I don't eat them very often but on a nice summer day they are great and make you feel like a kid again.
I have a stock on hand (in the freezer) year round, at all times. They are one of my comfort "foods". It don't matter what happens during a day, if I can have a popsicle or 3 when I get home, everything is good. I don't like being out so I always get more when I'm at the store whether I need them or not. If I'm broke and have to choose between popsicles or anything else, popsicles win. Unless it's gas money to get to work because if I miss work, I will have a struggle to get anything besides more popsicles. No lie, true story...
If I wake up in middle of night with a dry throat I will have half a pop. I do this year round and it soothes my throat and cools me down.

50 years ago every summer I ran a similar machine to make money for college. It only made 8 in line and used calcium chloride solution instead of salt water to freeze the pops.

When did they have white pops
They are a specialty item, not included in the big discount store packages that I've ever seen. One commenter said they were sugar free, maybe they are good for that market because they disguise the horrible taste of non sugar sweeteners. Goodness I hope I never have to give up sugar, that will make life difficult for me as I am a major sugar junkie. I'm 50 and still hitting it hard so fingers crossed, knock on wood, and all that jazz!

Has to be in the thousands if you including the entire machine. Your better off looking for Ice pop molds, they do the same thing their just more compact and cheaper

@@mighty6588 Those ones you use in a regular freezer don't make them right. The key to a great popsicle is super fast freezing, it makes the ice crystals much smaller and that's how the popsicles are suppose to be, smooth. When you make them in a home freezer they are hard and crunchy like ice cubes, not ideal for popsicle lovers. They have a device that you freeze prior to putting your popsicle juice into that speeds up the freezing process but it only makes 4 at a time and you can only use it twice before it needs to be re-frozen. That would not support my popsicle appetite and I'm just a single guy lol.

Walmart has root beer and banana, 2 flavors in the bag. I love the root beer ones but not the banana so I have to give those away or they'll sit in the back of the freezer until they become scary unrecognizable ice crystal looking things that I have to hazmat up for to get rid of lol.
very cool! i was wondering how they stay frozen thru the packaging process until they get to the freezer ? it must be temp controlled and cold where the packaging takes place🤷🏻♂️ America has the best engineers, mechanics and machine operators in the world! i worked in a factory most of my life at Kodak and a box factory and man we had some outdated packaging equipment there lol

When it comes to manufacturing popsicles [or anything really] I'm curious how they know how many to produce without ending up with too much or not enough product. Based on previous sales? But what about an item like a specific model10.1 inch Tablet? What if it doesn't sell as well as expected - they may get stuck with thousands that no one wants??
That's when you find them deeply discounted at places like Costco and then on down to Big Lots etc. They have other ways too, mail order catalogs, yes they still do exist, they also do promotions and "giveaways" or throw them in as "prizes" or "freebies" with other products. Retail marketing has many many gimmicks and games, they rarely lose anything except to theft.

There weren't in the commercial discount packages, they are a specialty item. One commenter said they were sugar free, maybe they disguise the awful taste of artificial sweeteners better, pina colada I believe they said they were.

Those cheap- all in a plastic bag Popsicles are terrible . 🤮 Compared to something like Schwan's twin pops 😊
We're not all fortunate enough for those or things like the Mexican ones and cheap popsicles are just fine for most of us. The only ones I don't care for are the yellow ones because they are banana flavored. I love real bananas but it's the only fruit flavor that I can not stand in any artificial sense, candy, gum, popsicles, etc. If they switched the yellow to lemon, I'd be happy lol The way I go through them, if I were to be snobby enough to only eat Schwanns ones, I'd have to have 3 jobs and never sleep or be homeless. Does Schwanns deliver to homeless people?
