this honestly resonates with me, as my interpretation of dustdust was always that he was like dust, but because of some event, he ended up being able to jump between universes, harnessing the determination he gained from a stolen soul to permanently destroy them. in other words, he isn't dustdust because he's dust but he was able to go back through the game a second time with his love intact... he's dustdust because he's a dust that kills other universes, and by extension, kills other dusts. this captures that feeling of multiversal dread perfectly. "it's kill or be killed in this multiverse... I'M SIMPLY FOLLOWING THROUGH."

Holy shit this is so damn good, it somehow gets all the parts of dustdust itself so good and the music kinda explains how dustdust is, plus at 0:59 it becomes literally so damn good, i do not how to explain it but this is the best fitting music for a character itself, literally a banger too
Looking back on v1 this feels more like a desperate attempt to not die, you can really hear the agony, while v2 is more like a more stable sinister battle
