      I am not sure, but I believe it is a steel frame. The body shell is plastic.

      @@Rothstein_Model_Trainssir, I was thinking that if the body shell is made of plastic, is it weak, will it break if it falls?
      I'm afraid of that if it fall it will obviously break into pieces 😞. That's my i take care of them.

      I have had some problems along those lines. I have dropped some, or had them fall off the table when they derailed. The main body usually does not break, but some of the small attachments like the side railings might. I keep using them anyway, figuring the real ones get damaged in crashes too. The worst damage I had was one that dropped and the front set of wheels broke. Kato sells replacement parts and a new truck cost me about 25.00. So, yes they may break but they are completely repairable.

      Yes, after too many falls my diesel loco side railings are not completely broken but they look so uneven. I am happy with that and I will repair it later on . Thankyou very much sir for giving your precious time 🐙.
