That's a pretty interesting-looking game. I like the idea of the characters coming back as undead. I don't mind the "take that" element. It can be fun, especially with the right group of players. Thanks for another excellent review!
Great review studio awesome!.Game looks interesting and fun. Like the idea of using the undead as Zombies! A nice twist . Worth getting that expansion to utilise the idea on other games. HMMM! Keep up the good work, and hope the baby is doing ok. More please!
Thanks for the insightful and entertaining review. You guys are indeed awesome! How complex is this game to you, after overcoming the faction learning curve? It almost looks as if it could fall into the trap of being predictable after a handful of plays...
Freddie Duran Intern Dan here. I played this with Ryan a couple of times so I’ll chime in until he can. Learning curve wasn’t bad. Game play is pretty simple so it really becomes reading the battlefield and trying to get the right cards to put your plan into action. I didn’t feel it was predictable because you had to have cards with certain symbols to use specific units. I might think you’re going to attack me in space 27, but if you don’t have that unit’s card, I’ll have to be prepared to handle your attack elsewhere. Plus, your faction might have to play a little differently depending on the opponent.
Sorry for the delay, just got back from a trip. I think Dan explained it well. The game isn't overly complex, but predictability is limited by the luck of the draw. Your faction might allow you to do unique things, but those cards might not be in your hand, and the character whom the actions are restricted to might not be in the right place. A lot of the strategy comes down to where you hide your opponent's shards, where you put your characters' starting positions, and what order you decide to reveal them. --Ryan

I'll ask Ryan and Katie your question. :)

Did Ryan and Katie ever let you know?
