This is super similar to my 2017 340i RWD 6MT. It’s an amazing commuter car. It’s fast, has adaptive shocks for comfort and sport mode, has M Power and Sound Kit exhaust, 355 hp, 30 mpg on the highway. It’s an amazing car. It’s easy to work on, too.

Thank you for bringing up the RWD vs. AWD argument in these cars. If you have snow, just slap on some winter tires. The AWD isn't worth it in my mind. Like you said, the steering feel is worse, there's more power loss, and the whole car just feels clunkier. This is apparent in the current gen BMWs, but it was especially apparent in the E90s.
I think I would still prefer AWD since these don't have a LSD. With AWD sure theres more power loss but it could actually put it down under wet/slippery conditions
Really depends on what you’re after. At some point you’ll be better off with awd and it’s pretty good for an awd system. It can be easily coded to rwd or more rear biased than it already is. Stock can only send a max of 50% to the front if ever needed, but can and will typically send more to the rear. I prefer rwd, but you don’t sacrifice too much with xDrive. When your car is making over 600hp, i’ll take xdrive
@@sshah2545 it’s got almost 75,000 miles on it I had a friend who had over 100,000 the reliability is great common problem on the car are cracked charge pipe which is only $250 to buy a aftermarket metal one so it won’t break again and lastly leaking gaskets mainly oil filter housing gaskets and around 100,000 miles the head gaskets I did the oil filter housing gaskets for about $100-150 myself there is RUclips videos on how to fix the gaskets as well as charge pipe the car uses the n55 engine which was bmw first engine they prioritize reliability the previous set of engine know as the n54 could push more power after market but was prone to breaking haven’t had such problems with the n55 I would say 400 Hp is the sweet spot for this car it comes 300 stock and all you need is charge pipe, downpipe, Inter cooler and a tune to get to 400 still neither me or my friend who run 400 Hp on it daily have had any issues with extra maintenance there is a lot of specs and packages that come with the car so do your research before you buy to make sure you get all you want in the car if you have anymore questions feel free to let me know

Yeah agreed. Stock these dyno at 270 and an ethanol tune with a fuel pump should put this at over 400 wheel. I’m assuming this was measured on a mustang Dyno
@@TheTopher Even with wheel horsepower, the car is rated at 300 HP by BMW... We all know BMW is known for underrating horsepower numbers. I drove a friend's F30 335i when it was still stock, and it felt like all of 300 wheel horsepower to me.
For sure, my 2016 328i was the last gen of BMWs open deck N20 engine rated at 240 hp 255 tq but even 2012s were showing around 230whp and 265ish wtq. With the revisions to the ZF8 auto it should even be a bit higher to the wheels. No way power loss is that massive with the 6 speed
i have a 6 speed manual 435i m sport . 6 cylinder also, your car is the same as my car. but you say twin turbo ? i believed only the M4 model had the twin turbo V8, wheras these cars have the twin swirl single turbo, on a straight 6 engine. slip of the tongue when you say twin turbo ?
Love the car, but I wish bmw offered the upgraded tech packages standard on cars like this. That gauge cluster and screen are the most basic bmw offers.
I had one of these but 2014 with the 8 speed auto. Sold it after 10 months when the charm wore off and moved into a 2013 M3 coupe. For me the 435i was a nice car, but just too soft. Floaty suspension (M adaptive), quiet engine/exhaust with M performance exhaust, brake modulation very high and soft, and totally dead steering Perhaps the mods on this one made it better than my stock example, but stock to stock my outgoing G37S was a better driver's car.

@@ishaqballut6839 absolutely. It’s a good auto in a market flooded with good autos. Hyundai/KIA’s 8spd, GM/Ford’s 10spd, FCA’s autos, any other manufacturer using the ZF. All good... all basically the same. The manual is where it’s at if you want a special car.
I'm really surprised it only makes 375whp with those mods, my wrx can make the same power out of a 2.0L with similar mods. I'd still take the BMW, I'm not a fanboy by any means I just thought it would make a lot more power. Is this an N55?
