Always awesome to see people check out bbx for the first time! Just to clarify a couple things, they breathe by doing some sounds inhaling and some sounds exhaling, it's sort of a balance between making the music you want but still being able to breathe. For example, all of Dlow's bassy "lip bite" sounds are done inward, so he's actually taking in air when he does them. Also, the sound you thought was feedback from the mic in Zekka's second round was actually his throat! It's called a throat whistle and you do it basically by whispering. i dont know if anyone mention it already but yes he took his flow in the second verse and made it his own, its a counter , most people do it for like 10 secs and then change flow to their own routes, but d low made his whole second round from that counter which is insane

In Zekka’s second round there’s some references in the battle before.
He said “great shark let me taste your fin” because there’s a punchline that D-Low used in his semi final battle: “creeping in the dark rising up and grabbing Bart(another contestant) like a great shark”
And the line “running away from the kickback battle” is originated from D-Low’s wildcard to enter this battle, which he used the punchline “running away from the face of the world” the beat after Zekka saying that line is also from D-Low’s wildcard
Shame you started with pretty much the best battle lol but yeah, Dlow's honestly the GOAT at this point.

Nah, there's a lot of awesome other battles and beatboxers to check out still and be impressed by, but more like it's gonna be tough in the solo battles category to top that one imo^^
Some recommendations if you want :
- King Inertia GBB 2021 elimination round
- Vocodah (Headbangers)
- Napom (you can't roll like this)
- Elisii GBB 2019 elimination round
If you want more solo battles like that one you can keep going with Dlow's streak in the KBB with his elimination round and the other battles he did (all awesome and with a lot of counters each time so pretty interesting).
You can check the last GBB as well (2021) if you want more IRL battles, great rounds in there too, just like the GBB 2018 and 2019 battles, which are all good introdutions to a lot of other beatboxers and a lot of great routines as well.
You can also check some tag teams like Madtwinz, Kocha, Kpom... which are pretty next level too.
Some good loopstation introdution would be NME, Saro, Inkie imo.
Depends on what you're looking for at the end of the day, but I hope what I wrote helps you discover, understand and enjoy the beatbox scene a little more :)
