Adventures in Taos, NM | Tapestry weaving and hiking in Mabel Dodge Luhan's footsteps

Come with me on an adventure to Taos, New Mexico. I went to teach a tapestry weaving retreat at Mabel Dodge Luhan House. I bring you along on a hike searching for the old route up from the Rio Grande river that Mabel Dodge Luhan would have taken in 1917. You'll get a feeling for what my tapestry retreats are like, eat some ice cream at Taos Cow, and visit Taos Wools.

So beautiful. I was there last March for the first time and I'm just dying to go back. All that I saw of NM was incredible. Very different from the very wet, cold, dark and lush place I am most of the time.

A wonderful video Rebecca. What a magical area. Some very fine weavings too. Here in Australia it is well and truly summer. In Ballarat, Victoria it is nearly 40 degrees C and bush fires have been forecast. We have emergency bags packed with clothes and weavings, just in case we have to leave!!

I think I was at Mabel DL for an art retreat the week before you were. It snowed the week I was there, so I did not have much fun (I hate snow). The food was excellent!
