And once I played a casual match against a batman main. Since he brought out his main, I did so also. The game was just too fun. All though I lost, I texted him GG because that match was fun. Just tested this out and I'd like to thank you Gleez. I have to admit I didn't even think the controllers had these options. This also cleans up combos too as now you get to control what specials you do. Proof of this is I just had a match with that lvl 20 boss super girl and finally beat her.
should i use the dpad or analog stick for the moves? i feel like the dpad is better for precision but the analog stick is so much better for movement but the stick keeps on giving me special moves that i dont want lol
Now I use batman quite a bit. My problem is, during a combo I'll always get false input for the air grapple line. This causes me to be open to my opponent every time. Will this strategy work for that character too? Thanks for the awesome video.
John Evans it might. when does the input happen? what are you doing as it comes out? if you are crouch blocking and hitting F1 after and it comes out then yes

This actually helps for xbox because currently doing a v < > X Is a pain in the ass cuz of how the controller is. If your hand is in the most natural position it's almost impossible to go back, forward because will just go diagonally most of the time.

Do you have negative edge/release check on? This checks your special move input after you release your button as opposed to when you press the button. This option has been fucking up my combos in every game that has it.
Prather Studios lmao i realize i never actually gave a solution. If you want to have the special move come out as soon as u press the button, turn release check off, thats what ive been using since IGAU and it feels more consistent with every other fighting game i play
With Joker whenever I block low by holding down and try to quickly press back 1 for the quick little foot stab, he sometimes likes to throw out the gas canister. Going to have to give this a try, see if it helps.
@anthonycarranza5123 Actually that really depends on which is comfortable with your left thumb I find it harder to perform special moves with the left d-pad but if you use the left thumbstick you can easily perform special moves very easily and I have been playing fighting games with the left thumbstick my whole life I just simply can't go back to using a d-pad😢
I've literally had that problem since like forever and especially with hellboy I was trying to make his command grab into a back triangle triangle his air grab came out instead of his command grab
Okay, after watching this video several months ago I permanently switched to alternate control, but I still struggle with it. The main problem is the back forward inputs (now with the diagonals and down). I'm not horrible at it, but sometimes I'll mess up my input, and that's especially problematic when I'm trying to do a wake up or a reversal that would shift the momentum of the match into my favor if I could execute it 100% of the time. Another little issue is back forward projectiles, like Firestorms fireball. Sometimes I miss one of the diagonals, or the down, or I just press the attack button before I finish putting in the directions (which is the easiest problem for me to fix). The hard part is when I'm in game, and I have to do my diagonal inputs immediately if I want to catch my opponent with it. I have to be really quick, so that's why I miss one of the directions sometimes. If I wanted to play Deadshot, I would have a hard time doing his back forward 1 in a tight succession from one shot to the next without leaving a frame gap in order to get the next one out faster. That problem isn't super problematic for me, because I main the Flash, but because I main the flash my biggest problem right now is reversals. If an opponent is out of range after a hard attack, I want to lightning punch them right after, but that isn't easy against some characters, like Deadshot's back 1, 2, up 3. For some reason that one is harder for me to do as opposed to say Black Manta's forward 2, 1, 3. I have to practice doing reversals against every character, because it's that hard for me to do against someone. I've managed to overcome some other problems, like down pokes into back forward (Manta ray) or back down (Firestorm's molten trap) back special moves. I figured out if I press back, diagonal before I do my poke then all I have to do is the last half of the input. Instant airs that involves back forward special moves are really hard too. I just wanted to mention everything I struggle with just in case there's any advice anyone could offer for any of the troubles I'm experiencing.
Yes if you have iPad OS 13 all you have to do is go into your iPad Bluetooth settings grab your DS4 controller press and hold the share button and PS home button at the same time your DS4 controller light bar will start flashing which indicates it's in pairing mode it will show up in your iPad Bluetooth settings as wireless controller as soon as you pair the controller to your iPad it will have a solid blue light the only downside is your DS4 controller will never turn off by itself unless you hold the PS home button until your DS4 controller shuts off so please make sure you fully charge your DS4 controller before using it on your iPad have fun playing Injustice 2😊

RisingDarkness I would suggest using the dpad. There are two ways to do it. I hit down then just input the rest like normal back, forward special moves. I feel that is easiest. Sometimes I also use a quarter circle backward then hit forward plus the button. Try those out. Let me know how it goes

@@InternetGanstaI think he is referring to his controller input has a massive delay which can happen with some wireless controllers that has a hard time communicating with the console or on PC but I found the best way to avoid the input delay is by using game mode on your TV or gaming monitor

Other fighting games many use stick. I think the thing that matters most is just using the one that feels best for you

I've put in tons of time in the practice arena, and I've never once been able to do it. I have a friend who suspects it's nothing I'm doing wrong, but that playing on a TV screen instead of using a computer monitor is slowing me down in comparison to other Darkseid players since monitors receive & sort the input much faster than a TV can. Is this true? Does the TV screen explain why my Darkseid isn't as quick as other online Darkseid players? Or if not, do you have any tips on how I can finally perform this move successfully?

It works for any character that has a special attack that is Back Forward or Down Forward. If you find special moves come out when you are trying to attack after blocking then it would benefit you. I don't need to use it when I use superman or darksied. I only need it when I use Atrocitus.
How about sometime I will put in something like df2 and get the move for df1! I will even hold on that 2 just to make sure I'm pressing it and I still get the df1 for example! What can I do about that

Hasser 123 I dont know anyone who uses the actual analog stick. Some use fight sticks or arcade sticks though. Most NRS players seem to use the dpad on regular ps4 controllers.

This fixes that as well. As long as you dont roll your inputs the special wont come out. You just will have to go from down to forward immediately.

The dpad actually has 8 directions. The diagonals in between up, down, left, and right also count as individual inputs.
