Reminds me of my Sport mazda 6 2017 August which I was forced to scrap in August this year to replace with a brand new cx30 for my wife. Surely nothing like 19 inch wheels shorter wheelbase to cater for a larger boot of the wagon, and the touring grade. But essentially the 6 is a marvel of a car having kept its shape since 2013.
Great Drive!! Love all the Mazda's that you tested so far! It would be interesting and wonderful to see the Skyactiv-X 186ps Mazda 3/ Mazda CX-30 how will they be around your usual route
Wow this the most tyre screeching rally like drive I’ve seen you do going up Genting. It’s a testament to your skills and the car’s handling. I love the way you overtake bikes from the outside and this puts you on the inside for the next corner and they automatically have to concede. Btw this 3rd gen model has been with us for 10 years! Any chance of persuading Bermaz to bring in the 2.5 turbo as a limited edition swan song before they discontinue the 3rd gen please? 🙏
They need to replace the infotainment system, as they did on the CX-5. The steering wheel is fine. I actually prefer it over the one in the 3, and I do own the new 3.
I'm planning on getting the 3 too. What's not to like about the steering wheel?. I felt like it has a nice girth (not too thick to desensitize the steering feel) and classy button.
@@abuhurairahmohdisa Everything is in order, the steering wheel is fine, though a bit too thin for my liking. I’d also prefer it to be a little smaller. The buttons, however, are perfectly well-made and intuitively done.
Love this mazda 6 even the model b4 this. Its just so beautiful. And of coz great drive from u up to the hill. Btw 0.06 theres a red car at the rear of mazda6 in this vid. May i know what brand is that? Thank you sir
Im blown away. How can a D segment car handle so superb n sublime? This is even better than the already amazing Mazda 3 handling. Where's the physics n inertia?
I think it is in the balance of the weight and the power train, plus the handling dynamics. That is part of the Zoom Zoom philosophy built into every car by passionatr car people.
im a owner of M6 2.0 , 2 things i dislike the most , turning radius too small it always a problem when doing parking. the brake pedals is another story , either too soft or it comes too hard.
You don't drive at high revs for long trips. The Mazda6 is and has always been a joy to drive. The final drive is long rnough to give you an enjoyable drive in relative quiet amd provide exvellent fuel economy.
@@vladmihai306u cant compare turbo with na. turbo is new technology while na is old technology. and na is still win in some department such as long term reliability and engine sound.
@@vladmihai306as some people have commented both engines are different characteristics. This is NA while your 1.8tsi has turbo. Say what you want but there is no replacement for displacement. I will and always prefer bigger cc’s for highway cruise. Sometimes it’s also quite annoying having to explain this people who lacks understanding.
@@nigelchong9160 it's all about preference, sure. Dinamically wise a turbo engine has a lot more usability in low revs and that is where you drive 95% of the time.
this is still one of the most underrated d-segment includes the camry 😍💖

Love my Mazda 6! Been driving it for the last 10 years 😍
Racing pilot grandpa nails it again :)
The way you cut the apex at speed in a public road is simply outstanding! Is it possible to install camera to show how you manage the pedals? 😊

How much?
How does CX 30 handle in comparison? My initial impression is far less capable.

Cx-30 genting run plss
Wonderful driving skill
One of the most underrated and under appreciated car ever!
Absolutely!

Like the car so much! Looks great!

This is the latest upgrade with ADAS and wireless charger.
Let’s have the 2.5 turbo which is available in other markets
Legend 👌
one day for sure...
A Genting run like this surely cleared all the carbon deposits in the engine. Need it at least once a month to keep the heart healthy.
Must get one
This car is agile in the corners! I guess must be the driver that made the difference 😂
The only thing i would want to change in this car is the newer steering wheel from Mazda 3 / CX30. That wouldve make it almost perfect

@YSKhongDriving do u have a video for driving up genting using m6 2.0?
I dont think so - we have the 2.5 only
Planning to get 2nd hand. 2021 mazda 6 2.0 or vw passat 2020? Which one more comfortable?
Both are good picks.
Imagine in Mazda put the new 3.3 litre engine and transmission from CX-60 to the Mazda 6. I wonder how fast it will go.....
Might be too heavy

Heard that there are reliability issues with the 2.5 skyactiv engines, does it plague this latest model as well? Any current owners can share?
So far we have not heard anything of the sort.
I have 2.5l g192 for 6 years, 140000 km, zero issues.
Haven't heard issues with NA 2.5. have heard of issues though with 2.5 Turbo and cracked heads.
yes there is.. best place to ask is to ask the mazda sc mechanic iteself.. 2.5 and 2.5t still has the head cracking issue..
Dear Mr YS Khong, between this Mazda 6 vs Toyota Camry dynamic force facelift, which one would you prefer in terms of drivability etc? Cheers.
Very tough call, as both have their good points.
What’s the advantages of turning off the traction control
So the car can do what I want it to do.
Can you let us know the price please 🙏
RM240,848
legend car. if can get around 130k then its a very good buy.
It's goodbye, you mean, if you expect to buy this car new at RM130k 🤣
At some point you become too good at driving to own a camry so you need to level up to this
im a owner of M6 2.0 , 2 things i dislike the most , turning radius too small it always a problem when doing parking. the brake pedals is another story , either too soft or it comes too hard.
You mean turning radius too long? It is a long car.
i think the correct term is caster angle, the angle is not big enuf so when doing parking its a pain.
The engine is quiet
while i do like aspirated engines, i don't like that they have to rev a lot in order to get some power from them, becoming tiring in long trips.

A bit long in tooth uncle, didn't u think so?Camry is more powerful with 8 speed aisin and Mazda soldier on with a 6 speeder.
I serioullsly do not tbink there is any necessity for a transmission that has more than 6 speeds.
That's just a numbers thing that means nothing in the real world.
very nice car but needs facelift or a whole new body design since long time
But it looks great already!

No, just fwd
