- What would you pay for this 1995 2dr Cherokee?
We walked around Great Smokey Mountain Jeep Invasion asking people what they would pay for a variety of Jeeps. These are their answers!

I just bought a 2 door XJ 5 speed with a HO swap from a ‘96. It’s a little rough. But the body is clean other than the cut and rolled fenders. Paid $3k, 4.5” lift, 32” tires. It’s a badass rig!!!
That is so awesome to hear! Great score and I hope you have so much fun with it!
I recently picked up a black 95 xj 2 door, 5spd, 4x4, 4.0 with 200k on it for $2,000 in Colorado. It runs solid, love it.
That's a damn good score! Congrats!!!!
2 door xjs are most common in the junkyard oddly enough. My local yard has probably 6 of them. Difficult to find a clean one here in illinois though.
Still probably only worth 2-3k though, especially as it is the most common variant of a 2 door (base model, 5 speed) having the 4.0 is a bonus though these usually have 2.5s
Both generations of the 2 door cherokee sport are arguably the best looking modern SUV’s ever made. Better than Trooper, Amigo, Bronco, Explorer, 4Runner, Rav4 etc
Agreed but the last generation of Isuzu Amigo (98-02) was one sexy compact SUV.
A man that knows beauty for sure. I have 2 2drs. 1 2X and 1 4X. I would never sell my 4X. It is stock, and staying that way. The 2X will be converted to 4X, and that one will be tricked out big time. 2 doors are the sharpest sportiest looking SUV's ever produced.
@@exionem Yes sir. They are BEAUTIFUL! Hands down second best 2 door look behind the XJ's.
@@gbot3377 i still love looking out the window at work to see it. '00, but it's got musclely/strong lines from Dick Teague and his on-point angular designs, some "older car" vibes with the simple head and taillights, and yet just enough modern touch on it's brick-like body to just make it stand out from near everything on the road today. 4 doors in my area still feel a-dime-a-dozen and the long windows with privacy glass just give it such a sporty feel.
mines coming along nicely , check it out !!
I bought a 1995 two door xj with a manual transmission for 1500 bucks. Has 129,000 mile on it. Introduce me to the guy willing to buy it for 10k 😂😂😂
I have the same thing, 160k miles bought it for $500
This is a cool idea man!
Danny Moore thank you!
There is a company that does videos of their Jeeps mostly the classic Jeep, but they did a couple of Cherokees, they were customize with a lot of offroad items but still street vehicles not straight offroad $28,000.00
Paid $3100 for my 2001 two door 2WD 193xxx from NJ. It’s the crown jewel of my XJ fleet. Gonna do extensive mods on it next year. (242HD, HD clutch fan, 4 port injectors, lift, exhaust, axle swap, rear disc conversion, lights and such. )
Sounds like it's going to be a great build!
I bought a white '88 xj for 1,200 and I love it. Love riding in the sand with that 4 wheel drive.
That’s awesome! Can’t beat a good day outdoors!
Would have been interesting if they had a follow up question of how much they would sell it for...
That’s a really good point! I’ll have to remember that next time we do this!
Love this
Thank you!
I have one that’s a 97 2 door depending on the condition since the value is going up I’d pay 4-45 for one now in 2021
I’ve been seeing prices go up steadily! Good for the sellers, bad for the collectors haha
thing is priceless and indestructible (to me). my 94 is the same colour. 550,000 KM and running strong. i would easily pay 100k for that if they brought it back brand spanking new as is from the dealership. vehicles nowadays are full of junk and created just to be replaced every few years. best comparison is probably mobile phones lol. bring back the old reliables. the old XJ's are REAL jeeps built like a nokia, not an iphone
I could of owned a yj, tj, and I didn't want the jk payment , I'm a xj guy and I love it, I own a 98 4 door 5 speed, and it's a factory 5 speed, I love the space, the off road capability and if your xj is solid make it more solid and you have a jeep for life, people will one regret abusing them and trashing them, it truly is a great vehicle, I've seen these jeep pass right by jk's , and land crusisers and many other 4x4s with no hestation, and they are very practical and simple, i would not want any other 4x4 suv, if i wanted the top down id go for a 2 door jk or a tj . The xj is not a garbage vehicle and the value to me is pricelss, i dont ha e mine to re sell , if somone offered me good money and they wanted it really bad id tell them no. The wheelbase is not perfect for no reason. And mine hauls ass and is extremely fun to play in.
I've owned 3 XJs and loved them all!
I've been having this issue! I got a 1986 with a v6 5speed manual great shape PERFECT interior trying to find out what it's worth?
Depending on the mileage and buyer you could get 5-8,000
I have a 2 door xj 1992 5 speed 4×4
Got a 97 5 speed 4x4 2 door 161k
Even bleepinjeep said 1,000 ha. I paid 1700 for my1997 five-speed two-door
I have a 91 2 door sport 4wd 4.0 5 speed
Congrats!
@@SevenSlotSociety thanks
I want that for my first car
Older Jeeps always need work, but they are very fun to own! I had a 1995 and and ruined the motor :(
Got one that's been my 1st and only and don't regret it. Like S.S.S. said, they tend to need work, especially now that the youngest have hit the 20yr mark, but they're easy to work on, even yourself. Crawl under with no problems for your oil, jack it up with relatively easy view of anything underneath, plenty of people in the community who could change the crankshaft position sensor for you (🤣🤣🤣), and plenty of space for hauling stuff. Mine got me to and from college with all my belongings all 4 years and continues to be my daily driver. Maintenence, some freshening up of components, and mine starts quicker and easier than nearly any newer car i've riden in.
Hahaha a bag of Doritos. Funny shit. I’d say 3k
That's where I would probably be at as well. I'd probably hit em with $2500 at first haha
SevenSlotSociety well heck yeah I’m saying to dollar I’d pay . i used to go through trucks fairly often up until I got the jeep and my current diesel pick up I would’ve probably started at 2k haha
I also have a 1995 2d XJ 5 speed :)
Never sell it!
@@SevenSlotSociety just pulled it out of retirement last Monday to get a total make over, haha besides I've had it this long I'm never selling it.
My old boss is trying to sell me a '94 XJ 4.0 l automatic two-door they want 500 bucks for it all I got to do we believe is replace the fuel pump...good deal?
The fuel pump is a pain in the ass job, but for $500 I, personally, would buy it.
I have a 1989 2 Door Jeep Cherokee XJ Pioneer 4x4 that has factory silver tint on the rear side window and a vented section unlike this one here. One guy came up to me and said, "I know you probably aren't selling her, but I'd offer you 8,000 if you did." And of course I told him NFS but even my sell price would be around $12,000. The color on mine is a silver which is very very rare and much nicer than this green.
Sounds like a beautiful Jeep!!!
@@SevenSlotSociety As a follow up to this comment I made 7 months ago.. a guy recently came up and offered $12,000 cash which I declined again... I love my 2 door XJ 4x4 and they're going to get more rare.. These people offering low $$ don't know why people are forking out more money these days to buy one and turn into a rock crawler. The 4.0L inline6 is a damn good engine and the vehicle hardly weighs anything compared to the new Wranglers that are overloaded and weigh 2000 pounds more
@@b4ssfunk3d I also have the same jeep as yours any way to see photos of yours?
@@moteros_garage6522 sure man I'll PM you photos
I have two 2 door Cherokees, paid $350 each, 4.0, 4WD running and driving
Camden Bennett that’s awesome!!
How many miles?
A lot of these people are very unaware of the market
yo....i need to sell my xj to the dude in the JKS shirt NOW.....
I have a 88 2 door xj 5 speed 4.0 with 127000, how much is that worth?
Probably $3-4000 depending on the condition and other factors.
Can some one tell me how much mine is worth?
2 door 87 cherokee cheif, so it has the dana 44 out back.
200k miles
Some rust
4x4
4.0
5 speed manual
Tampa fl
If you DM some photos to one of our social media accounts, we can give a better answer. It’s hard with no photos😁
The 44 is worth a lot alone
mines super clean ... don't think I'd sell it . check it out!
Could you tell me how much mines worth (edit: it's stock)
1996
19,900 miles
Red
2 door
4.0
4sp auto
4x4
Johnstown, Pennsylvania
It's impossible to tell without photos, but I would say 3k if it's rust-free and I was in the market.
@@SevenSlotSociety if u guys have a social media I'll send you a pic

How can I tell if my XJ is a 2 door or a 4 door? 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bought my first, and still only car, '00 2 door, 4.0 4wd auto, PA car, 1 owner and just under 120k back in 2014 at around $3900. Granted it needed tires, inspection, and the family needed to sell it cause they had 2 kids (which i know understand their troubles getting them in the back seat). just under 180k now and the only thing that's been going on her are suspension parts due to age and a couple rust spots in the usual places. She was at least a 5k car when i bought her and still said worth about 4.5k.
Feel like near any of the guys who didn't want to pay for it are all jk fanboys 🙄
That sounds like you got a good deal! I'd love to have my old two-door back!
10,000 bruh I pay 4 grand for mine but it a rock crawler
payed 250 for mine
That's a good steal!
2500-3000
Put that thing on bring a trailer, If its clean, 13k easy.
I know a few people that would pay that much for a clean one!
so, eliminatining the OBVIOUS haters, (7) and taking the $10grand back to $7grand. It puts the average value at $4200 for that nonmolested clean XJ. still WAY better than $20 grand for wrangler and an extremely capable offroad foundation. Some love em, some hate em. And no, I'm not interested in your one off wrangler you bought for $1grand.
that's not a bad price for a CLEAN 2 door in my opinion
5000€
My brother got a free one 200000 miles
how bad was it?
I got mine for 500 Bucks
That’s a steal!!!!!
bullshit i just bought one for $300.00 no rust runs v6
You found a V6 2 door?
sure a lot of clowns making bids here
Aren't all Jeep owners some variation of clown? HAHA
Why is bleeping jeep so low? He lost credibility with me
He’s probably bought and sold more Jeeps than I’ll ever own haha!
