Bhenji...the part about Bhai Desa Singh Ji's Rehatnama where it states that the kirpan and kashera should never come off - and you stated I'm not sure why these two. Let me tell you something...in today's time especially as a woman I cannot tell you how much these two kakars have protected me whilst showering. You must always be ready to protect yourself even when you're bathing and have your most intimate body part covered should an emergency or need arise - you're not going to look around for clothes to put on or something to use as a weapon. You are always ready. This was one of the days where My Guru made me realize to stop questioning everything Guru Ji tells you to do. The Andar the Giaan will be revealed to you in it's own course. And remember you are most vulnerable when you are asleep and showering.

This topic reminds me of the story of Guru Nanak Dev Ji telling his sons to build a wall in the middle of the night, in the rain. They refused on the basis that it "didn't make sense". A wall built in the rain at night wouldn't be straight, or strong. For me, that's been an important lesson about not ascribing *human* motives to God's directives. Guru wasn't concerned about a strong wall, or a straight wall, but the sons were thinking about why THEY would want a wall. I've been really trying to keep in my thoughts that God doesn't do things for human reasons. ❤

We have bigger issues at hand to deal with. The mass migration out of Punjab means we NEED to work hard to keep the diaspora connected to Sikhi because if we don't they will lose touch after 1 or 2 generations, we also need fresh converts that are non Punjabis in order to expand the faith and most importantly we need to have more children. The lack of proper masculine role models for young diaspora Sikh men is also a massive issue.

Again your arguement for traveling doesn't make sense... "Some countries let you" no. You should travel by land and sea to keep your kirpan on you if you can never take them off. It's just like Guru Nanak teached not to do rediculous stuff like throw water at the sun to cool it down, where Guru nanak threw water towards his land to water it and they all laughed at him but realized they what they are doing is rediculous. Our 9th Guru Guru Teg Bahadaur Ji was stripped and shaheed'd after being tortured to save the hindu fate. But when they took his kirpan, and kanga, and everything they could, you're telling me the divine wouldn't give our guru his Darshan cause he was seperated from them. You're saying that Amritpal Singh now in Jail who won't be given a Kirpan cause the gov't wants him dead and because of that he won't attain Darshan... You should be asking for Darshan everyday after you clean up. Look I'm just saying when you sit with a Sant, you feel so much love, like you're so close to the divine. We're arguing little things like this and this is why people looking to take Amrit have such a hard time considering it. Ajjo Singh and Singhni, Amrit will take care of you. Don't worry about this extra stuff, Sacha Guru will never let go of your hand. He won't tell you you're not my Singh cause you didn't keep all 5 K's on you on tuesday morning of July 5th at 5am-5:15am. This is why I don't think this important. All of the gurbani you mention says to keep 5 on you, but not every second of the day. You won't be punished for not having a few of them for some time to shower, or to travel.
Not trying to say any of your references are wrong, they're right but your interprentation seems... well one sided. You say that right and wrong are not black and white but a specturm but you make a video response telling people they're wrong... it's not Sikhi... You know what we love about Guru Nanak... He went around and never made anyone feel small just that there's more he can add. Like the Saki when he goes to a muslim town and the town see's he's standing up there looking to get in. There send him a glass of milk filled to the brim, meaning we're full we don't need anymore teachers. He puts a lily on top and sends it back. Saying I'm not trying to take anything away from what you know, I'm only here to add more. Imma leave it at that, and also as Gursikh if you're making a video responding to people on your large channel without them having the same voice to respond back... at least of the decency of blurring out their names even if you don't agree with them. Educate them like Guru Nanak, don't villianize them.

I appreciate the respectful response Bhen Ji. While I agree, for those who have posited questions asking for evidence of Bibi Ji’s
Interpretation of Bani, those who have disagreed need not be outed for their opinions. After all, they do not have large channel by which to speak their opinions so strictly. “This is how a Sikh takes a shower,” or “this is too advanced for you to understand and is only for Amritdhari Sikhs,” (I am paraphrasing from this video and the response to it as well), is a holier-than-thou attitude we do not accept as truth in Sikhi.
That is not how a Sikh MUST take a shower. This is an opinion piece and not based on Gurbani.
The fact our Kirpan and Kachera should never “leave” the body, of taken as direct translation from Gurmukhi, does not mean they should never be not touching our body.
For example, if you are with your parents and Mata says, do not leave your Father alone, it does not mean you must have physical contact with him at all times. The direct translation does not mean this, and this has been taken out of context. If you can see them, and they are within arms reach, that is enough.
The reason we should never leave our Kirpan and Kachera behind (Bibi says she does not know “why these two” Kakaars in this video), is very simple. It is because we are to remain Tyar Bar Tyar at all times. Having them in reach in the shower, and keeping them attached to our person when dressed accomplishes this.
As for the comments being posted with people’s names, we should not practice hypocrisy. These names remain up. However, this divides the Panth.
Additionally, I personally commented on people saying they were unsubscribing to this channel because of what it has become; a couple people stated it had in effect become a channel about religious dogma, and Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was against any meaningless rituals.
I stated in response to these comments that I remain subscribed because I still receive knowledge from Bhai Jagraj Singh (and others) through this channel; videos I have not seen, amazingly. I attempted to encourage them to not throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water as they say.
However, when another person posted on the same thread of comments, saying they were wanting to come into Sikhi, I said no one is born a Sikh, they must choose it for themselves. Another user then posted someone posted a comment saying the person should find a video regarding the value of Seva. I responded, as my first comment was the first time I had even mentioned my channel, and told them the second video we have posted was entitled “Seeking Sikhi - PART 2: The Joy of Seva (Selfless Service).
All comments of this; the person wanting to come into Sikhi, the person suggesting they search for information on Seva, and my responding comment, all to me, can only be explained by Maharaja’s Kirpa for this individual who wanted to learn were seemingly deleted by the Basics of Sikhi team. I expect this comment will similarly be deleted.
No one owns Sikhi. But it is coming off as such to some people.
The road goes both ways. We are here to be Waheguru’s Sant-Sapais and Sevadars, not to compete for notoriety.
Thank you for the response and I hope you take this comment well.
Maf karo please for any mistakes or ill-feelings it may illicit. Perhaps I have too made mistakes. I mean no harm Bhen Ji and I have no ill-will towards these Sevadars. I do not seek to be a leader of any kind in the Panth.
My only Ardaas is to spread the message of Sikhi, and in this context, the equal treatment of all members of our Panth, and all human beings on this planet.
My other Ardaas today is for Waheguru Ji to bestow his Kirpa upon you specifically. And of course, everyone else in the world. Peace & Love.

Tyag means to give up something or surrender something..it does not means detached from body. For example, when you change your jeans and wear a fresh one that does not means you have done tyag of your jeans. Tyag of jeans would mean you will never wear jeans again., "Guru Gobind Singh ji saying that he does not give darshan to those who don't have Kesh and Kripaan" does not imply that in you home you can't take of your kripaan for shower. You wouldn't want amyone's darshan in shower anyways. You guy are making things up here. Other example is "tie turban twice a day and comb hair" how did you concluded from it that you can't keep the comb dowm on table? It simply says to comb hair.

We have to interpret keeping the five K in the context of today’s society. It’s not the 17th century anymore. Evolve, the whole Universe evolves. Satguru gave us the intellect to evolve.

Just because society changes doesn’t mean our Sikhi changes. Maharaj told us to keep our kakkar on body at all times, so we follow Guru Ji’s order. No hate though just wanted to make things clear❤

Yes, HOWEVER, it has to be within the grace of SatGuru. Evolution by their will and teachings never by our own. I would argue, a stricter adherence of the 5 K’s is going to be more relevant now (and even more so, going into the future) than the 17th Century: because of the nature of Kaljug getting darker, as time goes on.
Generally speaking, people underestimate the Great power of the 5’Ks.
      It’s a shame really.
