@@BrannyfordYou probably are already aware that the Japanese and English lyrics are often quite different. This is not just driven by grammar and poetic cadance, but also by theology. In "Jesus Paid It All", for example, the Japanese lyrics have edited out much of the 1850s blood cult language (google is your friend) that remains in the English version and is required to understand "sin had left a crimson stain". They also changed the lyrics significantly from the original published translation of the same hymn in the old Seika published in the late 1960's to do the same thing, shifting the emphasis correctly on not "saving blood" but on a saving Master in the resulting lyrics. Of particular historical interest is also that the relatively new English bridge has also been re-framed into considerably more cogent theology that is consistent with the text of the verses, something rather absent from the English bridge. Overall, the Japanese reworking of the theology is very well done, and is both more orthodox (lower case ) than the English text and, frankly, much more uplifting.
I'm a Japanese Christian in Texas, USA. Born and raised in Japan, but never knew Jesus Christ growing up. I accepted Jesus to my heart back in 2016 in North Dakota and currently reside in Texas serving the local church. This worship music is so encouraging and such a blessing!! Hallelujah!! Wow! I just came back from Japan a few days ago. Met a 74 year old new Christian as we were visiting a tourist spot. I was blessed to meet a Japanese fellow believer in a country with so few Christian. Seeing this YT video and site this morning reminded me that God is also working and saving among Japanese people. God bless you and your ministry.
Japan must be next for great salvation. I am an American, born and raised here. Have achieved a lot of wealth, and experience so much misery and see many of my wealthy peers in depression and hate. Jesus Christ is the only true wealth in this world. Without him we are ALL impoverished and in misery. His peace surpasses all understanding and you can not put a price on your mental peace. Poor people who have love for their family and Jesus in their life are the truly rich ones in the world.

Finally Japanese gospel songs! Perfect replacement for all the anime openings I was once addicted to that gave me the Hikikomori spirit. For a long time, I would be so depressed and unproductive for no good reason. I thought it was 'normal' but one day, the Holy Spirit reminded me of one J-pop song I used to like and put on repeat. I checked the translation in English and realized it was all about suicide. I had spoken such things over my life unknowingly. By listening to J-pop, I opened myself to that strong spirit. I asked the Lord to forgive me, renounced the things I spoke over my life through the songs, and met a Pastor in my church to pray for me. Christ delivered me from it, He can deliver you too.💛 Never forget, Jesus loves you and when you don't feel so, read Psalm 139.

私は昨年洗礼を受け、今妻とともに仙台の韓国系の教会に通っています。妻は敬虔なクリスチャンで彼女の影響で協会に通い始めました。まだ精霊様のお導きは頂いていませんが、教会に行くことが本当に心が癒され罪の許しをお祈りすることが仕事の色々なわだかまりを乗り越える力を与えて下さいます。この賛美を聞きながら聖書を読んでいます。これからのご活躍をお祈り致します。機会があればコンサートに伺いたいです。また時間があれば仙台教会にいらしていただきたいです。

Now , I found it. Praise the Lord. In 2019 I went to Japan for vacation . I didn’t see church over there except temples.
My wife and I are planning to visit Japan again and we will spare our time to visit your church.

Finally Japanese gospel songs! Perfect replacement for all the anime openings I was once addicted to that gave me the Hikikomori spirit.
For a long time, I would be so depressed and unproductive for no good reason. I thought it was 'normal' but one day, the Holy Spirit reminded me of one J-pop song I used to like and put on repeat. I checked the translation in English and realized it was all about suicide. I had spoken such things over my life unknowingly. By listening to J-pop, I opened myself to that strong spirit.
I asked the Lord to forgive me, renounced the things I spoke over my life through the songs, and met a Pastor in my church to pray for me. Christ delivered me from it, He can deliver you too.💛
Never forget, Jesus loves you and when you don't feel so, read Psalm 139.
