Thank you for not being like every single cringey “Tacoma Vlogger” and posting a 20 minute video with ads and just giving the people what they need. The world needs more people like you!
Everything was perfect in this video. The lack of unnecessary talking, yet in-depth instructions. What exactly to get, how to do it. And the backflip at the end IN BOOTS topped this all off
Finally someone that’s not an idiot. THANK YOU SIR. I watched 3 videos and 2 of them didn’t even take out the oil pan plug just the drained from the filter. Idk if that’s ok but I know it ain’t right. And they took 20 minutes to explain how to undo 2 bolts. I know how to change oil I just like to double check what I’m doing because it’s not what I do for a living.
Appreciate the support! I’ve got more coming for sure! Check out the other videos I’ve already posted and let me know what else you would like to see. Next video in the works in front and rear diff fluid replacement.
THANK YOU!! I appreciate all those sharing their experience, but I don’t need to watch oil drain. I needed to know the specifics that make this oil change different and you nailed it-just like the back tuck! Carry on!
Thank you for getting straight to the point and none of the extra nonsense also i really appreciate how you show up close where the oil filter gasket has to sit. I will be subscribing to your channel 👍
YES! THANK YOU! Please so one for the Diffs and the T Case next! They look easy enough but all the videos I’ve watched have left out part numbers and size of sockets blah blah blah! You’re legit and I’d love to follow a 2ish minute (yet thorough) guide for those other big 3 fluid changes
Thank you! I have an '07 Tacoma and a 22'. Changing the oil in the 07 was a breeze. This '22 is a messy shitmess, goddamn. especially with the TRD skidplate. oil fucking everywherre
Ha! I'm watching this video and adding up part prices to do it myself for the first time for my '21 TRDPro. I'm like, how much the dealer charging me for oil change and tire rotation again... 🤔
My 2021 tocoma trd needed no cover removal, stripped my damn socket bit trying to take my cover off, my pops shows up and is like you don’t need to take that part off 😂 hardest part for me was getting the oil filter off bc I bought the wrong socket for it and ended up using the cheapest wrench with about a half inch of turn room to remove it but now I know how to do it and this video helped
Thanks for the straight forward tutorial! Thumbs up on the backflip lol. I wasn't expecting that! A Fumoto valve would definitely make oil changes easier.
Very nice. Quickly covers all the important things. People don't like the filter element but I honestly thought it wasn't difficult doing the first oil change on my 2020. It's just different than spin on.
I spent years working on my parents Sienna with the same 2 part filter without knowing THATS what it was for. Never got it to work right, but you made it look too easy on the Tacoma so fingers crossed.
Can you show how to lift the Tacoma for oil change for hefty guys like me can’t fit. Best place to lift and put stands for oil change on 2020 Tacoma sr thanks
Great video honestly I don’t usually comment but seeing this video compared to other , huge difference thanks now I just have to figure out how to reset with push to start
Wish someone made an adaptor so you could use a normal oil filter that new style is way over engineered ,just like the new gas cans.Supposed to get better with time not worse
This is also the exact same process for 5th gen 4Runners, parts and everything (filter might be slightly different, but exact same style with the cartridge and o-rings, and I think it's 6.6L of oil)
Great video showing the process in just two minutes. My 2021 pro takes me just about 2 minutes in total to perform the whole change. No time elapse trickery or splicing needed. I don’t need many tools either. I use some rhino Ramps, a jug to drain the oil into and that’s it- besides the oil, the filter and a rag. Easy peasy. GREAT JOB. I can’t do the backflip though.
Thank you for the quick video, brother. I was wondering why you did the oil pan before the filter? The only reason I ask is because the other videos I’ve watched show folks doing the filter first. Danke
@@jonpaulbergman6263 I can’t think of a good reason to do one or the other first. I would rather the majority of the oil come out of the pan than have to drain out the filter spot which doesn’t drain as well. But that is a good question.
I'm just here researching in case I buy a Tacoma in the future. An oil filter having its own drainage system, housing, and replacement o-rings sorta threw me off. Not used to that.
@ under my truck right now in Oakland CA! No crush washer in my filter, hade to go buy one. Thanks again for a quick tatorial. I’ve worked on many a cars in the past, but needed advice for this modern shit🤙

If you're a stealership mechanic, don't forget to over torque the ever living piss out of the filter housing for no reason. 🤣

Just did mines and holy f*** they tight the sh*t of mines broke it & bought the aluminum head instead

Spin on filters are much easier.
Honda never fell for these bullshit filters like many manufacturers.
Most Honda's use the same spin on filter.

I definitely prefer spin on filters.
Toyota began experimenting with these about 15 yrs ago but have returned to using spin on filters on most models.

That's what he said but mine didn't.
Maybe only some brands (his was a Toyota filter).
