Hey bro, I picked up my first B.C. Rich & mine has the same tremelow as yours (the one you showed in this video-black with red banding) I was not paying attention when I removed the strings & the tremelow fell off & then I noticed that, some of the ramp shaped risers or whatever their called, some face the opposite direction! The e, a, d, g string all have the flat facing down & the B & high E have the flat side of the ramp facing up. Which way are they facing on your Warlock?

Can someone tell me if the single knob, one bridge humbucker models should be cheaper or more expensive than the 2 knobs, 3 way switch, two humbuckers? I’ve seen people pricing both the same
The model name & quility of pickups would amke a difference. So for instance the guitar in playing in the video is a warlock, & has a neck & a bridge pickup. While the son of the beast only has a bridge pickup. Pric would determine on model, avali, condition & whether or not the pickup(s) were stock or modified.

Hey Dash, I ended up getting the SOB Avenge instead of the Warlock. I wanted the Average instead of the Warlock, I just didn't have the cash for the prices I would find. I got lucky & found one in great condition at an amazing price so I was able to get exactly what I wanted instead of settling for a Warlock. Thank you for your videos

excellent review as ever, i wanted to get this but it was beyond my financial limits, non the less great axe..

I've been considering adding a BC Rich guitar to the collection, but I had a bad experience with a Warlock.
I don't know if it's just the warlock I used but the neck angle and the height of the bridge with the slim body made for a really weird playing experience.
I enjoyed playing the Mocking Bird, but that was a HEAVY guitar and you couldn't play it sitting down without removing some ribs prior.
But, I will say, whilst I'm a fan of unpainted/natural necks (I literally take a razor to my guitars necks then sand them to remove the paint...Gets sticky during extended sessions otherwise), I find the finish on the Dean Z 79's series (Flamed maple etc) rather nice. It has to be a very special paint job to entice me.
It's all down to preferences and all preferences are personal and to taste though.
I might have to go try out a BC Rich.
Question; other than the inlays and the painted neck, are there any actual differences between the stock standard and platinum series?
Also, I'm looking for a set neck or a through neck BC Rich if anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful.

i do listen to punk/metal/and rock and figured this would be good to get that certain sound but i’m not sure. wondered what your opinion was on which guitar is best and comfortable to play, for someone kinda starting out
Comfort depends on the person, not a fan of esp, but if you like the play style & it is comfortable to you, you can always change the pickups too.
Red bat fret markers go great with it!

I have a BC rich warlock with red flames. It's the best guitar I have ever played.
Most would say no gloss on the neck is a good thing. Too much gloss makes it feel sticky.

On your tremelow, the flat side of the ramps face upwards towards the neck on your low E & A strings but, your dgbe appear to have the flat side of the ramp face downwards. I would honestly think that with lower 3 strings have ribbing & the upper 3 strings do not that maybe 3 face up & 3 face down but, mine is 100% backwards compared to yours! My low E, A, D, G string have the tremellow ramps with the flat facing down & my B & high E string have the flat part of the ramp face up. Wtf? Makes me wonder how it's supposed to be??? Personally, I love that you repetitively lifted the guitar giving a great veiw of the trem! Thanx bro!

Yes. As long as you have the cord & the amp it will work. The amp might not sound like my amp but the guitar will work with any amp

If you do put a strap on it, make sure it is reliable. If you dropped it, it would probably amputate your foot before it exploded into a fireball.

My platnium series has a 4th switch for coil wrap , but I bought mine in 1994 almost 25 years I've had rhe beasty bitch , I played Ibanez before that . Not sure what type of wood mine is but its a heavy guitar thats for damn sure .
I love the sounds and big frets, but mostly remembering that moment 25 years ago plugging it in and playing looks that kill by motley crue to emulate Mick Mars , priceless.

@mr.jurassic3612 its not best for stuff on the neck near the pickups due to the design. Kinda keeps your hand movemnt minimal because the horn sticking out. Not impossible but something that you'll have to adjust to. But if you get a nice set of Seymore dunckin pickups & a nice pedal or amp you'll be golden.

I just found one in a pawn shop and got it for $150 tax included. Its clean and not banged up. No screws are stripped. Its awesome. Sounds killer plays amazing. Id ont give a damn where its made. Its awesome.

Hard to tell. Does it say NJ series, bronze series, or just bc rich on the headstock?
@@dashcool2955 It just says BC Rich and says Warlock on the truss rod cover. Not Bronze, NJ or Platinum. Made in China. I just dropped it off at my techs. Hes replacing all electronics. Upgrading pots. Guitar jack. Selector switch.
It might be from the 80s or early 2000s. That's the only time they wouldnt have labled the headstocks. & thats awesome, are you gonna change the pickups as well? Check out the seymore Duncan invader

Hello amigo. Try Checking Guitar Center or EBay for a lefty. Pretty sure they don't make lefties anymore Unfortunately. I bought my lefty Warlock N.J. series brand new in 2002. Only available in black. Friggin awesome guitar. Powerful pickups, huge sound. Hope you find one 👍

Somebody gave me a 'Bronze Series" B.C. Rich. She is very well set-up, plays beautifully (like all Indonesian Cort guitars), but she is so hideously BUTT UGLY that I can only play her in a very dark room wearing dark glasses (welder's #8), with my eyes closed. I thought she would easily walk away with first prize in the ugly contest, since she looks like she fell out the ugly tree, and hit every branch on the way down, but then I saw the Warlock Series. The Warlock exudes hideous danger from her scorpion head to her arachnoid body.
Warlock "musicians" evidently attribute everything obnoxiously unpleasant to be the essence of their "music", so this is surely the guitar for anyone who tortures small animals, bangs their head bloody while slobberingly screaming arcane "death threats(?)" while playing totally unrelated chord "sequences" at volumes to awaken most of the residents of the cemetery on the far side of town.

Nothing is more serious than the god-awful screaming, head-banging and ear-splitting racket of "metal." I thought I was going to watch this entire review until the "noise-that-gives-guitar-a-well-deserved-bad-name" and the screaming started, then I couldn't find the mute button quickly enough to save my hearing.

Cheap doesn't mean shit, there comes a point when the price difference on a guitar only matters if you plan on taking it on a brutal world tour, record studio music or are looking for a fine piece of art. Even then there are some cheap guitars that can do all those things but you will never know if you don't pick them up and play them
