When people beg the question about other abuse victims who never documented the abuse, why didn't they take photos, or candidly record their abuse, this is why. Imagine the level of retaliation if a sociopathic, borderline psychopathic, personality found incriminating evidence against them in their spouse's phone. Someone may say, well why didn't the victim ever call the police? They are often scared of retaliation, plain and simple. I managed to escape before things got to that point with my abuser, who created a case that assassinated my character in court, and I had no documentation showing the things he did to me.
