All these symptoms for CDS describe myself (female) and my child (male) but neither of us have had any delays in speech our entire lives, just the opposite. My son scored 131 on a WISC IV test. He also has a slight vocal tic. I have been called spacey and forgetful my entire childhood, in my own world, I see this in my child as well. Mornings were bad for myself and now my son is having the same issue who is a teen, it is hard for me to help him when I never knew how to help myself. Improving sleep doesn't change anything, some days are better than others, time management has always been a challenge for us both. I stare to show eye contact but I know when I zone out, regulation of this is difficult. I bobbed my legs while working unknowing, I think it helps my focus, my son figits, music helps us both for concentration, something about the rhythm. We are both very calm on the outside, not hyper. Stimulants cause other problems, lack of sleep and eating. I have turned my back on medication because I think it causes more harm than good. I believe learning tools to adjust help more. Recognizing when it happens is the first step and then applying ways to redirect it.

@@walidsarwary im 26, born female (trans guy) and "lived" with undiagnosed adhd until i was 18, and heavily relate to CDS. My memory is not good at all! I often worry that there's something incredibly wrong with me because of it. While i'm no doctor and can only speak from experience, I am fairly confident that my memory issues are due to CDS. i highly recommend talking to your doctor about screening for dementia though, better safe than sorry, y'know?

i very recently got an adult adhd diagnosis but i'm finding the potential cds diagnosis to actually fit whats going on with my brain where as i don't seem to display a lot of those more typical adhd features you'd expect to see

The same happened to me. Not sure if there is an overlap of the two, or perhaps just a misdiagnosis.

If you mean that the brain turns off for sertain things or for everything depending on drive/motivation corrolation and turns on variable or with perfectly tuned adhd medications or often stimulants or brutal sport (very very rare) then yes, that is a thing. Its really laughable my body would somethimes turn off so much that i hit myself painfully multible times in a row its the "low drive" "clumsy"

Everyone of your videos is at least 30+ min. In what world is someone with ADHD going to sit through a single one of your videos? You need a shorter format. It's too bad because I genuinely need help but this is not it.

Did you try watching videos with higher speed? I noticed that I can better focus on the content if I watch them faster. But it doesn't work always.

It is not primarly destined to ADHD individuals but medical professionals and parents, I think. Like the other guy said, turning on the higher speed youtube feature can help I guess

I listen until my mind starts to wonder. I come back later to listen to more.
