Hearing a more optimistic view of this show is kinda nice. It's not the most exciting thing, especially since it's a (primarily) kids' show and that feels a little embarrassing but it might just stand on its own and be a dumb fun little thing to watch
and if it turns out to get better then hey, that's great

I'm honestly surprised at how we seemed to have almost the exact same opinions on the episodes (In that we both don't like episodes 1 and 5 but we really liked the others). Especially since you seemed a little harsher on some aspects than I am 😆Overall though, you really brought a lot of the aspects I loved from Chapter 2 to light, and I'm so glad to see a positive review for a change! Especially from someone who still maintains critical skills.

Initially, I was skeptical about MLP G5; mostly bias derived from MLP: FiM coming to a close. Currently, I am well pleased with the development of Make Your Mark.
Misty is fast becoming my favorite character. There is a lot of potential for the writers to develop: Utilizing the somber emotional undertones and a yearning for friendship and a cutie mark to call her own. If only the Cutie Mark Crusaders were still around to help find her mark. Misty’s hair style kind of resembles how the Mylar hair on my MLP plushies become frizzy and mangled from handling them too much.
Sonny Starscout started weak, but she is also growing upon me as a favorite pony. She wants be liked for the content of her character; as opposed to being adorn for her alicorn status. I love how it was remarked that she wasn’t different as an alicorn; rather she was the same as every-pony else: The embodiment of Pegasus, Unicorn, and Earth Pony. I believe it was Izzy Moonbow whom made that remark.
Which brings me to Izzy Moonbow. Perhaps I’m too easy to please, but Izzy is my favorite pony. She is a huge upgrade from Pinkie Pie, whom took her sugar rush escapes way too far. Izzy takes Pinky Pie’s energetic personality and tones it down to a perfect balance. I’ve always felt that Pinkie often barges in on the plot and oft derails the storyline with her hyper antics. Izzy retains that endearing Pinkie fursona without distracting from ongoing development of the story; whilst Izzy still retaining that delirious overtone that Pinkie projects. I really like Izzy Moonbow and I hope the writers continue developing her shenanigans onto perfection; without getting carried away and driving the story down a wild tangent or some distracting rabbit hole…
Speaking of rabbits, Hitch is just average. I don’t dislike him; but he simply lacks that allure which Fluttershy whom I held dearly as one of my favorite ponies from G4. Notwithstanding, there is much potential to develop Hitch into a fantastic character with the new found earth pony magic. I’ll be patient with him and hope for the best.
Zipp and Pipp (I forget last names) : I didn’t like them at first either; though now am growing fond of both characters. I suspect Zipp will become the inspector gadget of the group; and I like where her character development is going. Pipp, well, she is good personification of aspiring internet celebrities striving to make a name for themselves on social media platforms. Guess she would be the future of Rarity if they had smartphones back in G4.
Opaline, while sometimes seemingly generic, is definitely a fun character to watch. A great inspiration to us trying to climb to the top of power and control. Love the stark contrast in that white hair cast upon a sea of violet fur. And the shiny metallic cobalt eye shadow is a nice accent.
All in all, the graphics and texturing are wonderfully rendered. It’s everything I’d expect from a high quality video game; let alone a cartoon. I love the subtle details in the flowing hair and the seeming embroidery and braiding of that birthday gift from Izzy, “Mane-ccessory”.
Sorry I disagree with some of the things that you said, like the music and Izzy Moonbow… but find both very charming. Perhaps your criticism is justified and I’m just the one whom is too darn easy to please. At any rate, I really love MLP: Make Your Mark. It’s fast becoming an epic series.

Yeah, at this point it's impossible to say if that was sarcasm or not. Child trafficking is so in right now.
