- This video is kind of long,it shows everything we’re doing to load and feed TMR to all our cows. This isn’t all of what we feed in one day it’s the first batch that gets fed in every location (7barns total). We feed 9 different batches and a total of 12 loads a day.
There is just something fascinating and hypnotic about watching the mixer mix food. I love it.
Just discovered your Channel about a week ago I was raised around trucks and heavy equipment but what you do in your operation is amazing enjoy all aspects of it I definitely be trying to get a job if I was anywhere near you I'll just be a watching.
Thanks for this video. Lots of information and good footage. This is something I've never seen as close as this video shows and I'm very thankful to you making it possible. I'm not a farmer but my grandparents and my mom all came from farms so I guess thats why I'm so facinated by all that you show in your videos. Also nice to see videos from a dairy farm as I find it hard to find anything this good out there on the internet.
FarmingPeter what do u you play farming on?
@@kristofferkurtsson4105 I play for the most part on pc. Also I like to play as realistic as I possibly can. I find very neat to be able to get the in cab view.
Amazing 👍🐄🚜
Nice looking commodity shed I'm playing with the idea of one once I get the cattle herd started up. I'm on 12 acres and have another 12 to 15 available to me for hay ground.
Nick Persenaire ya raise 10 cow calf pairs on that 😂😂😂 not really a need for a commodity shed with 20 acres
Thanks for great videos.. I’m a young farmer just starting out in ny too.
Wow, thats a lot of cows to be fed daily, how many all in? Its now understandable why you need so much corn, silage, hay etc. must take a lot of calculating so you don't run out before the next crp otherwise it would become expensive buying in. Its nice to see a bit of the other side of your farming business, it would be interesting to see more, ie milking, insemination and calfing and the steps to getting the newborns to milking age. thanks for sharing.
I would like to see the milking parlor
Im very impressed you have great running good organized farm 👍
Your cows look great my man.

This is amazing.
I take it the bovines have automatic water tanks.
Yes
If you don't mind me asking how much does it cost you to feed everyday? Do you have enough land to feed without having to buy feed from someone else?
centsless fabrication if he doesn’t answer I believe the average is 7$ per cow after all land and equipment expenses
Sorry for the dumb questions I'm born and raised in Las Vegas and the closet I have ever been to a farm is driving passed in California. I'm guessing every year is different but it's a fine line between being in the black or red at the end of every year?
CNTSLES fabrication every year is different, that’s what keeps it interesting.Feed cost varies as well it’s different on every farm,a rough estimate would be a cost of a little over $5 per milk producing cow per day for feed.
Do a video of how you push your feed back to the cows
How many cows are you milking?
Barend van Lindenberg we are milking 1550
I didn't know that you scraped ure allies with one of them ally scrapers just now noticed it
Cows look excellent! What's your cell count at? Would love to have sand bedding but our climate is a little hard to work with
Low
Kinda miss 6-2-10 we milked 270 cows three times a day here in Kansas. Milk prices here are so low don’t see how any of them survive. I guess just like us grain farmers
Well how much friges do u need to carie all that milk

Hourigan Family Dairy oh cool New York my dad is from New York
How many groups do u have and how do u rank ure cows and do milk 24hrs 7days
John Hatt they're grouped according to the amount of days in milk and age. We have 3 different lactating mixes, 2 dry cow mixes and 3 non lactating heifer mixes.
Is your vertical mixer hard to start when loaded? Heard they’re hard on PTOs
MrMagnum7220 yeah they start hard you can get a reduced gear box and start it with that and then shift it to regular speed after you feed some off.
Some have a auto transmission in the drive line
It’s in the Supreme owners manual not to shut the PTO off when it’s loaded
How many cows do u milk
Kevin Christiansen they have about 3000 in total
Like your setup, great video, would be nicer if captions didnt go bye so fast so you dont have to pause vid to read them.
How is the milk price at the barn in your country?

Why cows are thin?
because they are dairy cows, not beef. Don't worry it is completely normal.
