I was laid off back in June and have been struggling to get a new job since. I have a PhD in biochemistry and more than a decade of experience in the laboratory. I've have submitted countless applications, had several dozen recruiter interviews, and a few dozen hiring manager interviews but no offers. I'm treated as worthless.
I feel you. But my phd is in computational chemistry and I can't find anything atm after months. I thought I needed lab experience to get a chance... I might even have to go into teaching 😢
oh we do here where I live , they security guy will ask you to hand him the papers ,it's worse , the sun is melting you , mutiple cabs , you better not be accepted in the least cost .
Don't even get me started. I got a 3rd interview for a call center and because I am so tired, I canceled the interview because I realized I don't want to be attached to a headphone, metrics and etc. The jobs I want and qualify for don't give me a chance and these resume " words," I'm not doing it cause I would have to do it again and again and again.
What that man says is useless because when we apply we will of course apply for something we are qualified for and we will either use them or not apply at all. I mean, if I can use the key words in my cv... I mean cover letter... I will. Does that man even know the difference between a cv and cover letter? What's also horrifying to me is that when you are looking for do long you start to get so desperate that you apply to places where you dont even wanna be, so if you do get hired you might not even last there and the search starts all over.
6 months for me. I have a bachelors degree in cybersecurity and moved to a big city and can’t land an interview for even an IT job. For a field that’s so “in demand”, there’s no demand. I’ve been losing hope this week and crying and sleeping in bed between applying for jobs. I’m actually starting to run out of new jobs to apply for. I hate life
working on my bachelor's in environmental science. i am glad i have job still but it is unrelated to my degree. its crazy cause it is suppose to be stem field. so i would think that there are jobs for me but unfortunately nothing.
@@TLJAWSIMIB That and it's a red flag if they're being legit about it. Employers treat "desperate" employees as a red flag but desperate employers aren't?
I think it's worse now. Stem field degree too. At this point, I'm desperate, like even an IKEA part time store assistant position I'm eager to take, if I get an interview. It's depressing as hell.

Sometimes I wish the government forced companies to hire me. They don't help at all. It got so far that I developed severe depression as and anxiety so now they are going to help me... But I bet it will suck.

Hey, I have a much better and simpler idea than the 'change the keywords on your resume' solution: why don't companies and employers fix their broken hiring system and stop relying so much on shitty applicant tracking software and faulty AI, instead of literally outsourcing the onus onto us, the applicants and job seekers.
A.I. Filtering for jobs should be illegal and considered a form of discrimination

And what exactly are the "keywords " that people should be using, for the AI algorithm to take notice????
Clearly stated in the video: "make sure keywords used in the _job description_ also appear in your resume."
