe. Of course having been in the Marines for five years and the Army for five years, I just don't see things going very well for Russia if they fight NATO or the US. Keep our soldiers in prayer. My unit is in the very front lines there. My fears arise from the World Economic Forum and what they are trying to get countries to do which is first to convert all cuurrencies to digital cash-lots of clountries are working n this now (as is ours). Ask yourself, if every currency is digitized, how long will it take to merge all currncies into one currency? Mark of the beast is also something I am concerned with. This is not the mark of the beast but will sure act like one when they put everybody's information on a smart phone or app. It is a federated digital ID. Between a digital ID and digital cash, you will not be able to sell or buy unless you have this kind of ID. sound familiar? This is not in itself the mark of the beast but will act just like the mark of the beast. I am not worried about things for me but my three and a half year old daughter.
@David Emme Stop worrying what will happen God always knew about it before we were born. If this is what needs to occur and people are forced into all the coercion taking place the Lord already knows about it. Things will get bad for it is written in the bible but we need to keep our faith no matter what, it is one step closer to the Lord's return and that alone is what keeps me positive on all the horrible things occuring in today's world. It is hard, educate your children on what is occuring, but rest on the Lord alone to comfort you as he did not install fear but faith in us.
The devil wants you to keep worrying because that's where he feels happy in your unhappiness but lean on the Lord no matter how tough things get, keep trusting in him, don't ever loose faith, even if it gets tough, even if you loose it all, it doesn't matter, you have the Lord alone and he is here for you always even when you can't feel his presence and feel so alone, keep talking to the Lord to help you and comfort you. Reality is this does not affect my ither emotions and do try to place it n the hands of God. Had an old friend from highschool hit me up on Face book asking why was he more depressed about my cancer than I was? What was my secret? I have to say, getting blown up in Iraq was a lot more painful and brought a lot more fears than a person should have in this life. Am I fearful for my daughter-yes I am. Does it control my life or affect my hapiness? Not in the least. I have never been promised another day in my liife-I can get a brain stroke andd it could kkill me quick-I had a penetrating head wound from an IED in Tal Afar, Iraq in November 2004. I still have shrapnel in my brain and a prosthetic skull bigger than my had on the left side. According to a good friend I worked for (and with) at one time-his words, not mine, "You cape Diem the F out of life not letting anything or anyone stop you". He encouraged me because there are many people in our world that did noot go through what I went through-I live a much fuller life they can never approach even if they tried. Over a year ago I contracted Esophagus Cancer that thickened my Esophagus and I could not eat as I could not get it to go down my throuat-I would usually puke it back up. Had Chemo and radiation therapy and then surgery to cut the cancerous part out while using my stomach to make up the rest of my Esophagagus. The other thing that probably contributes to my fear is the favct my wife and daughter are living in the Philippines and I am not. Not quite a year and a half-maybe a year and four months. One of the things that did help me alot was a scripture-I cannot rememver where it is at but it is Paul who talks about whether yoou eat or drink, whatever you do, do it for the glory of God. How do you go through having cancer for the glory of God? First-understand that nothing takes God by surprise. Second, understanding when we were saved, born again-there is one part of us that needs to still be redeemed-our bodies. So I woould not be the first Christian with cancer nor would be the last. So I tried remaining positive in everything and the reality was-it was a much tougher road I had to travel after being wounded in Iraq-twice. First oone from a Mortar Attack and the second from an IED. As I said before, thank you for the encouraging words.

I have read your book Save Me From Myself a few times very recently because I want to try to quit using "ice" not to mention I have been a Korn fan since I was maybe 11 n I'm 30 now. I've tried many times to quit and failed but man I've lost everything I had possessions, my fiance and my son, career, and possibly soon my house I just want to talk or be able to relate with someone who has been there and won't make me feel like more of a P.o.s. than I already do. I'm so confused and scared feel alone and I know I put myself here but this addiction is so powerful it's literally insanity. I'm trying to find a place where I live so I can go detox because I just don't think I can do it at home alone I know myself way to well. So glad my "Christian phase" was like a week. Plus, I don't think Jesus came here to conform everyone to some religion. If anything he was kind of against organized religion. Probably why many Jews didn't like what he was saying and voted to put him to death. When he said 'I am the way' I don't think he meant worship his butthole like some idol and create another dogmatic religion as many modern Christians do. But (try to) follow his example.

This is New Testament. Let alone stuff like Lev 25-44 to 47. That book has been so edited I just can't accept it as a whole. I find Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism with its Non- "Abraham" or "Zeus" like concept/philosophy of a "God in the sky just not on clouds this time" but that the life and death force is 'everywhere and everything' far more interesting. Though I still keep an open mind.

The deconstruction community is about understanding why the church has rejected them and harmed them then kicked them to the curb. To declare this "war" he is just about to harm against something he has no clue about. As a member of the deconstruction community I understand that the church has done harm by teaching doctrines above the word of God and above the actions of Jesus Christ. So I want to talk with him first before he goes on spewing this garbage understanding. Deconstruction is about tearing out the heart of harmful Christianity, pulling the scales from the eyes more so. We know the Church isn't about harm, but white evangelical Christianity has made it its mission to hunt down people into submission to its toxic beliefs.

I just finished your book Save Me from Myself and I’m working on another book, listening to your audiobook of With My Eyes Wide Open, and I gotta say WOW what a powerful testimony….I have had very similar spiritual experiences to what you have in my own walk with the Lord, so I gotta say you are so right, and we can’t go by what such and such preacher says but we have to find out for ourselves, and it’s not impossible! The experience is why I believe in the Bible, not the other way around. Your first book I have to say is one of the most powerful testimonies I’ve ever heard. It really helped me to put my life in perspective because I wanted to be a musician myself and I am one but I struggled with that so much of my life, so it was good to know that all of that just doesn’t compare to a real relationship with Christ. If I can write a little music here and there to worship my Lord, then that’s good. It’s a gift. But Jesus is the real gift. God bless you brother. I love you, and take care of yourself!

I have a bit of a different fear and has nothing to do with war or what is going on in Europe. Of course having been in the Marines for five years and the Army for five years, I just don't see things going very well for Russia if they fight NATO or the US. Keep our soldiers in prayer. My unit is in the very front lines there. My fears arise from the World Economic Forum and what they are trying to get countries to do which is first to convert all cuurrencies to digital cash-lots of clountries are working n this now (as is ours). Ask yourself, if every currency is digitized, how long will it take to merge all currncies into one currency? Mark of the beast is also something I am concerned with. This is not the mark of the beast but will sure act like one when they put everybody's information on a smart phone or app. It is a federated digital ID. Between a digital ID and digital cash, you will not be able to sell or buy unless you have this kind of ID. sound familiar? This is not in itself the mark of the beast but will act just like the mark of the beast. I am not worried about things for me but my three and a half year old daughter.
@David Emme Stop worrying what will happen God always knew about it before we were born. If this is what needs to occur and people are forced into all the coercion taking place the Lord already knows about it. Things will get bad for it is written in the bible but we need to keep our faith no matter what, it is one step closer to the Lord's return and that alone is what keeps me positive on all the horrible things occuring in today's world. It is hard, educate your children on what is occuring, but rest on the Lord alone to comfort you as he did not install fear but faith in us.
The devil wants you to keep worrying because that's where he feels happy in your unhappiness but lean on the Lord no matter how tough things get, keep trusting in him, don't ever loose faith, even if it gets tough, even if you loose it all, it doesn't matter, you have the Lord alone and he is here for you always even when you can't feel his presence and feel so alone, keep talking to the Lord to help you and comfort you. Everything will be fine, trust me.

Reality is this does not affect my ither emotions and do try to place it n the hands of God. Had an old friend from highschool hit me up on Face book asking why was he more depressed about my cancer than I was? What was my secret? I have to say, getting blown up in Iraq was a lot more painful and brought a lot more fears than a person should have in this life. Am I fearful for my daughter-yes I am. Does it control my life or affect my hapiness? Not in the least. I have never been promised another day in my liife-I can get a brain stroke andd it could kkill me quick-I had a penetrating head wound from an IED in Tal Afar, Iraq in November 2004. I still have shrapnel in my brain and a prosthetic skull bigger than my had on the left side. According to a good friend I worked for (and with) at one time-his words, not mine, "You cape Diem the F out of life not letting anything or anyone stop you". He encouraged me because there are many people in our world that did noot go through what I went through-I live a much fuller life they can never approach even if they tried. Over a year ago I contracted Esophagus Cancer that thickened my Esophagus and I could not eat as I could not get it to go down my throuat-I would usually puke it back up. Had Chemo and radiation therapy and then surgery to cut the cancerous part out while using my stomach to make up the rest of my Esophagagus. The other thing that probably contributes to my fear is the favct my wife and daughter are living in the Philippines and I am not. Not quite a year and a half-maybe a year and four months.
One of the things that did help me alot was a scripture-I cannot rememver where it is at but it is Paul who talks about whether yoou eat or drink, whatever you do, do it for the glory of God. How do you go through having cancer for the glory of God? First-understand that nothing takes God by surprise. Second, understanding when we were saved, born again-there is one part of us that needs to still be redeemed-our bodies. So I woould not be the first Christian with cancer nor would be the last. So I tried remaining positive in everything and the reality was-it was a much tougher road I had to travel after being wounded in Iraq-twice. First oone from a Mortar Attack and the second from an IED. As I said before, thank you for the encouraging words.
Thank God for you and me and him and the truth being revealed but flip side we'll know everything and we may not like every thing we know but God is good.

I have read your book Save Me From Myself a few times very recently because I want to try to quit using "ice" not to mention I have been a Korn fan since I was maybe 11 n I'm 30 now. I've tried many times to quit and failed but man I've lost everything I had possessions, my fiance and my son, career, and possibly soon my house I just want to talk or be able to relate with someone who has been there and won't make me feel like more of a P.o.s. than I already do. I'm so confused and scared feel alone and I know I put myself here but this addiction is so powerful it's literally insanity. I'm trying to find a place where I live so I can go detox because I just don't think I can do it at home alone I know myself way to well. Thanks for that book bro it has really helped me alot and I'll probably be reading it again as I'm coming off this poison to try and salvage some of my mind, body, and dignity.
