Nothing in the boss's backstory has anything to do with stands, the point is that his entire existence is like some kind of error in reality, eating away at everything around it.

I like the theory that even tho the backstory we're given of the boss has some truth to it it's mostly myth, his identity and past have always been buried so it would make sense for legends of him to come up

The issue of Stands talking vs. not talking to each other is clearly just in how the stand develops. Like in Trish's case, it's her building the courage in herself to act, and they needed that dialogue through the stand to gain that. Koichi's the same, but I feel like his Stand is like a separation of his demeanour and confidence. Also, it might also be the fact that Koichi didn't have a fighting spirit to begin with and that grew with him having a Stand, so the development of his Stand growing with him.

But there are special cases like surface(the pupet from pt4) it talks with the user sometimes. Or anubis or cheap trick which outgrew its user.
@@fanatomic24 I think Cheap Trick is an extreme case of something like Echoes and Spice Girl, where the Stand developed an ego that was *too* removed from its user, due to the latters inability to realize his own power
Anubis and Surface both were Stands who manifest as an actual physical object that can be seen by anyone, so that's prolly why they had egos seperate from their users
@@kaialone I personally think some stands are semi-sentient, in echoes and spice girls case they were only "sentient" until their users recognized their power, like you said, but there's also stands like Wonder of U and GER, Wonder of U was able to be seen by people and was able to speak to them without their user speaking for them tho it's still a stand, not a separate person, but that's my theory
22:20 part 5 is like Araki learned some new tricks from part 4 and wanted to remake part 3. "The Boss" is very telling of that, he has Dio's arrogance and ambition (being a Mafia boss and all that) and Kira's murderous streak and obsession with remaining hidden so he can live his criminal life freely. It's wild to see the series evolving as you progress through the parts
That's the best thing when the show continues but it has different protagonist,
It is clearly visible in yugioh anime where the writer grow alongside the audience and proceed to make the anime more brutal, yugioh evolve from typical "I'm gonna destroy everything" type of story into an actual on screen suicide of the main cast

The fact that Risotto is a 'secondary' antagonist that managed to kinda win the 1v1 against the main, his drip, his voice, his stand use, the fact he's prudent during his fight unlike most villains... This is one of the best non-main villains in shonen period imo
Since we're at the point where it's no longer a spoiler, here's what King Crimson's two part ability is:
1. It can let you see 10 seconds into the future using the sub-stand, Epitaph, on its forehead.
2. It can skip past those 10 seconds of time, which makes its user completely invincible during those 10 seconds, allowing them to reposition for their next attack, since they also can't touch anything _during_ Time Skip.
These two abilities being tied to two different conjoined stands represents Doppio and the Boss's split personality.
And two things to remember: anything that happens during moments King Crimson skips, only The Boss will remember.
AND, anything The Boss would've done done within those 10 seconds will still happen, even without him doing it, if he saw himself moving a cup while looking into the future and skipped past that moment, the cup would levitate over on its own.
What a brutal fight, damn.
And yeah, this moment 0:11 is really nice. One of the best, if not the best, JoJo episodes animation wise

Risotto is probably either my second or third favorite villain in part 5... switching with a certain p.o.s. depending on the day.

Matty (can I call u that?), I just wanna let you know that Epitaph (Eulogy) is not Doppio’s stand like a lot of people assume. It is instead just a sub-stand of King Crimson. The boss just allows Doppio to use it, like how allowed him to use King Crimson’s arms.

12:52 You're thinking of Kira's Sheer Heart Attack, it would say that whenever it would detect someone.
Since the stands are the manifestation of the soul of the user, being related to their desires and fighting spirit. Basically the stand is you and your soul. This can be noted when the user's current feelings are also being expressed on the stand's face, as you can also talk trough your stand. Everything that happens to it, will happen to you (with a few exceptions, like Black Sabbath and Sheer Heart Attack). Some stands have their own separate personalities and can act by themselfs. This would be the result of the user's own toughts on they being not strong enough or the stand itself wanting to help the user. Having 2 stands is kinda of complicated. You can't have 2 stands by no means. There can be only one, but this single one can divide itself acording to the user's petsonality. Like Doppio/Diavolo's case. The two personalities on that body are sooo separeted that the stand itself is separated, but they still are on the same body, Being King Crimson and Epitath.

Diavolo means devil in italian, so he is evil invarnation.
Also Giorno is a son of God (Dio in italian) so basically Golden Wind is a battle between Devil and Son of God.
My admittedly basic understanding of King Crimson is he can see what will happen in the near future, up to 10 seconds ahead and he can "erase" that time period by his ability to predict and move around during this time frame. The outcome is ultimately the same as what was predicted to happen but because he reacted to it, he is able to avoid attacks and to attack others immediately after this moment in time.

the assassin team probably would have killed trish after finding out what they needed from her and would still keep the drug route coming in the similarities between brunos team and the assassins only line up in defeating the boss after that they would likely have a power struggle because brunos whole reason to get Gionro in the gang was to get the drugs off the streets by eventually meeting the boss and defeating him. the assassin team was perfectly fine in letting the drugs keep running through the streets. hell when we get the frits flashback about them Giacho is complain that the drug branch was getting more money then they were for performing hits
