This one had me speechless! I recognize and applaud the effort made to bring this video to the viewers! Much appreciated! Besides dangerous, the road is also horrible at Brasso Seco and Madamas!
My girlfriend and I (2 women) made this drive on Christmas night, 2023, in a 2015 Toyota yaris sedan at night from Arima to St Ann's through Blanchisseuse, Las Cuevas and Maracus and it was her first time ever driving on that road. Thanks for giving us a daylight view of it.
Interesting and beautiful video. You once again took me down memory lane. My drive done from Arima to Aranguez via the Blanchisseuse road was made with a work colleague who was the driver over 10 years ago. I was in awe at the scenery then and I am still in awe at the scenery now watching this video. Keep up the good work showing our beautiful country to the wider world.
Thank You SO MUCH for posting this. I am sitting on my couch at the very edge of my seat and with rapid heart beats. I left Trinidad as a 20 year old...This scares the living g daylight out of me. Trinidad is gorgeous and dangerous!!!
WOW😮 beautiful senic and soooo green. Would love to rent a cabin up there, spend a week, go for some morning running inhale fresh mountain air. Trinidad is soo beautiful❤❤
What a beautiful country we live in. My favorite drive as a child. All we need is for the politicians to pay more attention to the upkeep of the roads. They can do it .I see they have attempted som great work already.
@@StephanieJoseph-t6m I quite agree - quite beautiful. Yes, some work has been done, but there's lots more to do. Thanks for the view and comments! 🙏 👍
I have driven from Belmont to Valencia River many times and that was beautiful. And from Lady Young Rd to Belmont it was a dirt Road in my time before it was covered with tar. Enjoyed I love it great memories.
Wow, what a journey! I can only imagine how different those roads were back then. 👍Thank you for visiting and sharing! 💯👍It's great when we hear how things used to be! 💯👍
I recently drove this route but coming from Maracas side to Arima. It was one of the scariest rides I have ever taken in Trinidad. I'm not Trini but love this Island and the sceneries. There was a spot where it left you out in the vast of the mountain road without any rails or trees and just open space. freaked me out. I don't think that I can handle going from Arima's side. lol
Yes it is scary driving there - especially if the drops are on your side of the road! Thanks for viewing & taking the time to leave a comment! I agree - T&T has some really cool spots - all the best! 😊👍💯
Interesting, but I would like to have heard some narrative or description of the types of foliage or plants along the way. I live in Texas. I was born in Trinidad but I have never driven on that road.
Never travelled that route but it is really worth it. I wish I had the opportunity but thanks for this outstaanding video. Blanchisseuse Road is not really all that dangerous in the true sense, it lacks proper maintenance. It takes a skilled driver to navigate the road. Very scenic and lush vegetation. Where are the MPs for the areas. Guess they appear at election time. The residents should remember all the super huge potholes then.
Quite true, thanks for viewing and commenting 👍. It's dangerous one slip and you slide . literally. One ha to be extra careful where the precipice is on your side...there is very little space for any mistake. Thanks for viewing..glad u took the virtual tour with us!🎉
Could you imagine the logistical nightmare trying to patch that road way. Getting trucks and equipment there. Bringing in people, parts day in day out. Its doable but expensive and, is it worth the price?
Quite agree. Sangre Grande is a hub for a lot of smaller towns and villages and hence traffic volume is much higher - just my opinion though! Thanks for viewing and commenting! 💯👍
Hello Sharon - thanks for viewing & taking the time to leave a comment & a suggestion - they are always welcome! Will certainly do a video of the area soon - and yes it has to be in the day as you suggested! all the best! 😊👍💯
Thanks for viewing and leaving some feedback. some of the time the quality may not be that great - so I have made the important ones into huge captions. If the quality is good the video can be paused to read the signs also.
Thanks for viewing & expressing an opinion. Just to reiterate, this video is about driving conditions and not any other issue which our country may be experiencing.
Sorry if it wasn't clear but quite a lot of tragic accidents happened on this road. Did you see the shrine? The fact that one side has drops in excess of 75m (a lot of them hidden by bushes at the top) and that vehicles are few and far between as can be seen in the video, makes the chances of someone rescuing you slim if you do go over the side. Another issue is speeding drivers on the opposite side, especially around one of the corners, coupled with the fact that when the cliff is on your side of the road makes it easier to go over the edge. Driving slowly and carefully here should always be a top priority.
Thanks for the view and your feedback. Haven't heard of an accident in any of the places you mentioned, but you can Google accidents on the road in the video. The information is not misleading.

If they had gone through Morn La Croix to Blanchiceasseuse you would have seen the true danger ous spots that you can get stranded at
would that road on the left when reaching the Madamas road sign take you to Lopinot?
You are Quite correct! But in the rainy season it may be best to go with a team of 4x4s in case of difficulty. Dry season is still iffy though. 💯👍

There are many levels to rate, but in terms of terrain, this route is really dangerous. Mostly hidden danger. 🙏👍
