I don’t know about US roads but here most roads are pretty much perfect so I must say the government using the tax money well. About every 5years all roads gets new asphalt. Wintertime brakes down the surface quite fast so cracks and holes grows really fast if left unattended. I guess traffic is a lot less also than California also
