SMU played as expected. They came into a tough place to play in rough conditions and did a decent job. They were tough but not Big 10 level at this point. They should improve and be better next year. Respect good teams and they are pretty good.

First year in a Power 4 with ZERO years recruiting as a power 4. Jennings had a miserable day and all self inflicted. They held PS to 300 yards of offense. The SMU defense gave up 17 points, and that is winning football defense. When good teams play good teams, if one is off, there is no margin for error. Jennings had an awful game against the worst opponent to do that with. SMU in the red zone 6 times with no TDs, That offense is good, Jennings just wasn't. The SMU defense was plenty good.
