Absolutely loved the way Tex has gone about his footy this year. Watching him in past years when he'd get the yips kicking for goal my heart went out to him knowing he was better than that. The most exciting times I've enjoyed is when he swings around onto his left boot and kicks the bejezzus out of the ball I sit on edge of the seat glued to the flight of the ball. Watching the Swans (?) game this year when he ran down defenders for holding the ball so many times man that put a big smile on my face. Tex I hope we get to see you play for a couple more years fingers crossed.

For me, Tex has been the beating heart of Adelaide for years. The passion, loyalty and complete commitment he's shown to this club has been something you just don't see anymore. A player playing for his club, his jumper and his mates and not for a paycheck. Tex is a rare soul that we may not see for a long time again. Have been a huge fan of his for years and had the pleasure of meeting him once very briefly away from anything footy related and he's such a genuine, down to earth guy. He is what a footballer should aspire to be.

I called it at the end of last year he would come out fighting this year, shows the character and person he is. Has always loved the club, plus he's a Broken Hill boy. Absolute Legend Tex.

I hope this isn't a sign that his career is coming to an end this year... It's hard to imagine a crows team without him in it. That's how much impact he's had on the club, at least from my perspective. I imagine other crows fans might feel the same.

Hate the Crows as a club by default being from Perth but nothing but respect for Tex and the way he's grown up under the spotlight and never made excuses, he really stood up as a leader during a terrible time at the club, undoubtedly a great player but I'd argue his legacy as a leader and friend to a lot of his teammates is even more important. Seeing the regard that his peers hold him in, hard not to like the bloke. Good on ya mate 👍🏻
